Aight, NXT. Let's go! A decent opener with the red hot, momentum and looks wise, Paige defeating Sasha Banks. Banks is one to watch in the future, so I hope you do her justice. Paige vs Emma next week sounds golden. Potential main event? A good Corey Graves promo, and I like this storyline between Graves and Neville vs The Ascension. Aye, Aiden English joining forces with Lefort and ALEXANDER Rusev? Should be good, and I see comedy ensuing between Lefort and English. A huge win for Rusev defeating a former WWE champion. Puts him over as a huge threat. Hopefully Lana comes in to the NXT soon to join him. A good promo by Prince Pretty. I hope you do big things with him, he's golden. The BFFs causing trouble I see. I hope Emma doesn't join them. Actually, I wish to see Paige and Emma join forces to feud with the BFFs. Okay, here's the gauntlet. Ohno over Dempsey was good as a first match. Dempsey wasn't over at this time and he fit the bill of big guy taking a loss to perfection here. Maybe down the road Dempsey could have a little push? ADAM ROSE! Err.. Leo Kruger. A good second match in this gauntlet. A huge heel move by Bo Dallas. But hey, save the best for last, right? This stipulation is interesting. I think Ohno is going to win, but the way you worded it as 'Ohno has to leave NXT' has me believing Bo will retain and Kassius will go to the main roster. A good episode of NXT, can't wait for the next one.

WWE NXT - Wednesday 15th January 2014 - Winter Park, FL (#204) Taped: Thursday 9th January 2014 - Only on WWE.com! "OH NO! IT'S THE GAUNTLET"
Tonight on NXT:
- Best friends collide in the main event, as the 'Anti-Diva' Paige defends her NXT Women's Championship against the 'Dancing Queen' Emma - a rematch from the finals of last June's NXT Women's Championship tournament.
- Sami Zayn plans to call out Antonio Cesaro in regards to the 'Swiss Superman's interference during his match two weeks ago.
- Aiden English proves himself to the Legionnaires tonight when he goes up against WWE Superstar Tyson Kidd.
- NXT Tag Team Champions Adrian Neville and Corey Graves will be in separate singles matches tonight in an attempt to see whom the better man is.
The opening graphic aired, introducing this week's edition of NXT featuring WWE Superstars of the past and the present. A video package followed, reviewing two weeks ago where a number one contender's match took place, the winner going on to challenge for the NXT Women's Championship in Paige's possession. A hard-fought bout, Summer Rae and Emma battled it out in a passionate battle, which was finally won by Emma courtesy of the Emma-Lock. But then it became clear: that Emma and Paige, the best of friends were about to compete for the big one; competition setting in ahead of tonight's NXT Women's Championship encounter.
The opening video package for NXT aired, as we cut to the Full Sail University where Byron Saxton, Tensai and Alex Riley welcomed us to the show, advertising the NXT Women's Championship being at stake tonight: plus, Sami Zayn plans to confront Antonio Cesaro after his involvement in his Falls Count Anywhere battle two weeks ago.
(00:02)
NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPION ADRIAN NEVILLE def. CAMACHO - With tensions running high between the NXT Tag Team Champions, Adrian Neville was in singles action tonight against a former challenger to the titles, Camacho. Camacho with no Hunico in sight seemed to look quite annoyed tonight with Neville, and it didn't help much that the 'Man That Gravity Forgot' had the Full Sail audience completely behind him in this power vs speed contrast match. Camacho tried to ground Neville early on in the match, but Neville continued to be the agile workhorse that he is, a standing shooting star press connecting for a two count on Camacho. The Mexican fought back against the Brit however, roughing up Neville and almost finishing him off with a DDT - but Adrian continued to fire back, cutting the legs from underneath Camacho with a dropkick to the legs, and soon after Neville came off the top rope with the Red Arrow for the victory at 5:27. **
The NXT Universe applauded Adrian Neville on his victory, as the NXT Tag Team Champion celebrated with the title in hand. The 'Man That Gravity Forgot' victorious tonight against Camacho. To add to this, out came Oliver Grey, the other half of the British Ambition to applaud and celebrate alongside Neville; the former NXT Tag Team Champions celebrating in the ring. Suddenly, the theme of Corey Graves hit - and the official other half of the NXT Tag Team Champions made his way out to the ring to seemingly outshine this feelgood moment; Graves making his way out for some singles action of his own! (00:09)
A video package aired, reviewing the press conference that took place yesterday in Las Vegas, Nevada; a handful of WWE Superstars and Hall of Famers on hand as the big unveiling of a surprise was made: the debut of the WWE Network! Available on personal computers, the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Smart Phones and Smart TVs; the Network will be a huge happening with 3000 hours worth of video footage in their extensive library - plus, original content such as WWE Legend's House, the Monday Night War, the WrestleMania Rewind; and to top it off, WWE programming such as Main Event and NXT will all be coming to the Network. The WWE Network will arrive and launch on Monday, February 24, 2014 following Monday Night RAW.(00:11)
KALISTO def. NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPION COREY GRAVES - With Adrian Neville already victorious tonight on NXT, the other half of the NXT Tag Team Champions Corey Graves wanted to get a win of his own, but this could prove to be difficult, taking on the ever-talented Kalisto tonight. The luchadore Kalisto was not with his tag team partner Sin Cara tonight, but Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey did decide to stick around at ringside and spectate on Neville's partner's performance tonight. The 'Savior of Misbehavior' used his size as an advantage against the youngster, but this perhaps was a rookie mistake on Graves' part: Corey seemingly underestimating Kalisto as he worked the knee, beginning to also slap around the Mexican superstar. But this is where Kalisto began to fire back, kicking away at the thighs of Graves before flying around the ring with an amazing headscissors. Kalisto followed up as he tried to put Graves away with the leg trap sunset flip for two: but the 'Savior of Misbehavior' cut him off. Graves smirked at the British Ambition in obnoxiousness for perhaps too long however, and Graves wound up getting nailed with the Salida del Sol, giving Kalisto a huge victory, the Mexican youngster getting the win at 7:41. **1/4
The Full Sail fans applauded Kalisto in his win, as the 'Agile Warrior' rolled out of the ring to celebrate some more as Corey Graves looked on in disbelief from the ring. Meanwhile, Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey watched on in pity at Neville's co-champion partner. Graves quickly rolled out of the ring in disgust, when the Ascension suddenly walked down to the ring behind Graves, jumping the 'Savior of Misbehavior' from behind! Konnor and Viktor pounded away at Graves, Konnor delivering a spinebuster to Graves right on the rampway!
Grey and Neville dashed out to Graves' aid, trading blows with the Ascension; Neville sending Konnor into the steel steps as Grey tossed Viktor down the side of the rampway! Neville and Grey tried to aid to a groggy Graves; but he was unappreciative - shoving the British Ambition members away and storming off up the rampway, his NXT Tag Team Championship belt dragging behind him. Further trouble in paradise ahead of the champions' next title defense.
(00:20) In the backstage area, Sylvester Lefort was shown with his collective of assembled clients; Alexander Rusev and Aiden English. Lefort started off by congratulating the 'Bulgarian Brute' on his victory last week against the Miz. The French businessman seemed incredibly pompous as he promised Rusev even greater challenges in the next couple of weeks, before addressing his new client: the singer. Lefort told English that tonight is his challenge to take on a former WWE Superstar of his own: Tyson Kidd. Lefort told English to do it for the Legionnaires, to which English brown-nosed Lefort, telling him that he would not let this opportunity slip, thanking him profusely and promising to get the job done - for the Legionnaires.
(00:21)
In an exclusive WWE.com video taken after NXT last week, 'Prince Pretty' was shown throwing a temper tantrum in the backstage area following being defeated and humiliated by Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, his high school yearbook photo being revealed, exposing his acne-filled youth. Tyler Breeze was shown shouting about how he is the hottest superstar in NXT right now, and that everybody is just jealous, jealous of Tyler and jealous of his good looks. Breeze vowed to make the New Yorkers pay for what they've done.
(00:22)
MOJO RAWLEY def. SLATE RANDALL - The 'Hype Man' landed in NXT a little over a month ago, and he has still yet to take off up until tonight. The ever energetic former football player for the Green Bay Packers and the Arizona Cardinals having gotten ready for this: his re-debut on NXT against up-and-coming superstar from the WWE Performance Center, Slate Randall. Randall attempted to fight with Mojo, but Rawley was far too fierce; nailing Randall with a butt bump and following up with a running headbutt giving the 'Hype Man' the victory in 0:49. n/a
The 'Hype Man' was victorious tonight in NXT, a month after his first match. Mojo Rawley celebrated his win by running around the ring in victory, reminding the NXT fans in Winter Park, Florida to stay hyped! That is however until the theme of Antonio Cesaro hit, the WWE Superstar catching Rawley off-guard. Cesaro made his way down to the ring suited tonight, the 'Swiss Superman' seemingly here to address Sami Zayn before Zayn got a chance to address him!
(00:24)
With the unexpected arrival of Antonio Cesaro, the NXT broadcast team wondered where Sami Zayn was, having expected to see Zayn call out Cesaro instead. The Real Americans representative walked to the ring, as Cesaro took a microphone from the ringside area. He addressed the NXT Universe, talking about how the agenda of Sami Zayn was to come out here and call him out - but the 'Swiss Superman' thought he'd make things go down a little differently. Cesaro talked about how it was four months ago on NXT where he defeated Sami Zayn and their business with one another came to an end. But since then, he has been getting involved with what Sami has been doing because he wants to mentor him.
Cesaro continued, stating that he has watched Sami for a long time, watching him evolve from the independent circuit, to moving up to NXT: and he has seen the passion and determination in his eyes, and while he likes the fire that Sami Zayn has shown: he still doesn't believe that Sami has IT. Cesaro continued, talking about Sami continuing to show adversity as a threat to himself, calling the Syrian-Canadian his own worst enemy in the WWE. Cesaro talked about how tonight, Sami won't be calling anybody out: instead, Cesaro will be calling Sami Zayn out! The NXT Universe booed as Cesaro awaited the arrival of his so-called "protegé'. With that, the theme of Sami Zayn hit, applause emanating from the Full Sail fanbase.
