I love the tall guys and especially the fat guys. Yeah that sounds bad doesn't it? But King Kong Bundy delivering the avalanche was just awesome! Same with Earthquake. These guys were not high flyers, I.E. RVD, but they belonged in the WWF. So did Khali!
I am not interested in seeing Khali put on a technical clinic....I am interested in him smashing someone.

Best for his health too...having someone like Khali in the WWE is a throwback to the 'carny' roots of pro wrestling...freaks and oddballs...
That being said, he was utter garbage in the ring, and killed a guy by accident in APW.
Good luck to him.

stayed way past his welcome. had a good few years where he was at least booked right. then turned into...what else....a comedy act which couldnt save his non-existent wrestling ability. quite simply... and not a single was given.

His first few years he put on decent matches, I remember him getting tons of hype - though his matches did absolutely nothing for me. As the years went on...everything went south.

if this is true then thank god, he's been wasting space on the WWE payroll for years

I have to admit I did like Khali when he first debuted on Smackdown, but afterwards he just got boring and was way too slow. I'm glad he's finally gone.

He probably wasn't released. He probably either retired or they've just moved him to an ambassador role. Maybe both.

Not gonna lie I enjoyed Khali,I may be one of a very small minority but there we go. I can see him being under some kind of contract that has him promoting wwe in India as he's a major celebrity over there.

As usual I am in the opposite camp of the teenagers here. Yeah he was never a Daniel Bryan...Lord does everyone have to be? He was an attraction. Like Gonzalez used to be. The WWE needs it's giants too. I'm with you on this one. Khali was an effective jobber for wrestlers who needed to further themselves as believable main event talent. To those reading this, I ask this. Does anyone remember who Cody Rhodes beat in the build-up to WrestleMania 28? The Great Khali. Given that Rhode was Intercontinental champion at the time, he could have been pushed as an up & coming main eventer on that win, along with a less clean victory of Big Show at WrestleMania.

He's easily the most useless and worst wrestler to ever be in the WWE he looked incredibly awkward and he just sucked so bad. I prefer Khali to The Giant Gonzalez. Giant Gonzalez was a fun character though, and at the time, seeing someone of his size was a huge deal.

never really liked him,or had much use for him. maybe if he had actually been able to wrestle,or t least add some more moves in his arsenal...pretty telling when I found his figure at Wal-Mart a few months ago,and I was going to buy it for the kid,as he didn't have Khali yet. I ended up returning it,as he didn't want it! it has to be a pretty bad situation for most kids to turn down a toy! if he is done,he will go down as a former World Champion though. I always wondered who's bright idea tht was? probably Vince,I bet.

Even though it was painful to watch him walk to the ring, he did do a good job of putting over talent, in the sense that he had some good matches with Cesaro to help put over the Cesaro Swing. (Which all wound up being for nothing, but that's not Khali's fault) I always enjoyed when someone was on a winning streak or felt particularly cocky and said they'd challenge anyone from the back, then Khali would come out, chop him and dance.
I don't know what it is about Khali, but when my son saw his figure in stores he had to have it. I don't quite understand it. Though he also points to pictures of the upcoming Elite Mark Henry like he wants that too and if he thinks he's getting that he's in for a surprise.

Some of you need to get off your self righteous soap box. Khali could barely walk to the damn ring, let alone wrestle. I mean give me a ing break, the guy absolutely sucks. He came in and did his monster heel run, during the worst stretch in WWE history, and it worked for what it was intended to be, but the time has long passed to move on from him.

Yeah but back then he was super intimidating, had a good theme, was jacked, was just an overall monster until he started wearing red pants, got that dumb indian music theme and could barely even make it to the ring anymore

Man, I was scared of him as a kid when he used to squeeze people's heads. I remember he did it to Rey and he bled out of the mouth and I freaked out.
That being said, he could barely move now. It's for the best.
