Seeing as how WWE built up Cena in 2005 to be "The Man" when he went over JBL at WrestleMania 21 to basically cement himself as the future face of the WWE some 9 years ago almost a decade ago that Cena was built up to be the next big thing in WWE, I wonder who could fill that void to become the next Cena of the company I mean let's see who could fill that void?
There is Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Ryback, and then there's Ziggler but which other superstars can really fit that mold? Daniel Bryan maybe or Bad News Barrett or Sheamus even but no I doubt it

In my opinion? Nobody yet and that's what they're struggling with.

Yes because if they can build up someone enough to take Cena's spot then Cena could turn heel or hell Cena could step out of the limelight and become more or less a part-timer considering Cena's age, father time is catching up slowly to Cena almost pushing 40 years old

The future looks good with Bray, Dean, Seth, Roman, and Dolph
But I choose Bray

I've got to be honest, the last thing they need is the next Cena. I get having a guy to be 'the face of the company,' to have out there, to get mainstream, but with Cena, they put too much behind him. They don't want to take any risks of having him challenged, because they are afraid of what could happen to their profile if he goes down. So you have people come and go, with Cena become the constant, and it causes staleness. I think it was even Ambrose that said in an interview, with Cena, you pretty much always know what you're going to get. You could kill his dog, and he'll come out there, and make the stupid jokes, and talk about how great the fans that boo him are, because they are expressing themselves. They need to try and groom several guys in that main event picture, and not just obsess on one guy to be the face, outside of the company. One of the nice things that was there in the era prior to Cena, is you didn't just have one guy, that was always the guy. When yo have several guys there, then you can have backups too. So if someone in the main event goes down, you can have someone come in, who doesn't seem like he's being put out there, more over panic over not having anyone, but because he's built up enough to seem like he belongs there. Plus you can have less of the same, like we've had the countless Orton/Cena matches over the year.

Reigns, Rollins, or Ambrose for starters. But I think Balor, Wyatt, Zayn, & Ziggler all have a very bright future.

Roman Reigns.
End of discussion.
If he didn't get injured, his push would be all in our face. I'm glad he got some time away to become better with promos.

I hope to god there's never another Cena. One was way too many. But as far as a next "guy" that could help lead the company... I hope it's Sami Zayn.

Lots of guys have bright futures. I just don't think they will be as bright as Cena's.

There doesn't need to be another Cena. Cena is their "safe" star, and has been for the past 6-7 years or so, even though he's been around for 10. There needs to be multiple, if not 8-10 main event stars on top of their game in the WWE at all times.
Daniel Bryan (a couple more years in him) Seth Rollins Dean Ambrose Finn Bálor Cesaro Roman Reigns (unfortunately) Bray Wyatt Luke Harper Tyson Kidd (please) The Vaudevillians (under a new gimmick for both) Kevin Owens Wade Barrett Damien Sandow Adrian Neville Hideo Itami
I mean, NXT guys are being built up to have great success in WWE.

In today's WWE, Cena is far more different than Hogan, Bruno, Austin, and Rock when they were face of the company during their respective runs. However, I don't think Reigns will be the 'face' of the company for 10+ years like Cena has been. I surely hope not.

I have a feeling reigns will take the rock route. As in he's getting pushed as a face and at first people liked it but then there going to go the "die rocky die" in this case "die reigns die" and he will be this heel and eventually people will bring him back into good graces.
Now I'm not saying he has greatness like the rock so don't chop my head off all I'm saying I have a feeling that's the route he's gunna take or the crowd will take him

Get ready to have Roman Reigns shoved down your throat....that's all I can say.
Is he ready? HELL NO.
But I don't see anybody else on the roster who could be booked like a superhero.
Way more talented guys on the roster. Ziggler, Cesaro, Luke Harper, Damien Sandow, Ambrose, Rollins.....but none of them have that quality of being unbeatable.
Guys like Undertaker, Triple H, Austin, Rock, Orton at times.....they had that believability that they could logically beat anyone. And I know WWE is fake and we've had matches where Rey Mysterio has beaten Big Show which is so unrealistic....and Cena, they just have him inexplicably be indestructible. His character has NEVER been really explained has to how he's seemingly made out of adamantium.
But I feel that Roman Reigns has the LOOK of somebody that you could have an audience BELIEVE could beat anybody. He does not have the charisma and his promos are awful (believe that, lol).....but maybe he can learn that stuff as he goes along? Kinda like when they put the belt on Diesel in '94. His matches weren't the best, but he had the look, he had the size, and he had charisma......if Reigns can somehow just learn to cut a better promo they might be able to make it not as force fed as it's probably going to seem when he wins the WWE title in the next 6 months.
