I actually think Will Smith should tackle the Joker but just my opinion....
I could've enjoyed Idris Elba as Batman also - but I'll give Affleck a try before judging

I want someone that looks like they could hang with Batman; imagine if Leto was to be him and fight off with Affleck's Batman, he'd get crushed in seconds. I dont know, just have never seen the big thing about Leto tbh

WB have a big enough hill to climb without racially recasting two of their biggest characters for the sake of it. I don't believe for one second the Joker will appear in a Suicide Squad movie. I don't hate the casting or anything but no way he appears in this IMO. |

I don't want to see it in Suicide Squad, but Leto would be on a very short list of guys I think would be awesome as Joker. Affleck as Batman vs Leto as Joker is something I'd pay to see out of sure curiosity.

Dunno about Leto, haven't seen him in anything but I'm down for a new Joker. I'd like to see a classic madman Joker. Anything different, apart from Will Smith that sounds awful. Elba can do anything, if Marvel do let him go I hope DC snap him up and give him a big role. This has got me thinking, I would have liked to have seen a solo Joker film. I dunno what it would include but I'm sure it would draw better than Suicide Squad on name value. |

I can understand if it's seen as a hill to climb, but I'm honestly quite surprised that Will Smith was never asked to play Batman - I just personally don't see an issue in changing the race of these characters & was thinking the acting would be darn impressive if you wouldn't want it for whatever reason, that's fine though I am not a mega fan, but since he's being talked about for that movie...I was thinking that I'd like to see Smith go for the over the top, crazy villain as an interesting change of pace - but understand if you think that's not a good idea |

I dislike changing the race of major characters man I think its unnecessary tampering. If Smith was to play the Joker he would be madeup chalk white anyway.....
I want to see a proper comic Joker this time....skin dyed pale as pale could be. No F*ckin face paint this time please....I actually like Leto as a choice too.

Their material vs Bats was awesome. I love in Mask Of The Phantasm when Pre Joker Goon flicks his cigarette at Waynes car and sneers at him.....such greatness from Dini & Timm. God....I think I'm gonna have to go read Knightfall and watch MOTP AGAIN now. |

I hate the idea of Joker in the Suicide Squad. It'll only work if he turns on them or is just the bad guy from the start. Just throwing big name criminals on the team completely misses the point of it. It's about criminals that can be reasonably controlled which the Joker is certainly not.

Fair point.......would Waller ever choose Joker for the Suicide Squad? Now maybe she has already and I'm just not aware of it so correct me if I'm wrong here. Also I don't see him as having the type of Suicide Squad skillset. |
