It'd look pretty damn cool, I have to say. I still wouldn't buy it though.

I'd consider buying one. I can't see Mattel making him though.

Personally, Mortis is not well known enough to justify and elite or a basic. Collectors would want it, but mattel is thinking what will sell to the general population and mortis does not have a good enough fan base to get a figure made of him.

Collectors would want it, but mattel is thinking what will sell to the general population and mortis does not have a good enough fan base to get a figure made of him. If Mattel made this figure properly (and I doubt it'd be in budget) then the kids would buy it for the same reason they want Ultimate Warrior and Doink the Clown-- because they look cool. Now it has been my theory for a while now that if Mattel was to make a flashback Elite it'd have to appeal to kids on some level (bright and colorful) so I'm not really sure how they snuck JYD in the line in those white tights that Jakks made him in as well but whatever. Maybe no kids will ever see him at mass retail.

I laughed at this. Mattel will never make a Mortis figure.

i would luv luv luv a Mortis. Since MDT's most wanted figure to work on is WCW La Parka, i imagine a Mortis is at least on his radar. Whether they could legally do one, who knows. It may seemed far fetched right now, but they have the contract for another 5 years. With the new HOF series and the return of Defining Moments....Mattel is pumping out more flashbacks then ever before. Thats almost 100 more flashbacks they need to think up. 4-5 years from now they'll be scraping the bottom of the barrel once they've put out all the Stings, Machos and Hogans. Thats when they're going to have to get creative and give us that Gobbeldy Gooker or maybe a Max Moon. So why not Mortis?

Mortis would be awesome, and sell on the look alone.

I honestly cant see Mattel making a figure of someone that committed suicide. Kanyon isnt really well known so when kids see Mortis and start to look up info about him and see how he had all kinds of mental problems and then committed the ultimate sin of taking his own life, I just dont see Mattel going that route.
(waits for the "but they made Razor Ramon" argument)

Kerry Von Erich killed himself w/ a gun....6 months after he left WWF. they made 2 figures of him

would be a nice figure. If not Mortis I can deal with a Kanyon figure of any sorts. "Who Better Than Kanyon?"

Yes definetely, Mortis would make an awesome looking figure.
I've wished for a modern figure of both Mortis and Kanyon to be made for over 10 years now.
