I use Boldmere Acrylic Colour. Found at The Works for £2.79 a bottle.
Any ACRYLIC paint will do.
Also, always seal the custom with Acrylic Sealer.

Yeah man, any acrylic paint will work, however if you're in the UK you can probably get "Citadel Colour" paints from the hobby/toy store and Games Workshop store pretty easily.
Citadel Colour is awesome man, really smooth and really nice.

I live in the States and am partial to Testors and Testors Model Master. OK, that's cool. I used Testors as well when I was living in the states. They're decent. I heard that they're starting to branch Games Workshop out into the US. If you come across one pick up some Citadel Paints, if you haven't already. I just bought some Tamiya acrylics for my Samoa Joe. I've only done a quick test on some junk parts but they seem pretty good as well.

Well, the hobby shop I go to most used to carry several colors of Citadel, but got rid of them all before I was able to go back and get some....
I've tried the 'craft' paints, but they're just not for me.
