Rumors are circulating that Sting's performance contract with WWE is only for a total of 6 dates!?!?!?!
One was burned at Survivor Series, and one will presumably be used at Wrestlemania....so that leaves a total of 4 dates up in the air!
Why is this the case? He was on EVERY WEEK on TNA, and he was wrestling on FREE TV? Does WWE not want to use him? Does he only want to work this few dates?
It just seems idiotic if it was WWE's decision, as Sting is the only man in the last few months that has been able to get any type of positive reaction from the crowd or create any type of buzz. For one night, he ignited a spark into a company and a product that is in a major rut, and then WWE made NO ATTEMPT to follow up on it.
If it was me, you ride something while it's hot and get your money's worth.....WWE, instead, left the entire world hanging. The people clearly want Sting. But it doesn't look like it's going to happen very much at all.
I'm sorry, but I don't see how impactful he's going to be able to be in just 5 more dates, with 1 being Wrestlemania. They needed to showcase him and introduce him to a major part of the WWE audience (kids in particular) who may not know anything about him. He should have had at least ONE match before Wrestlemania to get the fans who are new to him interested in him. But I guess WWE is content with hoping people just On Demand his old matches on the WWE network that NOBODY is subscribing to.
I have a feeling that this very very very short run of Sting in WWE is going to be very mismanaged and leave a bad lasting impression of one of wrestling's biggest icons.

Even though I honestly don't think he should wrestle more then once, it'd be nice to see him on tv

As long we get a match on raw! Sting in a tag match on the last before WM would be ideal.

I'm surprised we're getting him that many times. He's old, he's come very close to retiring several times. It sucks but let him have his WM moment (which should NOT be a loss to the Undertaker) then let him go home.

Hopefully this isn't true. I want to see him a LOT more on the run in to WM.

Sounds about right to me. Appear a few times for buildup, lose to Undertaker at WM, call it a career. Job well done, grab a few drinks and relax.

I just don't expect much from him at this point and there is nothing about him vs HHH that automatically interests me. Honestly him vs Taker doesn't much either, but at least the Nostalgia will be awesome and I will be there for it. The history of it will be cool if its both their last matches. Otherwise its kinda meh.

Its too late. I don't think I could enjoy watching TWO decrepit men facing each other at the biggest show of the year. Triple H can still go and I expect him to carry Stinger to a helluva match.

Very disappointing news - I can only hope that one of these appearances will be at the Royal Rumble, because I'll be attending and would LOVE to see Sting live.
My best possible scenario (assuming this 5 dates thing is true).
1. Sting appears once more on RAW, sets up a match with Hunter at Royal Rumble....
2. Sting VS. Hunter at Royal Rumble - Sting beats Hunter (with a surprise assist from Undertaker).
3. Sting & Taker showdown the night after the Rumble on RAW - decide to have a "One Night Only" Legend VS Legend match at 'Mania
4. One more random "showdown" on RAW the week before 'Mania, I guess?
5. Sting VS 'Taker at WrestleMania
I'm not one of the fanboys who necessarily wants Sting VS Taker - but it seems like someone at WWE is jonesing for this match, as they keep having "fantasy matchups" and so on at WWE.com, etc.... so I would guess that is the way they want to go.
If it's ONLY Sting VS. Hunter at 'Mania, then they might as well have not bothered to bring him in.... the match will never live up to 6 months of anticipation, that already started at Survivor Series....

Sounds about right to me. Four TV appearances (or another PPV run-in and three TV shots) and a WrestleMania match.

I've never quoted my own quote before, but let's see what happens.... To change my "fantasy booking"..... Sting VS. HHH at Royal Rumble Lights go off - GONG goes off - Undtertaker interferes..... Undertaker goes HEEL - helps Hunter/Authority to BEAT STING - since they are, you know, WWE "Old School" guys, and Sting always represented the competition..... they lay a BEATING on Sting, multiple tombstones, pedigrees, etc.... Sting is gone for MONTHS.... comes back on RAW in, March, I guess? Challenges Undertaker to a "One Night Only" match..... Face Sting goes over Heel Undertaker at WrestleMania, to cement his legacy..... What do you think - could Undertaker even BE a heel at this stage in his career? Since his wrestling skills have declined - I'd love to see it, I think.... a monster heel doesn't always have to have the best ring work to be effective..... and Sting's always worked better as a face.....

If you don't want to see Sting vs The Undertaker then you should kill yourself.

No way does Sting lose his only WWE match. He would go over Triple H no question, Undertaker is debatable.

If you don't want to see Sting vs The Undertaker then you should kill yourself. I should "kill" myself. Yet you're the one that wants to watch two guys well past their prime wrestle, so you can come on here and bitch about the match for the week following? Cute. Take your own advice.

Also, Bryan's "return" the night after was a MUCH bigger reaction than Sting's. Face it, people don't care as much as they once would have.
Once the "shock" wears off, majority aren't going to care about the Stinger being in the WWE. The best option is Hunter at Mania, not Taker.