Out came Sami Zayn to cheers, who appeared determined tonight to confront Cesaro regardless of how it goes down. Dressed in a blazer and a hat, Sami took off the hat upon entering the ring, Sami with a microphone of his own in hand. Zayn addressed Cesaro, talking about how he appreciates what Cesaro's doing: he wants his own stamp of approval of Sami Zayn. But what Cesaro fails to realize is that Sami has been doing this for so long he doesn't need Cesaro's help, and he doesn't think that what Cesaro is offering isn't going to benefit him as much as it would benefit Antonio. Sami continued, stating that Cesaro likes to show off as if he is the gatekeeper of NXT: but he needs to realize that he is no gatekeeper, he just wants people to look at him once in a while and feel appreciated by someone! Zayn said that Cesaro is all about himself, and he's all about keeping Zayn down, and that Zayn isn't going to let Cesaro move past this. Sami told Cesaro that he wants Cesaro one more time, and on this occasions, he will not take no for an answer.
Sami told Cesaro that for too long as he been a thorn in his side, and that he must defeat Antonio Cesaro once and for all. The NXT Universe erupted, as Cesaro simply smirked and shook his head, choosing to leave and retreat to the backstage area. Sami seemed puzzled by Cesaro's reaction, as Cesaro simply left without turning back at Zayn.
(00:29)
Another video package aired promoting the upcoming debut of Baron Corbin. Corbin was shown driving his motorcycle up to the outside of the Full Sail University. In a voiceover he talked about how he has traveled for so long, he has withstood the test of time - and finally, he had made it. Baron Corbin, the 'New Enigma' arrives in NXT next week.
(00:30)
- NEXT WEEK: The 'Enigma' Baron Corbin has been sending messages to NXT viewers every week hyping his arrival in NXT. Next week, the 'Enigma' finally arrives in his debut.
AIDEN ENGLISH def. TYSON KIDD - It was time for Aiden English to test his worth in the Legionnaires faction set up by French businessman Sylvester Lefort. But the singer was up against a WWE Superstar tonight in Tyson Kidd. Previously, English has competed against Rob Van Dam and come up short, but with Lefort's fellow Legionnaire Alexander Rusev getting a win over former WWE Champion The Miz last week, it was a big test for English to show his worth tonight. Kidd caught English off-guard with his agility early on, using several hard-hitting kicks on English, but Aiden English managed to get the better of Tyson using his smash-mouth style. A huge forearm broke up a chain-wrestling attempt by Tyson, and English was off to the races, including hitting a double foot stomp on Tyson. The 'Drama King' of NXT nailed Tyson with several European uppercuts, trying to stun Tyson - but once again Kidd fought back, connecting with a springboard dropkick stunning English. Kidd went for a fisherman suplex, but English managed to block it, clubbing Kidd with another uppercut before nailing the Director's Cut, giving the 'Artiste' his victory at 4:48. **
The NXT Universe booed as Aiden English's hand was raised in victory, the 'Artiste' then taking a microphone and singing about his victory and allegiance to the Legionnaires. Backstage from a monitor, a silent Alexander Rusev and extremely pleased Sylvester Lefort watched on, cementing English's spot with the Legionnaires.
(00:38)
In the womens locker room, the NXT Women's Champion Paige was shown preparing for her upcoming title defense against best friend Emma in our main event; but that's when the BFFs arrived. Summer Rae and Sasha Banks approached Paige as Paige seemed quite defensive over their presence. Summer told Paige to take it easy, convincing the 'Anti-Diva' that tonight is her night to show her dominance. Summer then told Paige that she wanted to let her know that if she needed the BFFs assistance, they would glad help out. Paige shook it off, telling Summer that she wouldn't need any help. Paige further told Summer and Sasha to go away because they are about to see what women's wrestling is truly all about. Paige walked off, as the BFFs watched on, scheming some more after trying to talk to Emma last week.(00:40)
- NEXT WEEK: A graphic aired, promoting Bo Dallas holding a funeral for the career of Kassius Ohno. The NXT Heavyweight Champion has sentenced his number one contender to put his career on the line when they meet for the title: however next week, Bo Dallas will preview the end of the 'Knockout Kid's career in this very ring.
#NXTDivas NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIPPAIGE (c) vs EMMA This looked to be the biggest test in the careers of two good friends, the NXT Women's Champion Paige and the number one contender from Australia, Emma. The two friends fought all comers for so long, taking on the likes of Summer Rae and her BFF associates, but after Emma gained contention two weeks ago on NXT, this friendship seemed to start being about who the better Diva was in the ring. Paige furthered this last week on NXT when she got a victory against Sasha Banks of the BFFs, and tonight in the main event with the stakes raised, this was all about competition and the NXT Women's Championship to both NXT Divas.
Emma and Paige were all business once in the ring, as Paige and Emma started off exchanging holds with one another, as Paige attempted to go for the Scorpion Crosslock just for Emma to repeatedly block it out. The two continued with Emma getting the better of Paige, a backslide for two followed by a sunset flip and a small package; all getting two as Paige fought out of it. The 'Dancing Queen' had the NXT Universe behind her as she danced in the corner, the 'Anti-Diva' smiling in response seemingly to think of a way to get on top of her opponent and best friend. Paige succeeded this time, going for power, a short-arm clothesline on Emma getting the NXT Women's Champion in control.
Paige continued as she nailed a headscissors on Emma before focusing on wrenching the arm of Emma - but the Australian fought back against the Brit, coming out of it with a northern lights suplex - reversed by the strength of Paige into a backslide for two - but when Emma rolled out of it she landed on her feet, a front dropkick connecting to the face of Paige! Emma continued as Paige backed into the corner, Emma connecting with the Emma-mite Sandwich - Emma in control going to the second rope for a hurricanrana attempt; but Paige managed to reverse it into a big backbreaker on the blonde! The alternative NXT Women's Champion went back to work on Emma, the Full Sail University split between these two fan favouites, as Paige started to wrench the arms even more on Emma.
Paige continued to batter away on the arms, working over them with several armlocks. Paige soon set up for the Scorpion Crosslock one more time, but Emma managed to fight out of it, nailing Paige with clothesline after clothesline, before catching Paige in the ropes attempting to go for the Dil-Emma but Paige managed to power out, dropkicking Emma to the outside floor! Paige seemingly had grown tiresome of Emma's routine as she roped her into the ring and attempted the Paige Turner, but Emma dodged it and nailed Paige with a big boot; Emma then locking in the Emma Lock on Paige; Paige squirming and attempting to reach the ropes to avoid losing the title - but after a minute in the hold and Paige being on the verge of submitting, out came the BFFs, Summer Rae getting into the ring and kicking Emma off of Paige causing the disqualification finish at 12:42! WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: EMMA (**3/4) (PAIGE RETAINS THE NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP)
The NXT Universe booed loudly as Summer Rae picked Emma up and tossed her into Sasha Banks, the Australian victim to the Bankrupt of Banks! Summer Rae and Sasha Banks then took a strange look at Paige, down in the corner; but the 'Anti-Diva' shook her head and rolled out of the ring, the NXT Universe booing at this strange ending to NXT. The NXT Women's Champion yelled at the BFFs that she didn't want this; Summer Rae and Sasha Banks stood tall in the ring over a visibly hurt Emma. (00:55)
In a sudden conclusion to NXT, we went to the office of NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield, as JBL was shown working away on something until someone entered the room. JBL looked up and met eyes with WWE COO Triple H. Layfield asked the boss why he was here, to which 'The Game' replied telling Layfield that he has got huge news for NXT. Triple H told Layfield to walk with him, as the two walked out of the office and closed the door; WWE NXT going off the air.
(00:56)
WWE NXT RESULTS: 01/15/2014 Emma def. Paige by disqualification; Paige retains the NXT Women's Championship Aiden English def. Tyson Kidd Mojo Rawley def. Slate Randall Kalisto def. Corey Graves Adrian Neville def. Camacho

I love the tension between the NXT Tag Team Champions. It makes for compelling stuff. Adrian Neville over Camacho is fine. I was never a big fan of Camacho. Big win for Kalisto over Corey Graves. I liked this booking decision. While it furthers Tag Team Title angle, it also gets Kalisto a big win, and I see some serious potential in him. I really dig the combination of Sylvester Lefort, Alexander Rusev and Aiden English. While I adore Aiden's singing gimmick, I think a tag team of English and Rusev with Lefort as the mouthpiece could be something. Mojo Rawley sucks. Plain and simple. Great build for Sami Zayn/Cesaro, especially the mentor stuff. Interesting to say the least. Early to bring in Baron Corbin but I like it. Aiden English over Tyson Kidd would be terrible in present day but this is before Tyson got his awesome new character. The BBFs are still very intriguing. Love the shine that the girls got, being in the main event spot. Having the BFFs cause the match to end in a DQ made sense as I can see a blowoff or something with the BFFs coming at NXT ArRival, if you decide to do that, which I hope you do. Another solid episode, I look forward to reading more.

