I'm trying to make a custom, and want opinions. If you can't say something to contribute, please don't respond.
I'm in the process of making a DA Sid Vicious (complete with WCW title and leather vest!), and am thinking of putting RA 1 Orton's long boots on DA Kane's legs (switching them off at the appropriate location on the leg). What do you guys think?

I hope that you're either going to make a new knee joint or do a transplant... because if you are planning on just swapping them out, he'll end up a lot shorter.

Hey brother.
I'm not really familiar with how the RA and DA customs work since I haven't taken one apart yet. I can however tell you from experience that it is a pain in the ass trying to cut and fuse legs together like that. I know you're and epoxy sculptor so I would recommend finding the right sized legs and sculpting on the boots.
Or, here's an idea... make a mold (I use sculpey for my molds) of the Orton boots and use them to sort of mold the boots with epoxy onto the Kane legs. You know what I mean?

HR2X -- Nah, he'll end up a few cm shorter, but that's it.
Ianarchy -- Dude. The only problem with that is, I don't cast/mold. The DA Kane has the kickpad mold, and would prefer to use that for another figure.
I think what I'm going to do is, transplant and see how it goes.....will keep you guys posted.

Go for it man. Just make sure you're using a strong super glue or epoxy glue before filling in and sanding down the seems. Snap some proto pics if you can.

are you sure you would want to use kane? i mean, you would have to paint the legs, if i were you, i would use DA triple h. but if youre looking to use the other parts of kanes legs, thats ok too. id really like to see what the vicious, it sounds like it will be awesome

Ok. Here's what happened:
I tore apart my Kerry custom. Evidently it wasn't that great, didn't get many replies and it BOMBED on ebay.
So, I used the Orton body instead. Cut the calves in (what seemed to be) the correct places. Using a little AS and some super glue, I glued the RA Orton long boots onto the DA Orton calves. I also dug out some of the top of the boots to retain the lower knee artic. It worked. I do have to fill in *just a little bit*, but it worked. He's slightly shorter than DA Taker but taller than the RAs. I feel like I accomplished.
