If they got any Japanese company I have to think it would be New Japan because of the ROH deal and the Bucks signing.
To me asking for international talent is a lot right now. The company said one of the ideas behind this line is to give the wrestlers something new to sell at shows and conventions. Nakamura isn't doing conventions lol and the only way I see international talent is in licensed brands like signing New Japan or AAA like they did ROH.
It looks like the early sets will be popular indy guys and semi active legends. I doubt you see Verne Gagne or Lou Thesz here. Remember many JAKKS Classic of guys from the 70s and 80s did not perform all that well. Let them come out after some 80s/90s and Atttitude Era guys which should easily do well.

If the company did distribute to other sites I believe there are restrictions put in place so that any site would have to charge the same. Like when the DVD sites sell stock to others.

My company is in talks to bring them over to the UK so I am very pleased to have such good feedback on the line so far as well as wanting most of the guys sight unseen for myself

That's awesome Bill. These figures should be sold and supported anywhere possible. This could be the next big figure boom if we all support it

So far, the names announced for Legends and Indys has been lackluster. On the Legends end, Jim Cornette and New Jack are cool.....but not excited for Justin Credible or Mikey Whipwreck. Justin Credible was made already (although a TTL....most of us customized the head onto Jamie Noble body). As for the Indy lineup.....Curt Hawkins I will buy because he is helping the line find talent, but he is not on my dream list. So far, the only ones I really want are the Young Bucks.....maybe Joey Ryan if he turns out good. I will be buying all ROH guys. I will probably buy them all to support the line but man I hope better names start getting announced.....Chris Hero is at the top of my list.

Its been mentioned before and we saw it with Colt Cabana some talent might be greedy and it might not be cost effective for the company to invest a ton into them.
On the flip side I have seen many "weaker" indy names mentioned but while they might be easy to get they may not result in sales.
I am satisfied so far. Going after ECW era guys is a smart move for many reasons. That could lead to cool figures but I would like to see non ECW talent too.
Indy guys that they will hopefully sign should be Hero, Gargano, Candice, Chuck Taylor, Trent, Ricochet, Brian Cage and Bullet Club guys like Anderson, Gallows, and of course AJ Styles. I say those names because PWG has been on a roll and Bullet Club is the hot thing.

Legends I would take the rumored Blue Meanie or Midnight Express figures. Would be amazing if we got Condrey or a Bubba Rogers. I would like to see the Steiners so they could give us the old school Scott we never got. Magnum TA. Stan Hansen. JJ Dillon. A better Rock N Roll Express. Shane Douglas. Gangrel. Mike Awesome.

I do believe we'll get a Chris Hero figure because This company follows Hero on their Twitter page.....also, the rep for this toy company stated that they are signing a big indy talent that will also compliment the ROH line (I think it's Hero). The entire Bullet Club (face paint and non face paint versions) would be excellent. Also....how cool would a 2 pack of Ricochet/Prince Puma alter ego be? Or a Mdogg/Son Of Havok alter ego 2 pack be? I hope these are on the horizon. If some of these talents are too greedy (like Cabana) then I guess they can wait until they get to WWE to have a figure made (which in Cabana's case would be never).

That's the thing. We have our wants but its not like WWE figs or even ROH where we can see whats on the horizon because of who is in the brand. The company has to seek out the talent present their deal and see if they take it. For a rebooted/startup line its kicking off very well. It might take the launch for other talent to come around.

Are they even able to do talent that is under contract to Lucha Underground, like Ricochet? I'm sure that company has their own merchandising deals that are either in place or they're working on.

I know it's unlikely, but for customizers like me I'd love it if they offered just the painted heads for sale as an option. That way I can afford 4-5 Cornettes instead of just one. Let's be honest, someone is going to buy the head & cast it for resale anyways.

Cornette would still get his contracted oayment regaurdless if its a head ot full figure. Thats not worth it.

Without fighting I'm gonna say your wrong - I'm sure they secured Jims likeness for toy purposes & could produce just the head as easily as the whole figure per contract.

Well the way I see it, Lucha Underground probably has the right to the prince puma character, and Prince Puma merchandise, but I'm sure they could release figures of Ricochet himself, it would be an independent contract between his personal brand and the toy company

The contract shown in the pictures specifically states action figure license. You won't see just the heads sold.

I'm not fighting, but, Cornette would want oayment regaurdless if its a whole figure or the head. Either way, its his likeness being released. It has been said before by Mattel, Jakks, Hasbro, Neca, Hot Toys, Sideshow, Tamashii Nations, Blue Finn, Good Smile, Kotobukiya.... I could do this all day, " That its not a financially wise decision to release "parts" to the masses seperate from their figures/statues." No company will cater to customizers.

No WWE guys are going to be allowed in this line even if they previously wore a mask or had a different gimmick or name.

WWE is not happy that the company is signing so many indy guys, especially guys they hoped to have come to NXT. I guess the Steen thing pissed them off lol. Good for the company to get figures of non-WWE guys to sell. Sounds like more typical WWE monopoly crap that they didn't think other companies or wrestlers would market themselves.

Hopefully they can push out a bunch of these stars before WWE puts their foot down. After to ROH tonight, I want the entire locker room. And a RSR with a full set of barricades and ROH signs.