NXT News of the Week (January 15-22, 2014)
- WWE.com has begun advertising the WWE Network's launch on February 23, and notably, WWE NXT is being featured as 'exclusive content' on the Network. Not only does this mean that NXT will be moving from WWE.com to the WWE Network, but it will also seemingly be changing days from Wednesdays to Thursdays. It is assumed at this time that NXT will remain to be available for streaming via Hulu. (January 16, 2014)
- In what's considered very newsworthy - inside sources have confirmed that whilst Eddie Edwards has signed a developmental contract and will be reporting to Orlando, Florida in February - Davey Richards has signed with TNA instead. Sources state that Triple H liked what he saw in Edwards but wasn't very interested in Richards: notably during their tryout match on NXT television last month with the Ascension Richards came down hard on his head at one point in a scary bump. That said, it now appears that the American Wolves have officially been divided. (January 18, 2014)
- Enzo Amore tweeted yesterday that he would be able to start training again after this weekend (@wweaallday21): "I should letchu know ahead I'm coming back on my worst behavior #NXT 'CertifiedG". Amore was injured in November after breaking his leg - whether or not it means we will be seeing Enzo return to the ring at the next tapings is to be unconfirmed." (January 20, 2014)
- It has been a busy couple of weeks for NXT Diva Emma, who has started appearing on the main roster in recent weeks. Appearing in the crowd at episodes of Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown, particularly on camera with her 'EMMA-LUTION' catchphrase on display in form of a sign, it now appears that Emma is on her way to being promoted to being a WWE Diva. It is currently expected that she will remain on NXT until the Spring. In similar news, Paige is expected to be the next NXT Diva to move to the WWE roster. (January 16, 2014)
- Of note, NXT Superstar Tyler Breeze has been absent from live events this weekend - instead, Tyler has been appearing on WWE live events. On Friday in St Louis, MO and on Saturday in Cincinnati, OH Tyler was victorious against WWE Superstar Justin Gabriel. (January 21, 2014)
- In the 'Where Are They Now?' category, Total Divas Season 1 star JoJo has started training at the WWE Performance Center. The ex-Total Diva who performed the American National Anthem at SummerSlam has also been ring announcing at NXT live events for the past couple of weeks. (January 20, 2014)
- Former multi-time WWE Tag Team Champion Scotty 2 Hotty was in attendance at NXT's live event at Daytona, Florida on Saturday night. The former member of Too Cool tweeted about his experience (@thescotty2hotty): "At @wwenxt in Daytona with @realbillygunn @emmawwe @wwetensai pic.twitter.com/jLDbiI9Dv9". It seems as though he was just there to catch up with former WWE colleagues Tensai, Billy Gunn and others. (January 19, 2014)

WWE NXT Live Event: January 17, 2014Lakeland, Florida - Lakeland Armory
The last time WWE NXT came to Lakeland's Armory was back on June 27. No return date was announced tonight however. The venue was pretty full for the main part: there was roughly over 100 people in attendance for this card tonight. Notably former Total Divas star JoJo did the ring announcing for the matches tonight.
| Mason Ryan def. Aiden English in a sloppy opening contest. The Lakeland audience were familiar with Mason Ryan for his Batista-resemblance, as well as his previous stint on WWE television in the New Nexus. Ryan has seemingly improved, but he was pretty reckless with Aiden English tonight. Sylvester Lefort was with English, and this one featured a lot of stalling. Ryan finally got a hold of English and put him away with a swinging rock bottom for the win.
| Bayley def. Becky Lynch in a surprisingly decent Divas match. Bayley is still pretty green in the ring, but she was in there against a pretty good worker in Becky Lynch. The former Rebecca Knox sported a new look with dyed brown hair and taking on a rocker personality in this one: and she worked the heel working away on Bayley. One thing about Bayley is that she really knows how to get the fans to feel sympathetic for her and rally behind her. Bayley soon made a comeback and got the win with the Bayley-to-Belly suplex.
| C.J. Parker def. Jason Jordan in a short match. The Lakeland fans heckled Parker throughout for his dreadlocks and his environmentalist persona - but due to Jason Jordan's lack of prior in-ring experience, they seemed disinterested in this one for the main part. Parker would get the win with a variation of a Michinoku driver for the win in a short match-up. Parker cut a promo about going green to boos before the bout.
| Leo Kruger def. Colin Cassady in a solid match-up. Despite Kruger working an extremely methodical style, Colin Cassady managed to bring something great out of the bounty hunter tonight. 'Big Cass' did not have Enzo Amore with him - however he got the fans rallied up before the match. A surprisingly long bout consisting of Kruger working on the back of Cassady in a brawl that spread to the ringside area. At one point Kruger gave Cass a spinebuster on the outside for a near count-out win. Cass tried to fight back and put Kruger away with a big boot - but Kruger won with the Kruger's End. A surprisingly successful match that got the crowd involved. Both shone.
| Alexander Rusev def. Oliver Grey in a short match to calm the crowd down prior to the main event. Oliver Grey still had the Lakeland fans on his side, but when it was revealed that his opponent would be Alexander Rusev, it seemed like it was a lost cause come quick. The Bulgarian battered Grey, but with Grey being a heavyweight like Rusev, the Brit managed to fire back as well. Grey tried to take Rusev down at several points, but Rusev would get the win with the Accolade for the win. The crowd hated Rusev - of note Sylvester Lefort was at ringside with Rusev.
| Kassius Ohno and NXT Tag Team Champions Adrian Neville & Corey Graves def. NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas & The Ascension in a six-man tag team bout. A competitive bout containing six of the best members of the roster right now. The dynamics of the teams were particularly fun in this one, as Bo Dallas seemed comically reluctant to be teaming with Konnor and Viktor whilst Kassius Ohno and Adrian Neville kept getting in the way of Corey Graves in some fun strange bedfellow action. Neville was the man in peril, but whenever he tried to tag in Graves, he would stall and walk away. Neville soon got payback by nailing a plancha on the Ascension and Graves at ringside. The bout eventually came down to Ohno and Dallas, where the NXT Champion rolled Ohno up for a near fall, followed up with KO on Bo for the win. Ohno and Graves stuck around after the match to shake hands with fans and sign autographs. A very fun main event that would translate well on television.

WWE NXT Live Event: January 18, 2014Daytona Beach, Florida - Cypress Rec Center
This was the first live event that WWE's developmental promotion NXT has come to Daytona Beach and the turnout was quite small with about 50 people in attendance. Former Total Divas star JoJo worked as the ring announcer for the night. No return date was announced, but she did perform the American National Anthem.
| Mason Ryan def. Aiden English in a short opening contest. Aiden was fantastic as he sang his way to the ring accompanied by Sylvester Lefort - who also got a lot of heat from the crowd. English stalled quite a lot from the recognizable former WWE Superstar Mason Ryan, interacting with the fans in the front row. Ryan would put English away with the swinging rock bottom - the former New Nexus star has improved in the ring but still lacks a lot of charisma. English and Lefort were great.
| Becky Lynch & Veronica Lane def. Bayley & Alexa Bliss in a tag team match that put the crowd to sleep. Bayley tried to get the fans into the match, but because of the lack of personalities in this match - with Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch not previously being on television - it made things quite hard. Veronica Lane is apparently a trainee from the Performance Center, and this could very well have been her professional debut. Lynch had a rocker personality in this one and worked over Bliss. Bayley made the hot tag, but a sit-out spinebuster from Lynch got her team the win. The fans didn't really react to this match.
| C.J. Parker def. Jason Jordan in a decent match. Parker's environmentalist character really gets the fans going, as he slandered the fans for not being pro-green before the match. Jason Jordan showed a lot of shine in this one, and the Daytona crowd actually enjoyed watching him. Jordan caused Parker to retreat to ringside on two or three occasions, but Parker would get the win in the end with a side slam.
| Colin Cassady def. Leo Kruger in a good brawl. Leo Kruger had the Daytona fans weirded out by him, thanks to turning out the lights upon his entrance to the ring. Surprisingly, the 50+ people in attendance were really vocal in this one and backed 'Big Cass' throughout. A hard-hitting brawl, Kruger worked over the back of Cassady and the two NXT superstars continued to trade blows around the ringside area. Kruger hit Cass with a nasty looking spinebuster on the outside at one point. Cass eventually fought back, reversing the Kruger's End into a big boot for a surprising win. Cass shook hands with kids in the front row after the match. Cass was not with Enzo Amore but retained the loudmouth personality in the match.
| Alexander Rusev def. Oliver Grey in a comedown match. Sylvester Lefort accompanied Rusev to the ring, which brought more heat on the Bulgarian thanks to Lefort's involvements in the opening contest with Aiden English. The Daytona crowd didn't really know who Oliver Grey was, but Grey managed to get in enough offense to make the small crowd pop for his moves. Grey tried to put Rusev away with a second rope tornado DDT but Rusev managed to reverse it allowing Rusev to put Grey away with a sharp running superkick. Rusev was hated here.
| NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas & The Ascension def. Kassius Ohno and NXT Tag Team Champions Adrian Neville & Corey Graves in the main event. Very entertaining stuff from these six men. Bo Dallas got the most heat of the night, whilst Kassius Ohno and Adrian Neville's reactions were tied for biggest pops. Corey Graves continued to be a jerk towards his partner Neville, wanting all of the applause and respect just to get booed. The Daytona crowd were very vocal in this one. Neville was the man in peril as Konnor and Viktor isolated him (looking very impressive throughout), and whenever Neville managed to slither away and almost make the tag to Graves, Corey comically kept walking away. Eventually Neville got the hot tag to Kassius Ohno and the action spilled to the outside. Neville got his revenge on Corey with a corkscrew plancha onto him alongside the Ascension as the action came down to Bo Dallas and Kassius Ohno. Ohno had Bo set up for the KO, but Bo managed to duck it and roll Kassius up with the tights and the ropes for a cheap victory. After the match the Ascension deserted the NXT Heavyweight Champion, leaving Bo Dallas with Kassius Ohno and Adrian Neville. Ohno nailed Bo with the KO before allowing Neville to hit the Red Arrow for the victory. Ohno and Neville socialized with fans and signed autographs after the match. A fun show despite the lacklustre undercard and the small turnout.

Thought the opening to the most recent TV worked very well you advanced the tension between Grey, Neville and Graves gave Kalisto a boost and continued Ascensions hunt for the tag titles. Very well done.
I'm not sold on the Rusev, Lefort & English group.... Yet Good win for English over Kidd who I hope will go on to bigger things.
Nice to see the women get the Main Event spot and it was a good match.
Intrigued about the final segment with HHH & JBL hopefully that goes somewhere.
Other thoughts - liking the win loss records being introduced. Also while I would have signed both Wolves I agree that Richards has more upside than Richards.
Good show with the tag title picture being the highlight like I said earlier the start of the show was great clever booking. Round of applause!

Since you prefer me to reply to the actual shows over the house shows, we're rewinding to your post from eleven days ago. A good opening contest between Adrian Neville and Camacho that would have been solid, with an expected victory for Neville. Such a confusing situation with Neville, Grey and Graves! It's a love triangle and crap. Wow, surprised to see Kalisto get the victory over Corey Graves, but it certainly made him look like a damn fool. Graves is pissed as all dick! DON'T TOUCH HIM, BRITISH AMBITION! The Legionnaires, eh? Interesting choice for a name. I feel a bit bad for Rusev, would like to see him be Rusev Crush. I don't like Tyler Breeze much. So, well, meh. Enzo Amore and Big Cass should kick his ass! BADA BOOM! RELEAST REPLY IN THE ROOM! Boom, jobber Slate Randall. Good job Mojo Rawley with the squash. I'd call Slate Randall S-A-W-F-T! SAWFT! SAWFT! SAWFT! Next up, a solid promo for Antonio Cesaro and Sami Zayn that continues this big feud, with Cesaro being a big fat bitch! Sour cockball, mate. Baron Corbin is here next week! LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS! Aiden English beating Tyson Kidd was fine. Expected with English being a part of The Legionnaire now. Emma defeating Paige via disqualificatino! BOOOOOOOO! Eff-ah-you, Summer Rae and Sasha Banks. You both suck. Well, Summer more than Sasha. OH SNAP! TRIPLE H HAS SOME BIG NEWS FOR JBL! I WONDER WHAT IT IS! BAH GAWD! A big signing, perhaps? A fine edition of NXT with a good cliffhanger ending.

