So, as the thread asks...
What's your favorite?
I had to go with Rocky IV. Ranking them all:
Rocky IV
Rocky Balboa
Rocky III
Rocky II
Rocky
Rocky V
But I love them all, for their individual reasons. Great acting, great fights, great stories in most of them, and Rocky embodies the underdog persona perfectly.

Well, I would have to go against the grain. I picked 3, it was my childhood fave Rocky movie and it still is to this day. We get to see Rocky reach the pinnacle of his career. They move into the mansion and buy Ferrari's and Harley's. Live the good life and then bam....Mickey dies and Rocky gets KTFO! Then his former nemesis becomes his new coach and friend. And of course Rocky gets his title back as well as a little payback. I love Rocky 2 & 4 also, but 3 resonates with me the most. Plus.....I mean come on, Hulk Hogan and Mr. T as Rocky's enemies?! 80's cinema gold!

Four becuase it's  ing awesome. 1 is great for what it is, which is a typical story. With albeit a shocking ending. 2 is great because he the underdog gets his victory, and Creed shines. 3 is great because Mr. T was a BAMF. 4 is great because Drago was terrifying, it was 100% different from the others, everyone's hero dies, and it actually felt like a threat. 5 was great when I was a kid, now I realize it's awfulness. But kudos for trying something different. 6 was an abomination. Creed will likely be painful to watch. |

It's a tie between 2 and 3 for me. I love all of them with 5 being my least favorite out of them all.

Rocky IV all the way baby. always found the movie inspirational and "Hearts on Fire" still helps me push past boundaries when I'm working out to this very day!!
Is it unrealistic? F*ck yeah.....anybody would be dead after 1 round with Drago and the wallops he was delivering but man it Never fails to make the hair stand on the back of my neck when Rocky cuts Drago and the tide turns......
I just find the entire movie uplifting. Also the montage of the previous movies to "No easy way out" is really great.
5 is a total an utter abomination. I despise what they did to Rocky here.....DESPISE it.It could ruin IV if you let it......but I wont.

I have always loved IV like many of you. However, the first time I watched it, I was rooting for Drago because he was He-man to me. Like Joker, the music is great in it, and a big reason why I like it. The first 3 are all good too. I hate 5, watched it once and will likely never watch it again. I didn't like Rocky losing his house/money. Haven't watched the newer one either.

In my opinion, the original is the only good one. The series lost its legs as it carried on.

Rocky 1, 2 and 6 are truly great movies that i will always love.
Three and Four are great but lack the powerful story that 1,2 and 6 have in my opinion. Four is awesome but overrated in my opinion.
Five is........well five.
I'd go with one and two as my favorites. Hard to choose between the two.
