I'm attempting to remove face paint from some Jakks figures, ie: RA17.5 Hurricane and PPV10 Animal.
I used nail polish remover as recommended previously, and it took a LOOOOONG time to work, and while it did get some of the paint off, it didn't get off all the paint, and in the case of Animal, it smeared the paint.
I'm just trying to get the face paint off, I'd preferably like to keep the eyes painted, the hair painted, etc-so it's not like I can just let it soak in "Simple Green" as I've seen suggested in here.
So please, let me know as many options as possible there are to remove face paint from Jakks figures. Thanks !

OK... maybe buy a nail polish remover with a higher percentage of acetone. It does take time, man. If you want to do an accurate and detailed job (like keeping the eyes) than this is pretty much the only option. You could try acetone, but that will eat some of the color off the face.
If there are some parts that just aren't coming off you could try sanding them off, that should work.
Otherwise, get some stronger nail polish remover and use a little elbow grease.

Maybe paint thinner would take it off. I'm not sure if it would damage the head though. try it on a figure you dont like that much.

If you end up sanding it, it might discolor it a bit but just put a bit of super glue on the sanded part and that will bring back the color and get rid of the grittyness.

Yeah, Nick knows what he's talking about. Remember to wash the head first to remove any loose dust or whatever before using the super glue.

100% Acetone nailopolish remover will take all the paint off...Just put some on a cottomball or swaub and bam..instant paint remover. Just be careful, it's is an acid...so a little goes a looooooooooooong way.
