The booming echoes of disapproval are no longer reverberating off of the walls inside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. WWE heard them, ignored them, and didn't care, and still continued with something they knew fans do not want. You know that already. Perhaps the reason they didn't care was because the arena was sold-out. Every person in the arena booing paid $50-$500+ for the opportunity, and WWE is laughing all the way to the bank. And hundreds of thousands of people all over the world paid money to watch it.
Something WWE can not ignore is their network numbers, and ultimately their stockholders. I know a lot of people complain, but nobody ever does anything about it. Well I just canceled my subscription. I was a subscriber since day one. The only way WWE will ever think about giving fans what they want, is if the fans stop giving WWE what they want - money. Just like Punk said, "I'm just a spoke on the wheel, and you're going to keep pouring money into this company whether I'm here or not". No truer words were spoken. Well I can proudly and confidently say that my "9.99" will be staying with papa, and I encourage you to do the same; en-courage you to do the same. Have some courage to stand up for what you "believe in". If you "believe" in Roman Reigns, then keep you subscription. If you don't, then put your money where your mouth is, or shut the hell up.

I'd rather go out and buy a $9.99 pizza than give it to WWE. Atleast i'll actually enjoy it.

I agree you can cancel it, but don't blame Roman Reigns for doing his job.

lol the fact that so many people are cancelling their subscriptions is so funny, because by the time Mania rolls round, they'll be back
Although I guess it was a good effort to get #cancelwwenetworksubscrption (or whatever it was) the #1 trend in the world

All this "cancel The Network" talk is ridiculous... heck, if you don't like it, then by all means cancel (personally, I think it's FANTASTIC value for money). But to put it bluntly, if any "fan" cancels The Network directly because of this Rumble, then they probably shouldn't be subscribing in the first place. The IWC and smarks only seem to be against Reigns since it became public knowledge that WWE was getting behind him in and trying to push him as a main-eventer. They couldn't get enough of him in The Shield and when he first came back and was Superman-punching everyone in site - suddenly, word gets out of WWE's plans and he gets booed out the building and everyone's "I'm not being told who to cheer for!!" and "how dare they push him to the main event!". It seems to be the trouble with the modern/knowledgeable (for want of a better word) wrestling fan... seriously, Reigns was over like Rover until it came out that WWE really wanted to push him and win The Rumble - if it had been back in the day or if none of this had gotten out, then he probably would have been cheered-for in the same vein as Ziggler, Ambrose and Wyatt... If you want to cancel The Network, then go right ahead. The rest of us will just carry on enjoying it.

What did these people expect? They act like it was a complete shock that Roman Regins won. I have known for weeks he was going to be the winner considering the push he has had since his return.
I think sports entertainment fans need to grow up to be honest. In my youth if I would of turned the television off with everything I disapproved of and lashed out at the product I wouldn't be here right now as a wrestling fan. I lived through the Russo days of WCW and the bizarre days of 1998. Some moments I'll remember for a life time others I'm haunted by as a wrestling fan.
Also, other than Dolph who else was there to win? Let me guess Daniel Bryan? The answer to that was no. He just came back give the man time to get his momentum going again.

I don't have the network for my own reasons.
If you got the network in the first place, you must've wanted it, correct? Why cancel it because someone you didn't want to win won? Heck, you don't even have to watch the mediocre current product. There's the classic library, as well as the decent weekly NXT shows. 1 or 2 idiots cancelling their subscriptions because they got their panties in a bunch over Roman isn't going to change jack.
The network's already a failure in WWE's eyes anyway.

I enjoy the WWE Network and will not be cancelling it anytime in the near future. $9.99 is well worth the money to me. With that said, the Royal Rumble match was absolutely horrible... but .. it is what it is... Did you see that Triple Threat match? Absolutely awesome.

I don't use the network solely for the current product though. I will keep my subscription solely for the back catalog. I already voice my displeasure of how stale the current product is by not watching Raw or Smackdown every week. It's really easy to do if you have willpower.

I agree you can cancel it, but don't blame Roman Reigns for doing his job. Give him a mic and watch the wheels come off. I think it would be entirely different if Reigns was on D Bry's level in terms of skill. I personally don't like him because he's awful in the ring (just a power player with a Superman punch and a spear...oh golly) and his mic skills are atrocious. He may be doing his job, but he's not doing it well.

I haven't watched a full episode of Smackdown in probably 3 months.

I encourage everyone to cancel their subscription because it's going to be free in February anyway. Maybe. I don't use the network solely for the current product though. I will keep my subscription solely for the back catalog. I already voice my displeasure of how stale the current product is by not watching Raw or Smackdown every week. It's really easy to do if you have willpower. Unless you live in a Nielsen/Numeris/BARB household, then there's no measuring of whether you watch Raw or Smackdown or not anyway so it involves no voice either way.

Lol the point I was trying to make is that why would I cancel my subscription when the state of the current product has no bearing on my decision to subscribe to the network in the first place (hence why I mention I don't watch Raw or Smackdown every week). I understand I have no bearing on ratings but it saves me a lot of unneeded stress to not put myself through 5 hours of torture every week

I love the Network, so I'm not going to cancel it, but I was disappointed in the Rumble. I expected Reigns to win, my annoyance was mostly in how poorly they handled it.

I don't subscribe to the Network just for the current stuff, but mostly for NXT, classic shows & original programming. It's simple: don't like it, don't watch it.
It's funny; most of the people "canceling" the WWE Network & bitchin' & complainin' will still watch Raw tonight.
