Have you noticed they are going to the velcro strap? You seem to be knowledgeable about belts. Any idea why they'd do that?

Have you noticed they are going to the velcro strap? You seem to be knowledgeable about belts. Any idea why they'd do that? Velcro straps are awarded to the fighters after a fight so that its easier for Dana White to strap it around the fighter's waist. Its a pain in the arse to snap the belt and even so, you can't do it quickly with snaps because the belt would have to be around the waist as soon as the winner is announced. So its easier and quicker with velcro.  |
