He has a chance to show charisma literally every chance he's in the ring. He doesn't. Ziggler can connect with a crowd in the ring and out, Cesaro cannot. Roman Reigns, again, can connect with the crowd. He has a presence in the ring, that's part of it. He's just as bad as Cesaro on the mic (we'll see if acting classes helped, I'm assuming no), but he can CONNECT WITH THE CROWD. The only time Cesaro does is when he's swinging somebody. Cesaro, as stated in another thread, is a great wrestler with some flashy moves but zero personality. It's really not hard to understand. When a wrestler gets into the ring, he has the chance to show charisma and to show personality. Cesaro has failed to do so just about every time he gets in the ring. And yes, Austin liked him when the crowd did, around WM season, which ing got Fandango's old song to Top 40 in some places. You cannot judge how over somebody is by using three-four weeks out of the year when the crowds are generally the hottest. Cesaro "connecting" with the audience. Besides that.... THEY....being the WWE....haven't given or let Cesaro do ANYTHING that will actually let him "connect with the audience" And you keep saying the Swing.... Yeah. That's connecting with the audience. And they aren't having him do it because he's a heel. It's also hard for the audience to connect with a guy who LOSES ALL THE TIME. If Cesaro was being booked & used the way Roman Reigns was he would have zero problems "connecting with the audience" and 50,000 people losing their crap when he threw Big Show over the top rope at Wrestlemania wasnt a bunch of internet marks on a marky mark crowd of marks night. Cesaro "connects" with plenty of people. But even myself am starting to not care as much because every time he comes out he just loses. No one wants to support a loser. No matter how many things he does. And if you really need something to "connect with the audience" than Cesaro should be doing the HEY! gimmick...because everyone loves to chant/cheer along with a wrestler Sigh. You don't get it. That's okay. Cesaro gets a chance to connect with the crowd every time he steps out of the curtain. He fails to do so on almost every single occasion. Notice the matches you linked. Look at who he's facing. When Cesaro is facing somebody over, who people care about, the crowd pays attention. Why is that? Because of the opponent. People pay attention when somebody who is over is in the ring. You're right in that WWE hasn't given us a real reason to care about Cesaro, but you make it sound like he hasn't had a chance. He's been given plenty of chances, and still has the opportunity to make us care every time he's in the ring, and he feels to do so. Cesaro isn't, nor was he ever (consistently) over. Around WM season, that's it.

One of the funniest things McMahon said during the podcast was that the problem with Jake Roberts lay with the snake. It's clearly been the god damn snake's fault, that worthless jaded crowd became too accustomed to a giant snake. Other than the snake, Jake has been sterling for decades. Maybe I'm reading too much into it for the sake of comedy, but I picture Vince sitting behind his desk judging Jake and Damien, deciding that between the two it's probably all Damien's fault at which point he cuts a promo on Damien and fires him. Here's a cobra, here's an albino snake, that should get things going again. That didn't exactly work so Vince gave Jake a vest and had Steve Austin and Jerry Lawler make fun of him.
And I do love Jake Roberts, he's in my top 10 or 5.

So is there anyway to watch/listen to this if you don't have the Network?

Using Randy Orton, Cena and Daniel Bryan matches doesn't help your cause, they make people interested in everything they do more or less. Exactly. It's just like I said -- he's fine as the midcarder to have a great TV match with someone that people care about. But he hasn't got the skills to be a money player himself, or at least his career thus far has shown no evidence of them. He's popular on the Internet, so he will occasionally get a decent reaction when it's a big Internet crowd, but most of the time, he's just a filler guy. And unlike a lot of the roster, who are booked as filler when they have more to offer, Cesaro is actually perfectly suited to just being filler.

Thought it was a good listen but laughed when Vince cringed at saying 'pro wrestling' or 'pro wrestler'.

his comment about Cena. Being the last one to grab the brass ring is bullshit. So you are telling me CM Punk who was hotter that any one in the company at the time. And the best way to take YOU decide to take advantage of his momentum. Is to have him get power bombed by a 50 plus year old man. so boring ass ADR can have the belt and then decide to job him out to big nose at night of champions.
or how bout Daniel Bryan who it took fans dam near rioting. for you to come off of Orton/Batista.

There was piece of info Austin gave out on his podcast about the WWE Network podcast with Vince that shocked me. Austin said Cesaro told him he wouldn't be allowed to use a reverse mule kick low blow as a heel in this era. They say they're competing with all forms of entertainment, like Disney. Disney, Warner Bros, whoever, don't have a problem with portraying villains who get their comeuppance. Does't seem to have anything to do with being a publicly traded company, seems like thorough and rigorous stupidity to think that way.

I guess Austin, Heyman, and Jericho have no clue what they're talking about when they say Cesaro could be a top guy.
