The best part about the Miz being WWE champion was his Mania entrance that year. That video package is amazing.
The booking on the other hand was outright awful.

I'd add Del Rio to this list in a heartbeat...to quote a post of mine from June of last year:

People can say Miz and give a valid argument but to me he never should have been anywhere near the world title or the main event of WM. The guy was signed back in 2004 and is still so-so in the ring. He comes off as more annoying than whitty on the mic and has never looked like a main eventer. Yes the WWE did him no favors with his crappy booking, but can anyone seriously believe he can compete with guys like Cena and Rock? He is a solid midcarder and nothing more. He had a huge fall compared to where he was in 2010/11 but to me he should have never been there to begin with.
I know he is still being portrayed as a top guy but Kane could be argued. From the moment he returned in the fall of 2002 he was portrayed as a jobber to the stars and used to elevate new stars. His finally won his second world title in 2019 but after dropping it went right back to his jobber to the stars status.
In the end guys like Yokozuna, Miz, and swagger had bigger falls but Kane should be in the conversation.
