The thing that scares me is Mauro Ranallo kept calling the moves. Which I love. It added greatly to the show IMO.
But... about two years ago, I talked to Matt Striker face to face, and he told me that's "What kept getting him in trouble". So hopefully Vince has changed his stance on that. Because the majority of the fans seem to have really enjoyed last night's commentary. And I hope/pray it continues.

Striker, Styles... these are the guys who called wrestling matches and clearly it didn't work out for either of them.
Hopefully Mauro is the exception.

I absolutely cannot stand Matt Striker's commentary, I absolutely loved Mauro's. I don't think that comparison is exactly fair. Striker comes off as a condescending fan trying to appeal specifically to the die hards. He talks over people's heads, he's annoying, and relies far too heavily on sounding "buddy-buddy" casual. It doesn't work. Mauro comes off like a natural, informative commentator calling a sporting event. Which is exactly what a wrestling commentator should be. The comparison, to me, stops at "they call moves."
On a semi-related note, I thought Smackdown was significantly better than Raw all around this week. Solid matches. Great commentary. Minimal filler.

Very good show. Loved MR. Didnt have to fast forward at all and felt taken care of.
Also, "smart commentary" is frowned upon, but King can say "orientated..." King and JBL had their day, and need to step away...

Mauro needs to get moved to Raw. He slipped into WWE perfectly. Still called everything move for move like in NJPW, but added in the story telling element and shameless product pandering perfectly.
Raw should be him and one other person, preferably someone new. Someone with character like Lawler used to have. Someone recently retired or something.

Mauro needs to replace the entire Raw commentating team. Also, Ambrose/Owens legit feels like a main event feud. Hopefully WWE doesnt this up.

ambrose the new face of smackdown? if they knew they were going to do it 6 days later anyway.....why didn't they just have Kalisto win the US belt on the USA debut of smackdown last week John Cena wasn't injured at the time of taping, and the plan was for him to continue the feud with Del Rio. Cena hurt his shoulder and Kalisto won instead.
