If Cena were to retire, they would be forced to push newer guys quickly, almost shoving them down our throats, so if Cena ever were to retire right now, prepare for Roman Reigns to be fed to us as the #1 guy, and then guys like Rollins, Ambrose, Ziggler, Wyatt would be pushed towards the main event.

The company would be screwed and they would try shoving the Miz down everybodys throat again like they did in 2010-11. For all the WWE likes to talk about creating new stars and opportunities to replace old ones, I do not see a John Cena or a Brock Lesnar coming up in NXT anytime soon.

I'm almost certain there is a plan in place at all times creatively and backstage to handle something like John Cena walking away. Everyone said this about Steve Austin years ago, and it happened Steve Austin walked away at the top and the WWE recovered just fine. The WWE isn't about one person, it's a giant global enterprise with two goals, generate revenue and cater to the ever growing fan base no matter the age range.

I really feel that it would be best for the health and growth of the company if Cena and to a lesser extent Orton were out of the picture.If Cena retired today the WWE would have some issues in the short term but long term would be fine and I strongly believe better off.Yes losing one of the top ten biggest stars ever in pro wrestling isn't something that's easy to replace but they have bankable main eventer(yes not many) in Orton,Bryan and to a much lesser degree I guess Sheamus.So you have those three and if thing go really bad I am positive Triple H would return to a semi full time in ring work load to help easy the burden.Then young stars like Reigns,Rollins,Ambrose,Ziggler,Wyatt,Haper...ect and the NXT guys would all get pushes.I think the whole "Brass Ring" thing would now really be in play and all of these men would have a new fire under their ass sense they would know that its their time to shine and that their isn't a John Cena in their way anymore.Kind of like in the late 90's when Taker,Triple H,Foley,Rock,Austin...ect all were fighting for the top spot after all of the big time stars went to WCW.

It's happened in the past already. Hogan was the top guy and he left. WWF was forced to put Bret and HBK as the new tops guys. The company nearly folded
