We don't know how long the contract is though...
6 dates on a 6 month contract isn't bad. He showed at Survivor Series and then presumably Raw episodes leading up to Wrestlemania.
However, if it's a year long contract with only 6 dates then that's different.
Either way, he should've been on Raw the night after Survivor Series to say......something.

If you don't want to see Sting vs The Undertaker then you should kill yourself. I should "kill" myself. Yet you're the one that wants to watch two guys well past their prime wrestle, so you can come on here and bitch about the match for the week following? Cute. Take your own advice. Cute? It's cute how you apparently know what I will do being as you obviously don't. They are my two favorites of all time. I am wanting to see them wrestle at WrestleMania simply because I've always wanted to see it.

No way does Sting lose his only WWE match. He would go over Triple H no question, Undertaker is debatable. I think if he faces Taker, he would lose or they would do some kind of double pin finish. Seems extremely unlikely he would go over Taker. Taker is coming off a loss too. I'm down for whatever they want to give us with Sting. It's really about the Mania match imo.

I hope the Hall of Fame doesn't count as one of the appearances. I hope that's special. I say the remaining 5 are like this- Raw before Royal Rumble, vs HHH at Royal Rumble, Raw before wrestlemania, match vs Taker at mania, and then the night after he gives his farewell! That's 3 ppvs and 3 raws. I hope the hall of fame doesn't count as one of the 6 appearances. If need be, they can pay him a little extra for that.

Not only coming off the first WM loss but the whole story and aura behind the long awaited Sting vs Taker match. It's always been seen as the most loyal WCW guy vs the most loyal WWE guy, and to have the WCW guy come in for one match and beat Taker would be a big WTF moment.

As long we get a match on raw! Sting in a tag match on the last before WM would be ideal. I like the cut of your jib.

Maybe he can actually do something useful like put someone young over and help build stars.

Are we suppose to forget Sting was having matches with TNA midcarders and appearing on free tv every week just a few months ago? Sting lost almost all of his appeal in TNA. I cant take this seriously knowing he spent like 9 years in TNA in front of 1000 people every week, Now suddenly he is just huge deal with only 6 dates on his contract?

Give the big Wrestlemania moments to the upcoming talent, not these guys that had their chances in the past, if Sting wanted to have his legacy cemented he should have taken the risk and make the jump when other people did instead of choosing just stay at home being paid for his AOL contract.

If he doesn't wrestle Undertaker then, in my mind, the only logical option is for him to wrestle Bray at Mania and put him over.

Sting is getting Hunter. He wouldn't have gotten involved in the Survivor Series match, for no reason.

Sting is a "special attraction" that we do not need to see on TV every week, so that when he does show up it comes off as really special and something noteworthy.
Lesnar is the same.
It's better these guys aren't on TV every week.

As long we get a match on raw! Sting in a tag match on the last before WM would be ideal. That 100% defeats the purpose of him essentially debuting at Mania.

i never ever ever ever will understand wrestling fans obsession with LESS of everything = amazing i just dont get it. ITS ING STING the guy can still go. there are like 10 guys on the roster I would PAY MONEY to see Sting wrestle. Maybe this contract is more him being done...maybe he's like "I just wanna work a 'Mania and be done"...but who the hell knows. If Vince's mindset is less = more he's sadly mistaken.

Very disappointing news - I can only hope that one of these appearances will be at the Royal Rumble, because I'll be attending and would LOVE to see Sting live. My best possible scenario (assuming this 5 dates thing is true). 1. Sting appears once more on RAW, sets up a match with Hunter at Royal Rumble.... 2. Sting VS. Hunter at Royal Rumble - Sting beats Hunter (with a surprise assist from Undertaker). 3. Sting & Taker showdown the night after the Rumble on RAW - decide to have a "One Night Only" Legend VS Legend match at 'Mania 4. One more random "showdown" on RAW the week before 'Mania, I guess? 5. Sting VS 'Taker at WrestleMania I'm not one of the fanboys who necessarily wants Sting VS Taker - but it seems like someone at WWE is jonesing for this match, as they keep having "fantasy matchups" and so on at WWE.com, etc.... so I would guess that is the way they want to go. If it's ONLY Sting VS. Hunter at 'Mania, then they might as well have not bothered to bring him in.... the match will never live up to 6 months of anticipation, that already started at Survivor Series.... I've never quoted my own quote before, but let's see what happens.... To change my "fantasy booking"..... Sting VS. HHH at Royal Rumble Lights go off - GONG goes off - Undtertaker interferes..... Undertaker goes HEEL - helps Hunter/Authority to BEAT STING - since they are, you know, WWE "Old School" guys, and Sting always represented the competition..... they lay a BEATING on Sting, multiple tombstones, pedigrees, etc.... Sting is gone for MONTHS.... comes back on RAW in, March, I guess? Challenges Undertaker to a "One Night Only" match..... Face Sting goes over Heel Undertaker at WrestleMania, to cement his legacy..... What do you think - could Undertaker even BE a heel at this stage in his career? Since his wrestling skills have declined - I'd love to see it, I think.... a monster heel doesn't always have to have the best ring work to be effective..... and Sting's always worked better as a face..... Undertaker is probably the only person on the roster it would be literally impossible to make heel. The man has too much respect and love. They could make Bryan, Punk, HBK, Bret, Rock, Austin, Hogan etc. heel if they were determined enough, but a crowd will never boo UT. I'm pretty sure he's done anyway. I thought they only gave Brock the streak anyway because UT said it was probably his last match? They should've just made UT-Cena WM28 ME (UT retires at 20-0), Rock-Cena WM29 and the rematch WM30. Bryan has his rise at 31 (assuming he isn't injured).

Bryan has his rise at 31 (assuming he isn't injured). I disagree with this for certain guys. HBK pulls A LOT of heel tactics on his random appearances and in his last few runs, but was always a face. I was always confused why people cheered him at certain times. The Rock is the same way. He comes out, makes fun of people, screws Cena out of a title win, and still gets cheered. Crowds view guys like HBK, Austin, and Rock differently than they will others. Hogan has portrayed a MASSIVE heel and the crowd could turn on him for basically just being Hulk Hogan. WWE celebrates guys from the past so much that they're viewed as the bright spot in wrestling for most fans.
