I'm only vaguely familiar with the Suicide Squad, but what if the movie revolved around Luthor having Waller hire a team to go after the Joker (whether related or not to Batman vs. Superman) for some reason?

I hate the idea of Joker in the Suicide Squad. It'll only work if he turns on them or is just the bad guy from the start. Just throwing big name criminals on the team completely misses the point of it. It's about criminals that can be reasonably controlled which the Joker is certainly not. Fair point.......would Waller ever choose Joker for the Suicide Squad? Now maybe she has already and I'm just not aware of it so correct me if I'm wrong here. Also I don't see him as having the type of Suicide Squad skillset. Funny that you mention Waller. In one of the new Suicide Squad comics Waller and some other guy are both heading the team. I really want all this new DC movie stuff to succeed....but I really get the feeling they are just whipping every idea at a wall hoping it sticks. Now if Joker were to get free at the end of the movie and it brought us to the next solo Bats movie? I may be more accepting. |

Joker definitely doesn't fit that. But neither did Harley Quinn n' she worked out well. |

I honestly think he's too far removed from stardom. Not that it can't happen, obviously the RDJ example is extremely strong, but he was hot for like 10 mins and along came King Kong to crush his career. At worst, Predator finished the job. I think the guy is extremely talented and could definitely pull it off, I really love the Jacket and the Experiment, but I just think he's so far off the big budget radar it won't ever happen. It's similar to Eliza Dushku in Ghostbusters. I think it's an awesome idea and she would be a great fit but it's 4-5 years past actually being a possibility imo. Brody could have made a great Strange too I think. Shame it's going to Cumberbatch, as I think he's a robot actor. |

They wouldn't need to have Joker be apart of the Suicide Squad. I don't know much about the characters they're using in the movie, but if Harley Quinn is on this team, they can have the Joker involved in the movie, as a wild card, to be an obstacle for the team. Kinda like the Assault on Arkham animated movie. With the Squad breaking into Arkham, they have Joker in custody there, and being involved in the plot, but not being part of the team. |

I'm not a fan of Brody to be honest. Yeah, he has the look. But that's about the equivalent of folks who were clamoring for Bryan Cranston to play Lex Luther just because they were used to seeing him bald in Breaking bad. Or the people who were naming off every dude who looked similar to Brandon Lee for the Eric role in The Crow remake.

I actually think Will Smith should tackle the Joker but just my opinion.... I could've enjoyed Idris Elba as Batman also - but I'll give Affleck a try before judging uGH.... |