WWE NXT - Wednesday 22nd January 2014 - Winter Park, FL (#205) Taped: Thursday 9th January 2014 - Only on WWE.com! "THE FUNERAL OF KASSIUS OHNO"
Tonight on NXT:
- The ever brash NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas went out of his way to make Kassius Ohno lose the Gauntlet set up for him last week - and in the process made their upcoming title match a loser leaves NXT match. Tonight, the arrogant champion plans to hold a funeral for the number one contender.
- Tyler Breeze was humiliated by Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore two weeks ago when Big Cass and Enzo showed 'Prince Pretty's high school yearbook photos. Tonight, the 'Gorgeous One' plans revenge as he meets Big Cass in a rematch.
- After weeks and weeks of vignettes promoting his debut in NXT, Baron Corbin finally makes his arrival to the Full Sail University tonight.
- After involving themselves in the NXT Women's Championship last week between Paige and Emma, Summer Rae and Sasha Banks will address their involvement in last week's main event tonight.
- On their route to challenging for the NXT Tag Team Championships in possession of Adrian Neville and Corey Graves, the Ascension will team up to take on Xavier Woods and Yoshi Tatsu of the Super Friends.
The opening graphic aired, introducing this week's edition of NXT featuring WWE Superstars of the past and the present. A video package followed dating back to two weeks ago on this programme where the next number one contender to the NXT Heavyweight Championship Kassius Ohno was made to run the gauntlet with a chance to name a stipulation on the line for his rematch with Bo Dallas. Ohno was able to bypass NXT rookie Bull Dempsey, as well as managing to overcome the adversity of South-African bounty hunter Leo Kruger; but in a dastardly coy by the obnoxious champion, Bo Dallas declared himself the final opponent of a fatigued Ohno's; easily managing to defeat the 'Knockout Kid' and win the gauntlet for himself. Even worse, the NXT Heavyweight Champion made things interesting: if Kassius were to lose, he would have to leave NXT for good.
The opening video package for NXT aired, before we cut to the Full Sail University for another exciting edition of WWE NXT. Byron Saxton, Jason Albert and Tom Philips welcomed us to the show, hyping up a 'funeral' for the career of Kassius Ohno at the hands of Bo Dallas! Plus, Tyler Breeze meets Colin Cassady in a rematch from two weeks ago; The Ascension takes on Yoshi Tatsu and Xavier Woods; plus a lot more in this jam-packed hour!
(00:03)
In an expected follow-up from last week's main event, the BFFs' theme hit to kick off NXT tonight from Winter Park, Florida. Summer Rae alongside Sasha Banks made their way to the ring to boos from the NXT Universe, who were still upset last week over Banks and Rae's interference in the Paige and Emma NXT Women's Championship encounter. Summer led the way to the ring, as she took the microphone from ring announcer Eden. Summer said that she wanted to come out here and clear the air before anybody gets anymore wrong ideas about the BFFs: everybody has the wrong idea about the BFFs. Every NXT Superstar, every NXT Diva, every member of NXT's management has the wrong idea about the BFFs. Summer said that their interruption to the so-called "prized" Women's Championship match was justified, because it did not feature the best that NXT has produced: Summer Rae herself!
Rae continued, talking about how she has proven time and time again that she is the best Diva to walk in and out of Full Sail, and the fact that she has been thrown aside for the hideous 'Anti-Diva' Paige, and the terrible phenomenon that is Emma. The fans cheered for the name drops, but Sasha quickly shut them up, snatching the mic and ordering silence for Summer, almost screaming at them.
Summer continued where she left off, talking about how she deserves a shot at the NXT Women's Championship - and suddenly, the theme of Bayley hit. The ever-innocent Bayley wandered down to the ring, the NXT Universe acknowledging her cuteness with a chant in her honor. Bayley stood in the ring smiling at Summer and Sasha, as the BFFs questioned why she was here. Summer asked condescendingly, and Bayley answered, she said that she wanted to prove Summer that she was wrong - then dropping her with a front dropkick! Sasha tried to mix it up with Bayley just to get suplexed across the ring and to the floor: and with the BFFs retreating, it seemed like a match was just getting started! (00:07)
A video package aired, reviewing the press conference that took place last week in Las Vegas, Nevada; a handful of WWE Superstars and Hall of Famers on hand as the big unveiling of a surprise was made: the debut of the WWE Network! The WWE Network will arrive and launch on Monday, February 24, 2014 following Monday Night RAW.(00:08)
SUMMER RAE def. BAYLEY - This is not the first time that NXT Diva Bayley has mixed it up with a mainroster WWE Diva: it was four months ago when Bayley stepped toe to toe with the WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee here on NXT, unfortunately coming up on the losing end, but still gaining respect from the NXT Universe for her efforts. Tonight, she was immediately outnumbered as Sasha Banks was at ringside to help her fellow BFF out if need be. Summer Rae worked away on the abdomen of the fun-loving Bayley, stretching her out in an attempt to weaken the less experienced Diva. Rae however maybe got a little too confident at times, as Bayley was able to get a head start at finding courage to fight back. The NXT fans were behind Bayley, as she nailed Summer Rae with a hurricanrana at one point, and went for the Bayley-to-Belly suplex on Summer just for Sasha Banks to pull on the foot of Bayley, thus leading to Summer catching Bayley off guard and putting the courageous Bayley away with the Summer Crush at 4:36. *3/4Summer Rae's hand was raised in victory tonight, but the BFFs were feeling much more cruel as Sasha Banks entered the ring to further put the foots to poor Bayley! The Full Sail audience booed as Sasha held Bayley up and Summer talked trash in Bayley's face...when suddenly Charlotte ran down to the ring, the daughter of the 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair making her return from injury!
Charlotte stood in front of Bayley, protecting her former tag team partner and facing off with Summer and Sasha...before turning around and dropping Bayley with the Natural Selection! The NXT Universe couldn't believe their eyes as Charlotte smiled and raised the hands of Summer and Sasha Banks; the daughter of a great Hall of Famer turning on Bayley to join sides with the devil: the ways of the Flair family seemingly never changes!
(00:14) Prior to the Ascension being in action against the Super Friends in one moment, Devin Taylor caught up with the number one contenders Konnor and Viktor at the Gorilla position for a last minute interview with the Ascension. Konnor grunted about how they will be the next NXT Tag Team Champions; Viktor talking about how they see the love triangle with Adrian Neville, Corey Graves and Oliver Grey, and they find it sickening. The two continued, talking about how they will take the NXT gold regardless of whether Graves and Neville are on the same page or not - however, they will not escape a beating of a lifetime. Konnor concluded the interview, stating that tonight Xavier Woods and Yoshi Tatsu will be examples of what will come when the Ascension become the NXT Tag Team Champions.
(00:15)
THE ASCENSION def. THE SUPER FRIENDS - A preparation for the rematch between the Ascension and the NXT Tag Team Champions Adrian Neville and Corey Graves, Konnor and Viktor were prepared to make examples of their opponents in this one in the Super Friends. Xavier Woods and Yoshi Tatsu seemed quite confident going into this one, as despite the size of Konnor, Yoshi got in several kicks to try and keep a safe distance away from Konnor until the power play came into play and a big clothesline cut Yoshi down. The Ascension began to isolate the Japanese sensation, pounding away at him and using their size and mass authority to dictate Tatsu. Viktor dropped the ball however, and Yoshi managed to give Viktor an enzuigiri, allowing him to tag in Xavier. Woods ran in and tried to get the better of Konnor, including connecting with the Lost in the Woods - but Konnor reversed it into a spinebuster! The Ascension took out Yoshi and nailed Xavier with the Fall of Man for the victory at 3:28. **
The Ascension posed over the fallen body of Xavier Woods to boos, as Konnor and Viktor seemed quite intent on winning the NXT Tag Team Championships this time around when they do get to meet Adrian Neville and Corey Graves - who visibly have not been getting along in recent weeks at all.
(00:21)
The announce team took us back to last week on NXT where Sami Zayn intended to call out and address Antonio Cesaro - however, the 'Swiss Superman' had different ideas. Cesaro took it upon himself to explain his actions and instead call Zayn out to the ring; Zayn's old rival Cesaro, the two having many classic matches in the year 2013 came face to face one more time last week, in a heated confrontation as the underdog Sami Zayn begged Antonio Cesaro for one more match between the two: a chance for Zayn to prove himself as a true superstar. Cesaro however strangely shook his head and walked away. Tom Philips hyped next week's edition of NXT as featuring the rebuttal from Antonio Cesaro, who will discuss the meaning behind him walking away from Zayn last week on NXT.
(00:22)
After last week's heated confrontation between Sami Zayn and Antonio Cesaro ended with Cesaro randomly walking away from Zayn and the NXT Universe, cameras from WWE.com approached Zayn who seemed quite annoyed by the 'Swiss Superman's actions. Zayn commented that he won't let this slide. Sami talked about how this is his personal goal: he doesn't go anywhere until he gets his match with Cesaro. Sami said that he's lost to Cesaro before, but he can't do it again - and that he needs to know why Cesaro walked away, depriving him of his rematch. Sami seemed confused by Cesaro, stating that he will beat it out of Cesaro if he has to. A confused and weary Sami Zayn then walked away.
(00:24)
In the backstage corridor the General Manager of NXT was shown walking, as John Bradshaw Layfield made a note of saying hello to various WWE personnel - before encountering the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas. Dallas, wearing a black suit stared at JBL with a big grin on his face. Layfield smirked back at the NXT Champion he has disdain for, before reminding Bo that there's a huge announcement scheduled for tonight and it's important that Bo listen up. Dallas' grin continued, talking through his teeth telling Layfield that Bo's funeral for Kassius Ohno is something that JBL will want to pay attention to.
