I can't stand the fact that DC is pushing this stupid Bruce steps out of the mantle story if that's where there going. Yes they want it to be realistic but Bruce is the alterego. Batman is the true identity. The point is Bruce will never stop until there is no crime; which he knows will never happen. Which is the problem I had with the Nolan Batman.....He was really just putting on the costune to inspire people and then go into obscurity when things got quiet. Batman was just this idea he could drop any time it seemed. Batman is supposed to be who he truly is inside. That's all he can be to make sense out of his life. Nolan's Batman truly is how a guy would be in our real world if he dared try doing something that crazy- Get injured as all hell and get out before you get killed. But I still prefer the comic book/ fantasy aspect of him. Agreed 100%. Nolans fit the realistic aspect he was going for, but the true character would never give up the mantle. Bruce is a mask. He can't ever just drop his batman persona because he is batman. his main purpose is to prevent what happened to him from ever happening again. It's a sad story because the character around him want him to live a normal life but also realize he will never stop unless crime is eradicated. It's also a reason I'm not a huge fan of the dark knight returns story.

If there was anything in the Nolan movies that pissed me off(I accept most of it because the ultra realistic view)it was Alfred walking out on Bruce. Unforgivable. I fast forward past that part every time.

I think Leto will try to deliver his own take on the Joker that is divergent enough from past renditions to be considered unique while still being easily recognizable as the Joker we all know and love.
Caesar Romero was my favorite Joker.

I hope he'll play it truer to the comics than anyone so far. For some reason, I don't really see a problem Leto playing a sadistic, psychopathic murderer. I think it fits him
