If you've got a figure with a loose shoulder joints that make the arms unable to stay in one position other than down and that allow the arms to flail around when played with (the dreaded helicopter arms), I find that putting pieces of cotton balls into the torso will dramatically remedy the loose-ness. Tear off some pieces of the cotton and carefully stuff them one by one into the slots around the shoulder ball joint with the file of a nail clipper (below left) or something thin like one. The puffiness of the cotton ball allows a lot of space to be taken up with relatively less material used as opposed to other ways of stuffing the torso (paper, tape, etc.) Stuff enough cotton inside all around the joint to tighten up the joints and voila. Almost as good as new. Some of the cotton may slip out during movement of the arm. If that happens, take some out or wet down the cotton and shove it back in with the nail file. Be carefully not to scuff up the ball joints or the torso with the rough part of the file. This method works for me, and hopefully it'll work for you.

Or:
Stick some super glue in the joint, and continuously move the joint to keep it from being glued together. Works wonders.

Eh, I'd rather not risk getting super glue on the figure/ball joint.
Hey AF,
On your RA/DA Sid Vicious what did you use to glue the lower legs together? Just super glue or something stronger? Is it playable/durable (ie could the legs break off during play?)

W!LDcard -- Dude, glad you asked. I stuck a little strip of Apoxie Sculpt in between the legs/boots, and then used super glue. That's all I used to fit them together. I tried selling him on ebay, but no one bid. So, I've been playing with him, and have had no problems whatsoever. So yeah, it's playable. Oh, and that's a great idea; one I've never heard of. But yeah, I can see why you don't want to mess with super glue....could end up as a bad situation!

Cool, good to know. I'm gonna try my luck and cut down some my DA1 Angle's calves, so it isn't ridiculously tall. If I do well on that, I might even try and shorten the thighs my AJ/Joe 2-pack.
