what were some of the less talked about cancelled moments that WWE weren't fully into or etc.
like for example: Perverted Matt Hardy, or Raven's 7 deadly sins, or the infamous Limo Explosions

The Flying Nuns Friar Ferguson Reverend Devon and Deacon Batista Mordecai pretty much any type of religious-based character Vince has introduced over the decades has failed, usually badly, except for Brother Love and the Ministry version of Taker.

I've never heard of Perverted Matt Hardy or the Raven thing. Anyone care to elaborate?

Paraphrased from their book, when they first split the Hardys up they did these segments where Matt and a diva of the time would end up alone through some means (Matts a creeper), and Lita would catch him and him watching divas asses as they left. I can find no footage of any of this

I've never heard of Ravens 7 deadly sins, sounds interesting as hell. Anyone have more into? Raven wanted to create a year long angle on Heat where he would attack guys based on the 7 deadly sins, so the wrestling equivalent of Se7en. I know I have him talking about it on one of his shoot interviews, so I'll have to find it to get his exact words. I know he used Matt and Lita as a target for Lust. I think it also involved Hurricane and pride and he wanted to use it as a way to turn Hurricane heel to get Helms out of that character. Raven wanted to have it be more of a psychological set of feuds, versus just being about physical matches. Vince apparently loved the whole deal after Raven mapped it out for him and let him get it going. Stephanie crushed the whole thing after Vince took his hands off of it and moved onto, what I'm sure were, more pressing matters. So it started but never really got off the ground. Raven will talk to you about the angle if you ever meet him. He had the whole thing worked out in his head, just not specifically every guy he needed to make it work. He was trying to give substance to Heat then since he was banished to the island of misfit toys anyway.

So many possibilities as to who he could target. I'll have to track down that shoot

Yeah, Raven is probably the most under utilized guy in wrestling history imo. He has such a mind for booking. He wrote for WWE in the early 90s, so during his Johnny Polo years, and Vince offered him a creative job again in 2003. He just wanted to be a performer though and I don't think had the same passion for the creative side of it, even though it was so natural for him. Mix in his drug issues, his rocky relationship with Vince from his years of partying and corrupting Shane, and then the eventual lawsuit against WWE, and you understand why Raven was such an underachiever outside of ECW. I blame Bischoff for his WCW misfortunes though. Raven was amazing in WCW and he was blocked by the same sh*t that plagued so many other guys at the time. He got further than a lot of them though imo because his character was so strong and he was such a phenomenal talker. Raven was perfect for ECW because Paul was also a smart guy and Raven wanted to do all these really edgy angles. Had Vince given him that same flexibility at some point from 01-03, I think we would still be talking about it to this day.

Raven just gets wrestling, all aspects of it he was your perfect mid 90s-early00s talent
