Im new to the forum but have been collecting Mattels for a few years now. I have close to a hundred and have them displayed on a little book shelf. Im looking to expand it and was wondering looking for suggestions on what kind of shelving to get to display a large amount of figures. Thanks

Go to Ikea and get some Detolf Cases. I have lights on every shelf. Love them. W the 3 tier spice racks you can stack the figs.

Here is a link to my display which I think is quite efficient considering it uses only two 36 inch shelves. One thing that I definitely recommend is the deluxe display stands. If you look at that link from my display thread, you'll see more pictures and the way I used to display the figures as my collection grew. A quick comparison is below of the display with and without the deluxe display stands: ![No_stands](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--Z6-1ZDulrA/VAs1dQDaeFI/AAAAAAAAMAw/qk1uX0PQFY4/s400/2014-08-28%2B17.42.36.jpg) vs. ![Deluxe_stands](https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-sCZtQmXTfJA/VKx0afo7ojI/AAAAAAAANgk/GAhJS9l6jWU/s400/2015-01-06%252018.46.00.jpg) Previously, I did not use the deluxe display stands and would display them all flat, with a handful of them using a standard display stand to increase their height/visability. After purchasing a couple of the deluxe stands though, it was easy to see that this was the way to go since each figure can be seen more in their entirety.

I've got mine on shelves attatched to the wall that I purchased at home depot. I then bought a bunch of spice racks from Wal-mart and have all my figures in alphabetical order. Looks really nice in my opinion.

If you want to go all out, build a false wall, with them in the wall, in a cut out, similar to a recessed TV, with a museum class acryllic panel in the front.
This is what I will do when I want the missus to leave me!!!

I purchased my shelves from Craigslist. I wanted to have all matching shelves that were heavy duty. All 4 for 150 bucks!! Look around on Craigslist also!! ![](http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag85/iamjpierce/Mobile%20Uploads/C30AADCB-E05B-47CE-B574-8ADF5BC8BBB2_zpsvkotw8hs.jpg) ![](http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag85/iamjpierce/Mobile%20Uploads/F814FE3E-5B99-462B-BED9-88603D0F6E2E_zpsnwvqwesp.jpg)

I have a few shelves I made myself with two tiers. Three have loose figures which holds about 110 figures and my top is all my MOC stuff. I wish I could post my own pictures on this site, but it's like this only much longer. ![](http://st.houzz.com/simgs/cfe1551c02e1f68a_4-3756/traditional-storage-and-organization.jpg)