(00:25)
COLIN CASSADY def. TYLER BREEZE - After being humiliated by the loudmouths from New York two weeks ago on NXT, Tyler Breeze had big plans to get a win over on Colin Cassady tonight: his acne-filled face exposed from a high school yearbook, 'Prince Pretty' seemed extremely angry at 'Big Cass' tonight, so much that he jumped Cassady on the rampway before the match even began! Enzo Amore accompanied 'Big Cass' again tonight, but Amore was limited as he stayed sat at the top of the rampway on his mobility scooter. 'Prince Pretty' stomped away at Cassady and sent his taller opponent into the steel steps before awaiting him in the ring. Breeze became confident from that point, making his behavior seem all the stranger as 'Big Cass' got into the ring starting the match officially. Breeze continued to work away on Cassady with thunderous lefts and rights, repeatedly trying to cover just for Colin to kick out. The native of Queens, New York had Enzo pump up the Full Sail University crowd, as the 'Gorgeous One' had a cobra clutch locked in, visibly growing more and more frustrated about not being able to beat Cassady. Eventually Cassady fought back, overpowering Breeze and slamming him across the ring. Cass made a comeback as he clotheslined through Breeze once and followed up with the big boot out of nowhere! It was good for the win in a sudden finish to a surprising second encounter between Cassady and Breeze, the match lasting 5:19. **
The NXT Universe cheered as Colin Cassady's hand was raised in victory, 'Big Cass' celebrating as Tyler Breeze rolled out of the ring, throwing a tantrum at ringside. Another loss for Breeze, but another win for the Queens resident, Cassady heading up the rampway to celebrate with disabled friend Enzo Amore.
(00:32)
An advertisement aired, promoting this Sunday's pay-per-view extravaganza, the ever prestigious Royal Rumble! The first pay-per-view of the year 2014, and the beginning of the Road to WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble will feature 30 men compete for an opportunity to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX; plus, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be at stake when the 'Apex Predator' Randy Orton defends against John Cena; additionally, the 'Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar takes on the 'World's Largest Athlete' the Big Show! The Royal Rumble is live this Sunday on pay-per-view.(00:33)
After suffering defeat at the hands of Colin Cassady a second time in a row tonight, WWE.com's cameras caught up with 'Prince Pretty' himself, who was more distraught than ever about losing to 'Big Cass' again. Breeze was shown still throwing a tantrum backstage, as he shouted at the camera, talking about how he can't believe a mole rat looking uggo like Cassady could better him. Tyler said that he is a winner, he's a beautiful person and that nobody could ever prove him otherwise. Breeze was breaking down at the seams for the first time ever, as the narcissistic rapidly shook his head, vowing revenge. (00:34)
BARON CORBIN def. SAWYER FULTON - The time had arrived. After six weeks of anticipation for the debut of the 'Enigma' known to NXT fans as Baron Corbin, the man himself had finally arrived in the Full Sail University. A black leather jacket, this man walked through the darkness on his way to the ring, tattoos detailing his personality as motorcycle revving and hard rock riffs played in the background. The NXT Universe were enamored by this man, and he was finally here in NXT. As we got down to business, Sawyer Fulton looked on nervously at Baron, before the bell sounded and Fulton was practically eaten alive by the 'Enigma'. Baron Corbin scooped up a charging Fulton with a half-nelson, before forcing him forward dropping him flat on his face with a flatliner! The Full Sail crowd were amazed, as Corbin covered for a very decisive debut for the career of the 'Enigma' at 2:32! n/a
The fans in Winter Park, Florida cheered loudly as Baron Corbin knelt over the conquered body of Sawyer Fulton, Corbin's hand being raised in victory. Corbin stared around the Full Sail University before mysteriously leaving the ring and disappearing into the darkness, Corbin in and out - but is there more to be known of this 'Enigma' by the name of Baron Corbin? (00:37)
- NEXT WEEK: Graphics appeared to advertise next week's episode of NXT, as it's the first of two weeks of Pick Your Poison. The NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas has put Kassius Ohno up against the 'Bulgarian Brute' Alexander Rusev - the match assigned for next week on NXT.
- NEXT WEEK: After turning down Sami Zayn's request for a rematch, Antonio Cesaro will be back in the Full Sail University next week to reveal why he turned down Zayn.
With wreaths covering the yellow ring ropes, the time was now for the funeral of Kassius Ohno set up by NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas ahead of their rematch for the title. A portrait set up of the 'Knockout Kid', it set for an eerie scene as the theme of Bo Dallas played to bring out the host. Dallas walked out to the ring dressed in a black suit, Dallas with a seeming loo of respect - very uncharacteristic of the ever smiling Brooksville native. Bo entered the ring and held a microphone in hand, as the NXT Universe booed the champ. Dallas talked about how this night will be a night that Kassius will never forget - because unlike many great heroes that have passed away throughout life, hardly any of them will be able to say they have lived their funeral before passing through the golden gates of life's defeat.
Bo said that it was almost three months ago that Kassius challenged for the NXT Heavyweight Championship - and the poor guy gave it his all - he came so close but failed. And because of Ohno's sins, he has been granted a rematch: but he was not able to get away with it all - because when the two meet up one more time, Kassius' career will be done. Dallas talked about how fitting it will be for Ohno to fall in defeat for the final time, and hang up his boots by getting beaten by one of the best superstars in history, Bo Dallas.
Dallas continued, talking about great champions throughout history: Harley Race, Ric Flair, Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels. Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H. John Cena...Bo Dallas! Dallas said that he is the man on the mountain, and one day he will arrive in the WWE, and he will conquer there just like he did here: but not yet. Bo said that he has known Kassius for two years, and that while he is a hard worker with an average life, he will have to find a day job and leave NXT when he loses this match with Dallas. Why? Because he's just not got what it takes to be the NXT Heavyweight Champion of the World!
The NXT Universe booed, chanting for Kassius to interrupt this neurotic Bo Dallas. Dallas continued, addressing the portrait of Kassius, talking about how Ohno has always been about wanting to get the job done and being the best, but this time his smug attitude is going to cost him. Bo further talked about how he's going to give Ohno a fitting farewell, until the theme of the 'Knockout Kid' himself hit! Ohno made his way down to the ring, the number one contender and recipient of this 'funeral' looking very determined. Kassius told Bo that he appreciates this 'funeral' he's having for him, because it looks like a really classy sendoff for him, but that one thing confuses him: how confident Bo is that he will get the job done and beat him in their rematch.
Ohno told Bo that he doesn't think that his time is up - in fact it is far from up. Kassius said that Bo likes to twist the past, obviously. Because three months ago in their first match-up, it was Kassius who had Bo down, he had Bo KO'd, down, beaten, unconscious. But it was the referee down that cost him: not again. Ohno told Dallas that this time history won't repeat itself. He said Dallas has avoided defeat over and over again, but he wants Dallas to know one thing...that Kassius Ohno will be the one to knock Dallas from his almighty throne once and for all. The two tensely stood face to face with each other in silence, the fans getting hyped up over a physical encounter between the two, when instead the theme of NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield hit.
Confused, the two NXT Superstars turned to the entrance way where JBL appeared. He commented on how he likes how much bad blood there is between these two men, because he has a huge announcement and he wants both men to listen to what he has to say because it is very important: on February 24, 2014, the WWE Network launches after Monday Night RAW - well, on February 27, 2014 - the first NXT pay-per-view will take place on the WWE Network! The Full Sail crowd cheered, as JBL continued, announcing that their anticipated rematch will take place in the main event of it. The name of this pay-per-view? NXT ArRIVAL! JBL then told Bo that to ensure that he doesn't try to sly away as NXT Heavyweight Champion - their match will be a two out of three falls match! The NXT Universe cheered, as JBL left and Bo looked stunned! Kassius smirked at Bo and then wrapped up the funeral service by delivering KO'ing Bo! Ohno stood tall as WWE NXT went off the air.
(00:51)
- NEXT MONTH: Per words of NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield, NXT will land on the WWE Network as its new home, fronted by a two hour live special by the name NXT ArRIVAL on February 27.
- NEXT MONTH: In the main event of NXT ArRIVAL on the WWE Network, Bo Dallas will defend the NXT Heavyweight Championship against Kassius Ohno in a two out of three falls match, and if Ohno loses, he must leave NXT.

