If he doesn't wrestle Undertaker then, in my mind, the only logical option is for him to wrestle Bray at Mania and put him over. Why is facing Bray logical? Because they're both "strange" gimmicks? Because it would give Bray an excellent opportunity to have some great promos. It would give Bray a heck of a lot exposure. And mostly because I recall an interview where Sting drew comparisons between he and Bray, and said he'd be one of the guys he'd like to work with if possible.

I didn't see that, so point taken there. I agree it'd be a great chance for Bray, but if they were to have a match, I'd want Bray to go over. I just don't think WWE would put Bray over Sting.

That's really my only fear. Its a tight spot really. Does Sting win his only WWE match ever or does he put someone over? I think he's gotta put someone over if he isn't wrestling Taker

If he's not wrestling Taker or Triple H, he's gotta put a young guy over. WWE has a huge chance to give a heel a big rub. It may not be streak-ending big, but spoiling Sting's only WWE appearance at Wrestlemania? Could skyrocket a guy like Bray.

I don't want to see Sting put anyone over at WM. And honestly the guys being mentioned in this thread don't need a rub. Luckily even if the WWE screws up and has him job to someone it'll never happen in my 2K15 Universe. lol

Maybe he's going to RAW tonight, for the Slammy Awards because he may win "This is Awesome" moment of the year.

Cena does that to everyone...and from what I am watching Wyatt is still one of the top guys. He didn't turn into a comedy gimmick jobbing to EVERYONE on the roster like Sandow did for over a year. Rollins doesn't need it and either and they are the top 2 new heels of the future. And after them no young guy on the roster is worthy of that kind of rub.

If Sting were to face a young heel, then yes, he could use the rub. Literally put any younger heel over in that spot, and they'll be your number one heel. That's how you build a future.

I know what you are saying, but there's nobody on the roster in that position. The guys on the roster who are going to be the future are already at or near to top in Rollins and Wyatt. Anyone else on the roster who isn't already an established superstar doesn't deserve that kind of rub, because they won't hold the momentum. What other heels are there? Rusev? Rose? From what I have seen they don't belong in a ring...let alone a WWE ring at WM with Sting. Ambrose? Reigns? They are faces so that won't work. Maybe the WWE should stop wasting our time with the Bunny and Rusev and focus more on the talent that will actually be there in the future.

I disagree. Rusev is a waste and when Vince finally realizes he will never draw as a main eventer he will never be anything other than a mid carder.
Rollins and Wyatt gain nothing by beating Sting now. Maybe 10 or even 5 years ago, but not a 50 + year old Sting. I never understand why people think beating a legend at the end of their career is supposed to be an impressive thing? You want these guys to get over they need to beat Triple H, Cena, Orton guys who are at the top and still going.
If Sting isn't wrestling a guy like Triple H, Taker or Kane at WM he shouldn't even wrestle on the card.

We're talking about the same Sting who people thing his "iconic look" was him not wrestling for over a year and just standing around in the rafters holding a bat right?
Sting never needed to show up on TV....He could have walked out on a PPV with no hype and said "I want you ____" and then fought and it would have been good enough

If Sting isn't wrestling a guy like Triple H, Taker or Kane at WM he shouldn't even wrestle on the card. Never said Rusev was a main eventer. He's a good midcard-upper midcard guy. He has consistently decent to good matches and sells better than most of the roster. Rollins and Wyatt gain everything from beating Sting now. It doesn't have anything to do with him being on his last leg of his career, it's about ruining the debut of a wrestling legend in his first (and possibly only) WWE match. Everyone expects Sting to go over, so if he gives a guy like Wyatt or Rollins (or insert another young heel should one emerge), it would be HUGE heat for them. Possibly as big as the heat Lesnar got for ending the streak (though I still wouldn't say that, but never know unless it happens). Taker vs Sting at Wrestlemania is a dream match for a LOT of fans, and it absolutely has reason for placement on the card. Same goes for Sting/Triple H, and I agree Kane/Sting won't sell me the promotional flier.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Because I see absolutely nothing entertaining or believable about Rusev. And as much as I love Sting I would expect him to lose to Rollins or Wyatt...because to me at this point in all their careers I feel both young guys should be able to beat someone who is almost 30 years older than them and hasn't worked a schedule like theirs in ages. It would be a bigger shock if they lost at WM. But that would kill any momentum they had. But for me that was part of the mystique of the streak for me since Orton. The old war horse finding a way to win another match. But that is gone now with Taker losing to Brock last year.
At least in a match with someone who was in the WWE during the MNW's the match would be entertaining and be much more believable that either wrestler could win.

Count me in the not wanting to see Sting lose category. HHH is probably the easy answer here to solve all of the "putting over talent" issues. It's not that I don't want to see Sting face young guys, it's a matter of if we only get one shot at Sting, I'd like him to win. WWE has gone out of there way to not have Cena put guys over at the expensive of giving the audience this ultimate babyface moment, they can do it for Sting. Likewise, if Cena didn't put over Bray Wyatt, why should Sting? That's rhetorical, he shouldn't, as this entire deal is about giving Sting his WrestleMania moment. Taker is a bit of a different story. That's probably about the only situation where I can see Sting justifiably losing but then they'd have to build the story right around it.
Trust me when I say, I'd love for Bray or Seth to get massive rubs at Mania, but not at the expensive of Sting. Rollins cashing in MITB on Roman Reigns is going to do twice as much as beating Sting would do. So if we're going to go that route, let us talk about something that actually makes sense longterm.
