I will never understand how wrestlers still to this day can botch taking the Styles Clash. It's not like AJ just came up with this move a few months ago. He's been doing it for as long as I've seen him wrestle, and that was back in 2003 when I first bought a TNA PPV.
I have seen Kazarian botch that move in TNA too during that time frame, he tucked his head. I know Roderick Strong tucked his head about a year ago too. I don't get how wrestlers can do that, it's a flat bump onto your face/stomach.

Looks painful. The move is awful anyway so he should stop using it for that reason alone.

I've watched the gif in slow motion three times now, and I have to agree that it is Yoshi's fault. Yoshi's head hits the mat before Styles lifts him up for the Clash, at that moment Tatsu had his chin tucked in already. If he didn't tuck in his chin, he wouldn't be on the shelf right now. Styles can't be blamed for this, Yoshi didn't take the bump properly and it cost him.

Nah... it's up to the guy holding the one upside down. Y'know, the one who has no control what so ever as to whats going on. lol.....This isn't something wherein there's an opinion. 4 broken necks say that I'm right! You're wrong. Also, nobody cares if you were "properly trained"... you're still a nobody and your opinion isn't any better than someone who listens to workers speak on a podcast.

Maybe Billy Gunn can show Styles how do to it properly. He does the move properly 98% of the time when hes working with legit professionals. Guys like Kaz and Roddy while they are great are pretty sloppy sometimes. I canr speak for Yoshi and the others that have gotten hurt but those two i know for a fact were their own faults and Yoshi appears to be at fault just as well by looking at that gif.

Whether it was Styles or Tatsu's fault, I just hope Tatsu is ok. That could have been a lot worse than it was.
3 broken necks is concerning, even if it wasn't Styles fault. I think it would be best to just have Styles get a new finisher.

Couple of things: 1. I've taken the Styles Clash from AJ and I ed it up. I didn't break my neck because AJ took care of me. As wrestlers, we're trained to land with our heads tucked so it comes pretty naturally after a while. Everyone realizes that you're supposed to do the opposite on this move and put your head back instead of tucking it but sometimes at the end of a match, after going all out, you revert back to what you are used to. 2. Michelle McCool used this as a finisher with no issues.

I kinda feel like if you've ever actually stepped into a ring and been trained (or have been involved in the business somehow as like a manager or ref) your opinion weighs a little heavier than someone that merely listens to a podcast.

Damn that sucks, hope Yoshi recovers. 3 broken necks from a finisher means change your damn move AJ. Sure you can argue that his opponents need to "tuck" their necks but the fact is 3 people have suffered broken necks. You put others safety first and if people cant trusted then change the damn finisher.

So you're telling me, that when I take an FU, or an Attitude Adjustment, I DONT post!? I WAS TRAINED WRONG?!? So, the guy that's giving me the move does all the work instead of me posting? I did not know this! #SaysSomeoneWhoHasWrestled #Hurricane.
