Man that Raven thing is amazing, that guy has a great creative mind. I'm not surprised Steph put the kibosh on it, probably too smart for her to get. (Sorry Bash, I still like you....friends?)

I'm going to go a bit out of the box with this thread as when I read its title, I automatically thought of the event called Footbrawl that was cancelled.
It was supposed to take place in Aug-98 and the main event was advertised as Austin vs. Kane vs. UT for the WWF title. Other notable matches that would be featured was Mankind vs. Terry Funk in a falls count anywhere in the arena match & HHH & X-Pac vs. The Rock & Owen Hart in a steel cage.
The event was supposed to take place in the old home of the New England Patriots, Foxboro Stadium (they now play in Gillete Stadium on the same grounds) in Foxboro, MA. At it's core, the show was pretty much a giant house show in a 60K seat stadium.
The show, however; never ended up happening as it was cancelled due to poor ticket sales which is ironic considering how hot wrestling was then. I often wondered if the show was intended to be a test spot to see if a SummerSlam PPV could have been held there at some point.

Steph's irrational hatred of Heyman unfortunately often carried over to many former ECW talents too....I have often wondered how Vince let this sh*t go on.

I feel that she was never playing a character, that's just how she was.

She was just being herself.....

that Raven thing just goes to show, again, what a poison Steph was in creative.
another cancelled angle - the Katie Lea and Paul Burchill storyline, which was specifically done to make them on-air siblings so Vince could do an incest angle.

I've never heard of Ravens 7 deadly sins, sounds interesting as hell. Anyone have more into? Raven wanted to create a year long angle on Heat where he would attack guys based on the 7 deadly sins, so the wrestling equivalent of Se7en. I know I have him talking about it on one of his shoot interviews, so I'll have to find it to get his exact words. I know he used Matt and Lita as a target for Lust. I think it also involved Hurricane and pride and he wanted to use it as a way to turn Hurricane heel to get Helms out of that character. Raven wanted to have it be more of a psychological set of feuds, versus just being about physical matches. Vince apparently loved the whole deal after Raven mapped it out for him and let him get it going. Stephanie crushed the whole thing after Vince took his hands off of it and moved onto, what I'm sure were, more pressing matters. So it started but never really got off the ground. Raven will talk to you about the angle if you ever meet him. He had the whole thing worked out in his head, just not specifically every guy he needed to make it work. He was trying to give substance to Heat then since he was banished to the island of misfit toys anyway. Was this around the same time that Raven was breaking people's fingers? Because I remember that too.

Because Vince has the same hatred for Heyman, probably just not as strong. The only reason Heyman is with WWE now is because Brock demanded it. Steph in creative=the worst idea ever. She doesn't have the skills to be where she is, makes me wish Shane was still here, he knew what he was doing.

Beth Pheonix and Mickie James
Not sure if this counts but remember Beth was brought in to feud with Mickie because Mickie caused Beth some type of harm. Then Beth got injured and when she came back it was never spoke of again.

She took control of the brand legit behind the scenes, didn't like Heyman and forced him out in favor of one of her guys. Joker could probably explain more but that's the bare bones of it.

Heyman explains it in his documentary (I just watched it right now). Heyman was in creative control of Smackdown and it's the reason why Smackdown was better than Raw in 02-03. Apparently he drove Stephanie crazy and she suspended Heyman for a month without pay.

I'm very sceptical about that whole deal......I don't believe it was as roundly disliked as they are making out if I'm honest...specifically on the billion $$ boobjobs part. These are the people that forced Katie Vick through....