| WWE Royal Rumble: Sunday 26th January 2014 - Pittsburgh, PA [#RoyalRumble]
| - The returning 'Animal' Batista won the 30-man Royal Rumble match in 55:07, enabling him to go on to WrestleMania XXX and challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship currently held by Randy Orton. Batista last eliminated Roman Reigns of the Shield to win the bout. Other notable mentions: CM Punk lasted 50 minutes in the Rumble, starting out at #1 before being eliminated by Kane. Along with Batista and Reigns, Sheamus and Rey Mysterio ended up in the Final Four. There was dissension within the Shield throughout the match, as Dean Ambrose repeatedly tried to eliminate Seth Rollins and Reigns until Reigns ultimately eliminated them both. Cody Rhodes eliminated his own brother Goldust during the match. NXT's Alexander Rusev entered at #6 and managed to eliminate Jimmy Uso and Damien Sandow before being tossed out by Kofi Kingston, CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Alongside Batista and Rusev surprise entrants included Kevin Nash, NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield and El Torito. NXT alumnus included in this year's Royal Rumble match were Seth Rollins, Damien Sandow, Roman Reigns, Fandango, Antonio Cesaro, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Big E Langston. | - 'The Apex Predator' Randy Orton was able to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from John Cena in a rematch from WWE TLC 2013, in 20:54. In yet another encounter between the two longtime veterans, John Cena attempted to pull out the stops in this bout with the Attitude Adjustment and the STF; whereas Orton used the RKO several times. Both men were unsuccessful in their efforts, however in the end Cena lost only because of the Wyatt Family's interference. The distraction made by the mind games of Bray Wyatt caused Cena to find himself set up for an RKO, which gave Orton the title retention. | - Brock Lesnar, accompanied by Paul Heyman absolutely annihilated the Big Show in 2:02. With the 'World's Largest Athlete' injured going into this match, the 'Next Big Thing' took all of his rage out on the Big Show, battering him with a steel chair relentlessly, even attacking Show before the bell had even sounded. Lesnar put Show away with the F-5 for a decisive three count to end the massacre - until Lesnar decided to beat down on Show even more with the chair. | - The Royal Rumble broadcast began with Bray Wyatt managing to defeat Daniel Bryan in 21:30. The 'Eater of the Worlds' savagely attacked Bryan throughout this match, doing whatever it took for Wyatt to put Bryan away. Bryan however was valiant as ever and tried to fight back as much as he could. Wyatt targeted the head of Bryan and went after it, just for Bryan to fire back later on in the match. Bryan and Bray exchanged near falls, before Wyatt suddenly caught Bryan off of a suicide dive and delivered a sickening Sister Abigail into the barricade, rolling him back inside the ring for a final three count. Oddly, the Wyatt Family members, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper were nowhere to be seen here. | - Before the Royal Rumble went on the air, the Royal Rumble Kickoff show played host to a title change, as multi-time champions and veterans the New Age Outlaws defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust to win the WWE Tag Team Championships for a fifth time. In a competitive tag team contest, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg worked together to divide the Rhodes boys, the match ending when Billy Gunn nailed a Fame-Asser on Cody in 6:28. | WWE ROYAL RUMBLE 2014 RESULTS: Batista def. NXT News of the Week (January 22 - 29, 2014)
- For a second year in a row an NXT Superstar has made their WWE debut in the Royal Rumble match. Last year it was now reigning NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas, while this year it would be Alexander Rusev. It seems like Rusev's appearance was a one-off however, as he is regarded backstage as a project to hopefully wind up debuting on the WWE roster later on in the year. (January 27, 2014)
- As announced last week on WWE NXT, the first live special edition of WWE NXT will air on February 27, 2014. It is scheduled to be the first live streamed "big event" on the WWE Network, and a test for the Network for future live streaming events (the next 'big event' to air after NXT ArRIVAL will be WrestleMania XXX on April 6). According to sources, the idea for NXT ArRIVAL has been planned since late last year - and clearly the launch of the WWE Network helped speed up the process. The show has already sold out - scheduled to air in the Full Sail University still. However compared to standard NXT episodes, this will be a two hour broadcast. It will also be the start of NXT's timeslot change from Wednesdays to Thursdays, and the first official NXT episode on the Network after previously airing on WWE.com. (January 23, 2014)
- WWE unexpected thinned the herd today, terminating the contracts of various WWE Superstars. Along this list included current NXT talents Raquel Diaz, Yoshi Tatsu and Mason Ryan. Yoshi's final televised appearance was at last week's NXT where he and Xavier Woods lost to the Ascension. Meanwhile, Mason Ryan last appeared on the December 11 episode of NXT, where he defeated Scott Dawson (Dawson was injured during this bout). Diaz meanwhile hasn't appeared on NXT since the summer of 2012 and was previously released in October 2012 - she was rehired last September but did not re-debut on television. We will have more on these departures and why they took place when that information becomes available to us. (January 28, 2014)
- In potentially big news for the future of the WWE, Japanese superstar KENTA was in attendance at the WWE Performance Center today. It was actually William Regal who vouched for a tryout for KENTA. The Japanese star currently competes in Pro Wrestling NOAH, but may be offered a WWE contract depending on how officials feel his tryout went today. We'll have more news on this story in the coming weeks. (January 27, 2014)
- In an injury update, Enzo Amore has officially started training again for a comeback down at the Performance Center. Amore was previously sidelined with a broken leg after a freak accident when training in November. (January 25, 2014)
- NXT Diva Emma continues to appear at WWE RAW and SmackDown tapings, as she tweeted about last night (@emmawwe): "I had an #EMMAzing time at #WWECleveland tonight! I'm loving finding new #EMMAcrats everywhere I go!! #EMMAlution #WWE #EMMAtaining". (January 28, 2014)
- WWE COO and head of NXT, Triple H recently spoke to ForwardFlorida.com about the WWE Performance Center: "We have a beautiful place. We have teams of people helping them figure out not only how to perform in the ring, but how to manipulate the crowd and how to have the character all of the things that it take to succeed in this business." Man, I hate Summer Rae. Seeing her open the show sucks! Kidding, of course. Not about the hating her part. Anyway, a decent opener to NXT this week with the BFFs being interrupted by Bayley. Boo Sasha Banks, pulling the leg of Bayley like a bitch, allowing Summer to get the victory. HEY! CHARLOTTE! WOOOOOOOOOOOO! Totally not about her father, but she's gonna rip him off. Man, I hate that about her. Anyway, good storyline progression. The Ascension is going to make The Super Friends their bitches. And, of course, they do with the Fall of Man. I could see them winning the tag team titles down the line. Bo-lieve that the funeral will be something to watch, JBL. BIG CASS! BADA BOOM, REALEST GUY IN THE ROOM BEATING TYLER BREEZE! TAKE THAT YOU OVERRATED SCUM. Ah, here comes th debut of Baron Corbin. Easy win for him, obviously, with the squash over Sawyer Fulton. Who? Exactly. Finally, a good promo for the 'funeral of Kassius Ohno' leading to the big announcement JBL promised of NXT ArRival with a big main event in a two out of three falls match between Dallas and Ohno. That'll be a good one. I wonder if Kassius will be the one to take the belt away from him? I'd assume likely so. A good edition of NXT.

| WWE NXT: Wednesday 29th January 2014 - Winter Park, FL - Full Sail University - Aired on WWE.com (#206) [#WWENXT] | COLD OPEN - The opening graphic aired, introducing this week's edition of NXT featuring WWE Superstars of the past and present. Following this we went to the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas, who brought us up to speed on recent events with Kassius Ohno. He smiled obnoxiously, talking about how three months ago, he defeated Kassius Ohno to rightfully retain his NXT Heavyweight Championship - but that the 'Knockout Kid' kept coming back for more of him. Bo then took us to three weeks ago on NXT where Kassius failed to successfully run Bo's gauntlet, leading to him making Kassius pay dearly for wanting a rematch with him so badly: so he's decided to make Ohno's career in the WWE at stake. Bo then confirmed that at NXT ArRIVAL, the first WWE Network live special on February 27 that the two will meet in a two out of three falls match. Dallas continued, declaring that this would be Kassius Ohno's final night in NXT, in the WWE, and probably in wrestling - if he even makes it there! Dallas concluded that tonight is Pick Your Poison - and that Kassius' career will be at stake because his opponent is Alexander Rusev. | INTRODUCTION - The opening video package for WWE NXT aired before cutting to the Full Sail University where C.J. Parker was already making his way to the ring for singles action to kick off tonight's hour. Tom Philips, Alex Riley and a newly renamed Tensai - going by the name 'Jason Albert' welcomed us to the show, hyping up Antonio Cesaro being in action as well as the previously already announced match between Kassius Ohno and Alexander Rusev in Pick Your Poison. | 'CLEANSING' OR 'BLEACHING' THE WWE ENVIRONMENT? - C.J. Parker got into the ring with his picket sign reading "Love: Not War". Parker brushed back his dreadlocks as he took a microphone and began to talk about how he's here to spread the word across the nation, across the NXT Universe about how the world should be a greener, purer place for all of mankind's safety. Parker continued, talking about how the world has become a horrendous place - but he has seen the light, and he is now enlightened against the unwashed mass of planet Earth's population. Parker urged the Full Sail University to follow him as he spreads the good word, urging that they raise their hand in salute to Planet Parker! But when Parker did that and nobody else did, the theme of Enzo Amore hit, and out came Colin Cassady with mobility scooter bound Enzo Amore! 'Big Cass' stood by him, as both Queens natives had microphones in their hands. Enzo talked about how Parker was talking about all of this garb, but that he wanted to see a raise of hands to see who actually gave a damn about a word C.J. was saying! The NXT Universe saluted that to anger Parker, as Cass then spoke up about how C.J. is trying to cleanse the environment so he says - but by the looks of his dreads, C.J.'s a bleacher, not a dreadlocks - and that makes him S-A-W-F-T, SAWFT! Parker was outraged as 'Big Cass' came to the ring to compete against Parker. | COLIN CASSADY def. C.J. PARKER - NXT's Moon Child wanted to try and spread the word about cleansing the universe, but he was unsuccessful thanks to Colin Cassady's interruption, and that may have lit a fire under C.J. Parker to try and defeat the big man in singles action, as Enzo Amore watched on from his mobility scooter at the top of the rampway. Parker started off with numerous strikes towards 'Big Cass', but Cass fired back with some lefts and rights of his own - Cassady blocking Parker's offense and a dropkick attempt before getting a stiff forearm knocking C.J. down. Cassady had the NXT Universe behind him, as this man has developed quite the following in recent months, going as far as challenging for the NXT Heavyweight Championship last month. Cass made short work of C.J. Parker, delivering a big boot to the temple of Parker giving him the win at 3:37. (**)
