JYD was a huge part of WWF from 85 to early 87. While we don't have many guys that he had a feud with, we still have plenty of guys that he could go against from that era...Piper, Orton, Bundy, Funk (he had a pretty good feud with JYD), Orndorff, I'm sure there's more but that's off the top of my head. I'm MOST looking forward to displaying him next to the DM Hogan, they tagged up every so often. edit: could also recreate the wrestling classic tournament finals with Macho Man (I'd go with the all stars 2 pack savage) Set looks amazing, sadly I don't have room for it. I'm familiar w/ JYD, but I'm not familiar with his feuds. Who's his main rival? I want X-Pac but he doesn't fit w/ my "original" DX nor does he really fit w/ just the outlaws. Bluetista is jaw dropping. I already have a custom Batista that I'm satisfied with however. Reigns looks great, but I have their original basics that I'm content with. Great job though Mattel. I almost didn't order JYD because I like to display wrestlers w other wrestlers they feuded with, tagged with, existed with, etc.... Wikipedia lists his note able feuds with Ted Dibiase, Kampala, Ernie lad, butch reed and Bundy he left mid south wrestling in 1984 to go to the wwf until late 1988 his most notable wwf feuds were with Harley race, the funk brothers, Adrian Adonis, Ron bass, and Greg valentine Then he went to wcw briefly in 1990 where he feuded with ric flair and wrestled off and on until 1993 He will just make my 1988-1990 shelf until someone more active in that timeframe replaces him later, then he will probably become custom fodder or make a shelf of random wrestlers throughout the years.

If I get JYD, it will be because of his time as the top face in the Mid-South. Fortunately, his ring attire didn't change much when he jumped to the WWE.

JYD was in my top 5 wants before they announced him much to my delight. He was one of the biggest faces in the WWF, portrayed alongside Andre, Snuka, Chico and Hogan in Rock N Wrestling, had an LJN figure, even a damn sleeping bag! His glory days were probably behind him but he still had plenty of charisma. I thought the match with Funk at SNME and his match with Savage at the Wrestling Classic were memorable. The guy was so popular, especially with kids, that they had Hogan teaming, dancing and barking with the guy! edit: Pretty sure Rampage Jackson's whole schtick is taken from JYD. I can't wait for that figure, I want it almost as much as Hogan, they knocked them both out of the park.

i wish the legends funk had the honky tonk/jyd torso ...im the opposite....i wish Honky Tonk Man had the Funk torso. The torso on JYD is from Hacksaw. everyone they used it on weighs at least 280lbs [JYD, Hacksaw, George Steele]. Except Honky...who was only in the 240's. I always thought it looked way too big for him. And everyone that uses the Funk torso weighs in the 240 range. Which Funk was listed at 247...so i feel its appropriate.

Back when HTM was released, I put together Jake's torso, Steamboat's crotch, and HTM's legs. Nobody seemed to think it looked right. Steamboat's and HTM's red colors don't match, but I never bothered to finish it.
