Wow. That's all I have to say. There are two sides to every story and after hearing CM Punk's, it changes the way I have felt about the situation.

Ryback's tweet in response was awesome. The Big Guy! Yeah, they like to keep them off tv for half a year *cough* Christian *cough* I hope he does one of these when he's gone. I really can't wait to hear wtf Vince's problem is with him We already know the answer to this. It's his annoying ratty face.

Must listen podcast. Lots of crazy stuff, though it's great to hear Punk is happy now, which at the end of the day, that's what matters.

Hearing Punk on this situation really opened my eyes on how WWE is, glad he stood up for himself and is happy with his life.

Mildly funny, but far from owning.

This 100%. Punk was given a 400+ day title reign. Some guys never come close to holding the title, and some guys who do only last a few days to a couple weeks. Listening to Punk complain and say his WWE career was a failure immediately makes me think of Christian's interview on Talk is Jericho a few months back. Jericho brings up the fact that the WWE was blasted by fans for taking the title away from Christian after a few days, and Christian has nothing but great things to say about it. He says he was honored to simply compete for the title, and winning it, no matter how short it was, was an amazing accomplishment for him. Christian probably wanted to say more but he's still with the company so I doubt he's gonna say how he really felt about having to drop the title technically 2 days after winning it Christian is a completely different situation. He's been apart of at least a half dozen memorable matches in TLC, he was a pioneer of the tag team ladder match and the TLC match. He made a standing legacy in the industry. Punk hasn't really done that. Sure he had a long title reign, but that doesn't really mean much as there was absolutely no substance to his reign. Christian should be happy with one or two reigns, he deserved to be called champion, but he was never a top 5 face or heel during his singles run. And these days, he comes back and is injured again within a month or two. Christian has had time to reflect on his career because it's been basically over for a few years. Give Punk a few years, and he'll be happy with what he accomplished, but still bitter he didn't accomplish more. It's just the kind of guy Punk is. He's an bunghole, but he's a driven guy.

Wow. I haven't listened to it all, but have read numerous summaries. I never cared for Punk on many levels, good worker, talker, driven, definitely a self made guy so I do respect him. He appears to be very strong willed/opinionated, and that led to many of his problems with other similar thinking people.
I agree with a lot of what he said, no doubt he is spot on about the company/product. For his own welfare, it sounds like he made a good decision to leave. He always appeared to be working injured/tired/ even disinterested at times. That life isn't easy and being the top guy like he was is tough. That is why I respect the hell out of Cena. Cena nor Punk have ever really made me buy an event/merchandise/etc, but I respect them and would never boo Cena for the respect I have for him.
One thing that has bothered me with Punk, is he always had a goal to main event Mania. That is great, but he signed a 3yr deal knowing the next 2 Mania main events were set. They had their match, then Cena had to go over clean the next year. It is old school booking. He admits Bryan being the guy this past yr, so he wouldn't have played into it though he could have. Orton/Batista was a terrible, hard to believe idea that they would go forward with, but they were.
No doubt WWE screwed up the 2011 run. He became the biggest star in the sport, with their help, but then they botched it. They had a compelling story there, but lost it. Sounds like he is better off. With HHH being the future of the company, I wouldn't expect to see him back unless he needs the payday bad.

Owning? What a great answer from the guy who can't keep co-workers safe and he's a danger to work with. He thinks he's the smart one doing this type of "trolling"?

not even owning just further proves how stupid ryback is. Love reading comments online about how punk is bsing. I'm going to choose to believe punk over the two idiots who went out on tv and called him a quitter multiple times.

People disagreed then, people disagree now, you are confusing a difference of opinion with fickleness because you clumped everyone together into "lol internet smarks".

The more nonsense I read, the more I want to laugh. A good percentage of smarks are a bunch of hypocrites.

For now all I gotta say is that Ryback can be a funny guy at times but he has sucked since day one and will always f*cking suck.

This has nothing to do with people "knowing what's right" and everything to do with people finding out Punk's side of the story. It went from taking his ball and go home because of how he was booked, to going home after WWE could have literally killed him with negligence. How you don't get this is just outstanding to me.
