Islanders fans have had something to complain about for the past 20 years and I can only imagine the complaints that season tickets holders send in on a yearly basis. But our spies in the Season Ticket Office have tipped us off to the most unusual complaint this season. Since the start of the season, multiple calls have been placed by season ticket holders to voice their frustration with one part of their experience at Islanders games. No, it's not Brian Strait perfecting his imitation of a traffic cone, it's not Matt Martin's extended TOI. Season ticket holders are asking for the organization to put an end to the Daniel Bryan "Yes Yes Yes" Chants following Islander's goals. An ticket rep who wishes to go unnamed told Isleblog, "The calls have been coming in on weekly basis, asking to end the chants after goals. A majority of the callers have been the older demographic, which make up a large portion of our season ticket holders" First off, I'm 100% they have no clue who Daniel Bryan is or his power on moving a crowd. The energy throughout the Coliseum as the fans are partaking in the Yes! chants is off the charts. It' what sports are about, having fun. Moral of the story is - some people just want to watch the world burn, Islander fans need something to complain about and if things are looking so good that they have to resort to complaining about celebrating goals, well then, so be it. Old people usually suck at sporting events. Sure they have the money for the tickets but all they want to do is sit in their chairs, stuff their face with a hotdog and tell all their social friends they're season ticket holders. To me, unless the game is a blowout, you should never even use your seat. If you want to sit and be comfortable, keep your old ass at home.

I guess the easiest solution is for the Islanders to simply suck again.

Probably like John McCain and can't raise their arms to do the chant.
Too soon?

Yeah, heaven forbid fans voice their appreciation for their team doing well.

Eh, I'm in the middle. if someone in front of me stands the entire game without sitting down, I'm going to ask them to sit down, and if they don't, I am going to have them removed by security. Sitting doesn't make people less able to cheer or make noise. All it does is block the view of people. That being said, I'm fine with people standing during normal times, like during a rally, during big plays, etc. But there is no reason to stand during an entire baseball game, or during an entire drive in football in the first quarter.