Colin Cassady celebrated his win to applause from the NXT Universe, but as Enzo Amore congratulated Big Cass from the rampway, Tyler Breeze came from behind - 'Prince Pretty' still humiliated from losing to Cassady two weeks in a row - and Breeze dragged the one-legged Enzo Amore off of the mobility scooter! Cassady watched on in anger as Breeze held Amore up and smirked at 'Big Cass', Breeze then dropping Enzo with the Beauty Shock on the rampway! Amore clutched his broken leg as Cass ran up the rampway to his best buddy's aid, Breeze however bailing, his work done in getting revenge against Enzo and 'Big Cass'! | A HELPING HAND - In a pre-taped segment from earlier today in the empty NXT dressing room, Adrian Neville and Corey Graves, NXT Tag Team Champions and all were sat opposite each other facing off when they were joined by Oliver Grey. Grey told the two that he felt the need to assemble this meeting to try and make their team all the more efficient. Graves talked about Graves having problems with the way that Neville conducted himself, feeling that he was "stealing the spotlight" from Graves - and that the 'Man That Gravity Forgot' had problems with the 'Savior of Misbehavior's conduct in anger management. Neville then cut Grey off, saying that he appreciated Oliver trying to make their tag team more secure and in control - however it would be difficult to make this work out. Neville told Graves that he has problems with his jealousy, his attitude, and more importantly his attitude towards himself and Oliver Grey. Corey smirked as he retorted, talking about how Neville is always out to steal the show and that's fine - but he's getting in his way. Graves said that Neville wants to talk about his attitude - but what about Neville taking all of these unnecessary risks week in and week out...it could have lost him the title on so many occasions. Graves said that he doesn't know why he saved him six months ago, when Graves substituted Oliver Grey to help Neville become NXT Tag Team Champions - and that he does regret it...on one hand. But on the other, he finally has NXT gold: unfortunately Neville is taking all of the credit. Adrian responded, saying that he feels frustrated in his alliance with Graves' comments, because he sees Graves in the corner in tag team matches, and Neville is doing all of the work: but when he goes to tag Corey when he's needed the most, he's not there. He's stalling, standing around not wanting to be tagged - then when Neville has the match well and truly won, he takes the credit, getting in the ring and stealing the victory. Graves got angry, replying that he wanted his spotlight back. Graves said that their work as a team does not matter to him, and that neither do wins or losses: but what does matter? The NXT Tag Team Championship. Graves said that Neville can be there or he can not be: and Graves wouldn't care at all. | BIG CASS IS VEXED - In the backstage area we see Colin Cassady pacing up and down in a corridor as 'Big Cass' frantically awaited an update on the condition of his best friend Enzo Amore - who was taken out by Tyler Breeze earlier on despite Enzo having a broken leg. Cass was then confronted by a doctor, who told Colin that Enzo is totally fine, and that despite being shaken up by 'Prince Pretty' earlier tonight - no damage was made to the broken leg of Enzo that he is rehabbing. 'Big Cass' thanked the doctor for his time, before shaking his head and stating that he was going to knock Tyler's block off for this one! | CHARLOTTE def. NAOMI - Last week a bombshell was dropped when the daughter of the 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair, Charlotte - who had been on the sidelines with an injury for several months - made her return to seemingly save a beaten Bayley from the BFFs Summer Rae and Sasha Banks...but she ended up turning on her former friend to side with the BFFs instead. Tonight, Charlotte was accompanied by her new found friends in Summer and Sasha, as Charlotte had developed some sort of new arrogance to her stride. The blonde bombshell tonight however was up against a challenge made by WWE Diva Naomi, who started off this match with several clotheslines followed up by a hurricanrana - Naomi using her long legs against the NXT Diva. Naomi continued, but she was distracted by Summer Rae at ringside, who continued to taunt her fellow main roster adversary from outside of the ring. This allowed Charlotte to go after Naomi, as she connected with a neckbreaker for the 'Funkadactyl'. The NXT Universe were totally against Charlotte at this point, as she taunted Naomi and slapped her around, including locked in a headscissors and repeatedly slamming Naomi's face into the canvas hard with several push-up facebusters! Charlotte was in control, but soon enough Naomi fought back, the 'Funkadactyl' showing fight as she connected with a tilt-a-whirl slam on Charlotte, then nailing Summer Rae with the Butt Bump, sending her off the apron! Naomi was taken aback by this however, as Charlotte took the time to get in position and connect with the Natural Selection to get the victory against a WWE Diva in 5:03! (**)
The NXT Universe booed as Charlotte's hand was raised in victory, Charlotte being joined by her fellow BFF members in the ring. Summer Rae and Sasha Banks raised her hand, now allowing her to join their 'fraternity' with hugs all around. But as this happened, the theme of the NXT Women's Champion Paige hit, and out came the 'Anti-Diva' - alongside Emma! The two Divas who were attacked during their great title bout two weeks ago marched down to the ring for a confrontation - but the BFFs wisely bailed, Summer Rae mocking the two NXT Divas for their efforts to get their hands on them! | THE WWE NETWORK IS COMING! - A video package aired promoting the official launch date of the WWE Network. Available on personal computers, the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Smart Phones and Smart TVs; the Network will be a huge happening with 3000 3000 hours worth of video footage from their extensive library - original content such as WWE's Legends House, WWE Main Event and WWE NXT; documentaries such as the Monday Night War, Countdown and WrestleMania Rewind - and it's all available when the WWE Network launches in 33 days! The WWE Network will launch on Monday, February 24 immediately following Monday Night RAW.
| CATCHING UP WITH PAIGE AND EMMA - Following the conflict with the BFFs, Devin Taylor caught up with the 'Anti-Diva' and the 'Bombshell' backstage, Devin asking Paige and Emma about how they feel after their NXT Women's Championship match two weeks ago was interrupted by Summer Rae and Sasha Banks. Paige talked about how it was disappointing because they were having one heck of a match - it was all about sportsmanship and friendship, all coming together with pride on the line - putting it all at stake for the NXT Women's Championship, and the BFFs ruined that. Emma agreed, talking about how she came so close to capturing the NXT Women's Championship, just to have it taken away by the BFFs. Paige asked Emma if she really believed she came so close - to which Emma awkwardly said yes. The two shared some banter about who came out looking better, before Paige broke the tensity by laughing. Paige told Emma that she was just kidding, punching her on the shoulder. Emma repeated the favor before Paige awkwardly walked away. Tensions seemed to be brewing, seemingly all thanks to the BFFs' mind games. | ANTONIO CESARO def. DANNY BURCH - The 'Swiss Superman' was in action tonight on NXT, two weeks following his tense confrontation with Sami Zayn. The Real American walked down to the ring with his heart on his sleeve, seemingly as though nothing between the two had ever happened. And in standard Cesaro fashion, his opponent Danny Burch was ready to go to town with the WWE Superstar - unfortunately, Cesaro bettered him at every turn, outwrestling him in the opening lockup. Cesaro made quick work of Danny Burch despite Burch's best efforts, and Cesaro would wrap things up with Danny on the receiving end of the big Uppercut followed up by the Neutralizer at 2:12. (n/a)
The NXT Universe booed the WWE Superstar, as the 'Swiss Superman' was victorious in impressive fashion tonight on NXT. Cesaro fist pumped to the Full Sail crowd, before taking a microphone, the Real American now choosing to address the situation. | THE SITUATION - The NXT Universe continued to boo as Antonio Cesaro began to talk about how a lot of fans are disappointed that he walked away in the middle of a challenge laid out by Sami Zayn two weeks ago - but that the 'Swiss Superman' wanted to clear the air and address why he did that. The WWE Superstar talked about how he has spent his life travelling the world, wrestling in every country across the globe, and that he has fought guys like Sami Zayn so many times - and win, lose or draw, Cesaro has given his absolute all. Cesaro continued, telling the NXT Universe that Sami Zayn too, has wrestled across the globe, and he has given his all...however he is not at the same level as him. The crowd booed this, as Cesaro talked about how Sami has lost every encounter the two men have had except from that one time, where Zayn was a fresh face. However Zayn now, he is passionate, he is emotional, and he is clawing and scratching for a shot at the big time: unfortunately, the thing with Zayn is that he does not learn, and he never learns! Cesaro talked about how Sami Zayn will always be a challenger, and nothing more than that. And the fact that Zayn will never learn means that when he wants another match with him, much like he was implying...Cesaro had to shoot it down. Which is why he walked away - he's proven Zayn that Zayn can't get the job done, and he doesn't have to prove himself again. The NXT Universe booed, as Cesaro thanked them for their time before leaving. Cesaro, as ever a brash man. | THE NXT GENERATION - An advertisement aired promoting the upcoming live special for NXT. Entitled NXT ArRIVAL, it will be the first two hour edition of NXT and will be available live on the WWE Network for the first time ever on February 27. Headlined by the arrogant NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas defending the gold against Kassius Ohno with Ohno's career on the line - it's two out of three falls, and it takes place in 29 days. Join the NXT Generation! | NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS ADRIAN NEVILLE & COREY GRAVES def. HUNICO & CAMACHO - With the intervention of the NXT Tag Team Champions still going on, the team of Adrian Neville and Corey Graves had to put this coming to peace meeting to the test as they took on WWE Superstars Hunico and Camacho in non-title action. The announce team confirmed going into this match that Neville and Graves were to defend the NXT Tag Team Championships at NXT ArRIVAL next month against the Ascension - if they could even last that long as a team. Initially, nothing had changed seemingly as Adrian Neville started off like a house on fire, running through Hunico and outsmarting him at every corner - the 'Man That Gravity Forgot' showing everyone what makes him such a great NXT superstar. Neville then actually made the tag to the 'Savior of Misbehavior', who decided to go after the leg of Hunico until the powerhouse Camacho came in and started clubbing on Graves underhandedly. The two Mexicans worked over Graves as Hunico would apply a bow and arrow submission; the NXT Universe rooting Graves to make the tag to Neville, but instead Graves managed to fight out of it and go after the leg of Hunico, quickly locking in the 13th Step and forcing Hunico into submission to Neville's disdain at 5:24. (**)
