Over on spam.com, we were tasked with coming up with a list of the top WWE performers since 2000. This was tough since that spans 14 years and there are SO MANY candidates. I came up with mine and some others did too, but I was wondering what some of you guys think. Might I add that these are the guys I was personally most captivated by.
Kane - Scared the living crapout of me both ununmasked and masked.
Undertaker - Come on, he's the Undertaker!
Edge - Seeing Edge's transformation was amazing. I just wish Christian could have had more success.
CM Punk - Kept me interested in wrestling, and was just great.
Jeff Hardy - Made me a wrestling fan.
This is my list, I'm not going by who sells the most wrist bands and t shirts, I'm going by guys I enjoyed most.

It's certainly a debatable topic, but anyone who does not put John Cena as number one is lying to themselves.

I don't understand why I MUST pick Cena. If I'm doing top 5 money makers of the last 14 years sure, but that's no fun.

Best Performer (AKA most consistant, in my opinion) : Triple H
Most Improved Performer since 2000 : Randy Orton (who remembers Rest Hold Orton?)

Angle has to in the list, matches with Wife/Child killer, HBK, Undertaker, Lesnar,Edge,Rey,Eddie,HHH,Rock, Austin etc are some of the best in WWE history not just since 2000. Almost a crime to not list him.
Doesn't matter that compared to Cena/Taker/HHH/HBK/Edge etc that he wasn't there as long as those guys were, his body of work in WWE alone is incredible.

Ha, i meant he has to be on my list (although he does deserve to be on the list but that is just one mans opinion) as most of my fav matches have him in them. A top 5 is actually hard to do, there's been plenty of guys since 2000 with numerous great matches. |
