Some of those are interesting while others are more than a little off.
The Kane character didn't debut in 1995. Also, does Andre The Giant's title reign count?

No, Jack Swagger and Big Show are lol, neither of his injuries were a botch on his part. I didn't say they were, but he still got injured at two poor moments. He's prone to injuries when he starts gaining traction, that will ruin management's views on him, regardless of his fault or not. It didn't ruin their perception of Randy Orton. The IC title is garbage, he may as well be unemployed if he's just going to be a career mid carder in today's WWE.

Because Orton was already a star in the making and the next big thing. Barrett was never that, nor could he ever be.

False, in 2010 Wade Barrett could have been the number one heel in the entire company by a long shot. They just decided not to go with him, and instead give him a literal and figurative burial. Barrett has a ton of charisma, he could easily be a main eventer if booked right, much more charisma than blandy.

Fact, he was the hottest heel in 2010. Fact, he was literally and figuratively buried by Cena Fact, he has a ton of charisma, that's how he gets a reaction even with a comedy gimmick Fact, he could easily be a main eventer. You're acting like I said The Shockmaster should be a main eventer, Barrett has everything to be a star, except booking.

He lacks the it factor to carry a company. His best day he's upper midcard who you can occasionally throw into a throwaway title match. Nothing about Barrett is special. Solid all around, but he'll likely never be a world champ.

Barrett was the top heel, I don't know how you can say he can't do it. If Del Rio can be world champ then Barrett should be face of the company. That dude had negative charisma. I just want a world champ that has mic skills, we haven't had a good one since Rock in 2013.

Barrett makes no sense. Cena, Bryan and Orton(lately) are fine on the mic. You have ridiculous standards.

I don't enjoy cheesy pandering promos and chants, and Orton hasn't held the title lately, he was boring and monotone during his reign.. It's the world title, for full packages not people that can just wrestle and not cut a promo. Is it ridiculous that I want the best of the best? No, that's what every one should want. I don't care if you can wrestle a 5* match on command, you have to get me invested to care.

I think you need to do a little research into demographics and popularity in this regard as well. Barrett is SO far from the best of the best. He's solid, but you're acting like he's an all time great. He's nothing special. Agree to disagree

saw this off Scott Keith's blog....thought I'd share imgur.com/a/snEEh#0(original link: www.rspwfaq.net/2014/11/debut-to-champion.html)pretty incredible stuff to be honest. this is strictly WWF/WWE Champion. no WCW or NWA or even World Heavyweight. When it gets to CM Punk it's pretty hilarious what the guy did. Some of those numbers are shocking to say the least. Some of the debut dates are actually a bit off...but we're talking months here, not that big a deal Some are not....but it really puts things into perspective when we all have gotten pissed off that a guy like Del Rio or Sheamus got the WWE title "so fast"....when many others were not far off. Great read Chip.....thanks for posting!! This dudes facts are a bit wonky in some places but it was still good stuff!!

Some of these aren't really accurate representations of it. As guys like Jericho had been wrestling in major companies and made names for themselves prior to debuting.