The NXT Universe gave Corey Graves a mixed reaction for getting the victory without tagging in Adrian Neville to come to his aid, the 'Savior of Misbehavior' once again victorious in taking the spotlight off of the 'Man That Gravity Forgot'. Adrian came into the ring to confront Graves about this, as the two NXT Tag Team Champions faced off in the ring to cheers from the Full Sail crowd in the background - when the theme of the Ascension hit, and out came Konnor and Viktor - both challengers looking for a fight with Neville and Graves! The Ascension surrounded the ring and got inside, and just like that Neville and Graves traded blows with the two members of the Ascension - Neville sent down to the canvas and Graves in position for the Fall of Man: but Neville came in and dropkicked the charging Konnor down! Graves got up and discus clotheslined Viktor - the Ascension bailing! Graves and Neville stared them down...could this be Neville and Graves showing the teamwork that Oliver Grey was trying to show them in the intervention earlier today? Push comes to shove when the titles are on the line at NXT ArRIVAL. | THE CONCLUSION OF THE INTERVENTION - Going back to earlier tonight following their demonstration of the results of the intervention just taken place, Corey Graves was telling Adrian Neville that he doesn't like him and he doesn't respect him - talking about how Neville is flashy and feels that because he can do a triple flip he can be the World Champion. Neville retorted, stating that Graves feels like he's the bigger star and he's larger than life: which doesn't make for a great tag team. Neville said that what made him and Oliver Grey a team is their ambition - their British Ambition brought them together. But when he looks at Graves, he appears ambitious for one thing - to be better than everyone he's in the ring with - even his tag team partner. Graves was getting mad, as he got to his feet as did Neville, the two tensely facing off, as Oliver Grey stood between them. Graves told the two severed champions that what it comes down to is who the best team in the world is: and on February 27, the two are going to be faced with more than one thing: they will either perish and crash and burn as the titles change hands and Graves and Neville fail to get to the next level, ripped to pieces by the Ascension because of their bad partnership; they can lose the titles and go their own separate ways and show weakness in being a tag team ever; or they can come together, form a truce and team up and combat the Ascension like the aspiring WWE Superstars they truly are. The two continued to stare each other down; eyes fixated on one another...Graves offering a handshake. Graves offered the truce, to which Neville accepted the handshake, then telling Graves sternly that if he stabs him in the back, he will make Graves regret ever becoming a part of his career. Graves nodded before walking away. | CATCHING UP WITH KASSIUS OHNO - At the Gorilla Position, Devin Taylor caught up with the number one contender Kassius Ohno just moments prior to the 'Knockout Kid's Pick Your Poison match against the dominant Alexander Rusev. Devin asked about his feelings towards tonight's main event challenge with the 'Bulgarian Brute'. Kassius told Devin that he's feeling pretty hyped, because he has seen Alexander Rusev and when he looks at him he sees a blood-thirsty beast that is hell bent on destruction and taking out anyone in his path: but tonight, Kassius gets to balance things out, because he will not let Rusev get the better of him: Ohno said that he is a beast in the ring and he will knock the 'Brute' out! Ohno then said that he is not going to let this be one of his final matches on NXT either, because he has big plans for Bo Dallas' Pick Your Poison match next week: and come NXT ArRIVAL, the NXT Heavyweight Championship is coming to the 'Knockout Kid'! | PICK YOUR POISON [#PickYourPoison]KASSIUS OHNO vs ALEXANDER RUSEV The first Pick Your Poison match to take place was set up by NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas, who decided to try and make Kassius Ohno's road to NXT ArRIVAL as difficult as possible squaring him off against the tough Bulgarian. With the 'Knockout Kid's career on the line as well, it seemed as though this could be one of Ohno's last matches on NXT all at the same time. His opponent, the 300+ pound Bulgarian with a solid win-loss record: Alexander Rusev. Coming out of debuting in the 2014 Royal Rumble match last Sunday night, he was bound to be a wrecking ball in this one - but to make things more difficult for Kassius, Rusev also enlisted the help of his manager Sylvester Lefort to the ring. Regardless, Ohno seemed confident going into this match, as Rusev looked meaner than ever. Ohno decided at that point to jump the gun from a lock-up, immediately striking Rusev with several hard-hitting forearms before being shoved away by Kassius and being given several strikes of his own by the larger Rusev. Lefort watched on as the 'Knockout Kid' continued to try and fight Rusev, attempting to get behind him and connect with a German suplex but Rusev deadweighted Kassius before delivering a big mule kick to the solar plexus of Ohno! The Muay-Thai background of Rusev was showing, as Ohno was visibly shaken from the rib-splintering kick; Rusev soon continuing with a short-arm clothesline before continuing to weaken the ribs of the number one contender to the NXT Heavyweight Championship. Rusev choked Ohno in the ropes at one point, before being warned by referee Shawn Bennett for his actions - which ironically led to manager Sylvester Lefort getting to clobber Kassius some more! The referee did not see it, and Rusev went back to work away at on his opponent. Alexander Rusev was definitely in control, as he sent Kassius into the corner and came charging at him with a big hip block, winding Ohno some more: for sure to lead up to Rusev's Accolade submission. The 'Super Athlete' stood dominant as he toyed with Ohno some more, but Kassius managed to fire back; Ohno with four or five clubbing elbows before a big boot sent Rusev into the corner - Ohno immediately following up and continuing to nail Rusev with forearm after forearm! Rusev pushed Ohno off, as Ohno bounced off the ropes on the other side of the ring; ducking a clothesline attempt by Rusev - but on the rebound the Bulgarian impressively caught Kassius on the jaw with a spinning wheel kick! Rusev covered, but Kassius managed to kick out at two. Rusev was getting worked up now, as the 'Bulgarian Brawler' continued to pound away on Kassius, primarily focusing on the ribs of Ohno in particular. The larger man picked Ohno up and attempted the spinning side slam, connecting with it - before Alexander Rusev had decided it was time to end things...Rusev propping a stunned Kassius Ohno up to his feet; aiming for the jumping superkick, but Ohno dodged it, and he stunned Rusev with a big bionic elbow to the cranium! Kassius went back to the forearms, as Rusev tried to block them out just for Ohno to get behind Rusev and deadlift him into a German suplex! Rusev was down for the first time in this match and Lefort did not know what to make of it! Ohno clutched his ribs in pain as Rusev attempted to get back up but Kassius kicked him in the side of the head, and delivered the KO to Rusev...but the Bulgarian didn't go down! Rusev stood dazed, as Ohno then connected with a second one, this time sending Rusev through the ropes to the floor making the NXT Universe applaud Ohno for his efforts! Rusev was down on the outside but Ohno wanted him inside for a pinfall victory, but that's when Sylvester Lefort jumped Kassius from behind causing a disqualification at 9:35! WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: KASSIUS OHNO (***)
The French agent Sylvester Lefort pounded away on the back of Kassius Ohno's head, sending him into the ring steps after Ohno had managed to render Alexander Rusev unconscious; the 'Knockout Kid' was fatigued from the beating to his ribs at the hands of Rusev and Lefort, but when Lefort charged at Ohno he responded and Lefort ran right into the discus elbow of KO! Ohno's back turned, this allowed the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas to come running down to the ringside area, Bo sending Ohno face-first into the steel steps! Dallas stomped away at Kassius before rolling him into the ring, getting ready to finish Kassius with the Bo-Dazzler, but Kassius reversed it and responded by going for the KO on Bo, but the champ bailed! Dallas crawled scarcely up the rampway as Ohno took a microphone. The 'Knockout Kid' then told Bo that he was successful in his Pick Your Poison challenge; but he thins that the NXT Heavyweight Champion might have some real issues next week, because Bo Dallas will be taking on one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, Adrian Neville! The Full Sail Universe cheered Adrian on as NXT went off the air! | | WWE NXT: 01/29/2014 RESULTS Kassius Ohno def. Ah, God, nobody likes CJ Parker. What a big piece of doggy doodoo. Seriously. Spread some butter across yo butthole, especially because BIG CASS AND ENZO AMORE ARE HERE! S-A-W-F-T! SAWFT SAWFT SAWFT SAWFT! SCREW YOUR CJ PARKER! DAMN RIGHT, BIG CASS WITH THE WIN! Aw, man, eff you Tyler Breeze for attacking Enzo Amore. Piece of junk. Good way to get him going though by attacking the best manager in WWE history. Well, maybe that is going too far but y'know. Snap, things are getting hardcore intense between Corey Graves and Adrian Neville. Somebody tell Oliver Gray to fack off already, eh? He ain't gonna fix nothing. Praise the lord baby Jesus that Enzo is okay. Good win for Charlotte over Naomi, two of the actually talented divas in the WWE today. Paige has arrived, with Emma. I don't want Emma to win the belt from Paige anyway as I'd hope Charlotte is the one to walk away with the belt down the line. Tensions between Emma and Paige, but, like I said. I'd like for Charlotte to take the title away one day. NOBODY ELSE, DAMN IT! Cesaro! AY! Perfect NXT guy, ain't he? Good win for him before running down Sami Zayn not being worthy of enough to face him again. I expect one final match between him and Zayn at Arrival with Zayn finally getting the big win. Neville and Graves getting the win was fine for them, like how Graves said 'screw this, I'll do it myself'. The Ascension! WILL RISE! I see them winning the tag title belts at Arrival. Don't worry, Adrian, Graves will definitely stab you in the back one day. Finally, the Pick Your Poison match in the main event with Kassius Ohno surving via disqualification. ALL HELL HAS BROKEN LOOSE IN FULL SAIL UNIVERSITY, DAMN IT! Bo Dallas versus Adrian Neville next week will certainly be a good one. A good NXT episode. I dunno why, but it just seems like the shows are so much longer than an hour to me. Maybe I'm just dumb.

| NXT PROFILE - Bo Dallas 235lbs - 6'1 - Brooksville, Florida Finisher - The Bo-Dazzler x1 NXT Heavyweight Champion x3 FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion x2 FCW Florida Tag Team Champion
A third-generation superstar, Bo Dallas - despite the beliefs of many NXT fans who have been witness to the obnoxious, cheap style of the current NXT Heavyweight Champion, is the son of Mike Rotunda (more known by WWE fans as Irwin R. Schyster) and grandson of Blackjack Mulligan. Born on May 25, 1990, the Brooksville native already had big shoes to fill within his family. Attending high school at Hernando High, Bo Dallas has a background in amateur wrestling - in his final two years at high school he qualified for the state of Florida's wrestling championship. Here he also played football specializing in the role of a linebacker - but after graduating he decided to take up wrestling instead.
Bo Dallas signed a contract with WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling in 2008 with thanks to his family tree. Here, Dallas made his professional debut on December 9, 2008. Already a fan favourite, Dallas went on to quickly become one of the faces of the promotion - becoming FCW Florida Tag Team Champions on two occasions alongside his brother Duke. Then in 2011, the Brooksville fan favourite would shock the world when he managed to defeat the massive FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion Mason Ryan to become the man on the mountain - Dallas soon went on to win the title two more times before the promotion closed in 2012.
FCW's successor would be NXT - the new developmental territory opening in the summer of 2012, Bo Dallas continued to be one of the favourites of the company in the eyes of the fans. Then, Dallas would make his WWE debut by making a surprise appearance in the 2013 Royal Rumble, Dallas managing to eliminate then-WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, shocking everyone. However despite Bo's best efforts, he proved to be a one-trick pony when he was given an opportunity to challenge for the main roster championship, as Barrett retained.
Meanwhile back on NXT, Bo's attitude changed. His success on the main roster started to irritate fellow superstars in the locker room, and the fans were alienated by his in-your-face verbiage. Incensed, Dallas turned his back on recently made ally Adrian Neville when he eliminated him last in a battle royal to become the number one contender to the NXT Heavyweight Championship. From here, Bo would show his true colors, namely when on May 23, 2013 he cheated to win the NXT title from Big E Langston. Dallas continued to alienate the fans, showing disingenuous acts to the fans and his opponents. The reigning NXT Heavyweight Champion, Dallas will do whatever it takes to stay the champion - with wins over half of the NXT roster thanks to his sly means of obtaining victory. |
