We have been seeing quite a few NJPW guys on ROH tv.....so I do not think it is necessarily out of the question that we might see some of those guys included in the ROH line. This toy company would be dropping the ball if they didn't at least try to get a deal with guys like Okada, Nakamura and Liger. Liger would sell out in a matter of nanoseconds....so would any and all repaints of him i'd imagine. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

One of their reddit posts said something about it being hard to get an international licensing deal plus guys like Liger etc are under full time deals with New Japan they're not free agents like the US guys they've signed getting Liger or Okada would be like them trying to sign Cena or Orton to a deal it can't happen unless they sign a deal with New Japan. |

What about AJ Styles? He's IWGP champion. Does this mean we wouldn't get a fig of him? Oh well, if it happens it happens. We may actually have trouble getting decent indy guys if WWE has their way.....I was actually worried when the first indy name announced was Cliff Compton. They then redeemed themselves with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. If we can get a Chris Hero I'll be happy.

I'm more interested in seeing the product. We can discuss who we would like to see all day but to be honest, it's really all about how the figures look and function. Considering they are RA with real cloth clothes. I'm somewhat interested although I really wish they would of bought the UFC molds instead. Now that would of set this line off to be honest. The extra articulation on guys like Steen, The Briscos, would of been amazing.

Why did 4 days of posts get deleted now? This is getting ridiculous. probably because it was all inane nonsense about NJPW guys and WCW guys who'd never sell. It'd do for 2 posts on this line. One for strictly news and one for wishlist stuff where the same three people can repeat the same inane babble over and over and argue with each other without bogging down the actual news. My wonder about this is, could an indy wrestler "buy in" on this? for example, if 1000 units is the bare minimum that needs sold for it to be "successful", could an indy guy front up and buy 1000 units themself to sell at a gimmick table or whatever? what's the difference for the toy company if they sell 1000 New Jacks themselves to 1000 people, or if they sell 1000 Mia Yim (drawing her as a completely out of the blue wrestler, because she's on my screen right now) TO Mia Yim. Dunno how many wrestlers have that kind of money, but maybe that'd be the solution for someone like Colt Cabana. want all the reward? you take all of the inventory and all of the risk. I know when I was making buttons, I'd make any design someone wanted, if they'd buy the entire run themselves. |

I just kinda doubt that many Indy wrestlers have that type of spare cash laying around despite it being a pretty sound investment. The toy company isn't gonna sell them at cost because they've already spent money paying a sculptor and manufacturing molds. So if at 1000 units, the lowest they could sell them at in order to recoup their expenses is 8 bucks (a wild guess but at that price there's plenty of meat left on the bone) that's 8 g's. Blue meanie probably doesn't make that in a year. |

Yeah I could see maybe an ex WWE guy like Drew Galloway having that money, but def not any of the lower level indy guys who are probably trying to get figures made.

I doubt it's that good of an investment for the wrestlers anyway - you could pack maybe 2 shirts in the same space as 1 figure box and both retail at a similar price per item... If you clear your bag you've esrnt more through shirts than figures. I'd love to see it but can't imagine it happening unless they sold them online

I'm sure it was so WWE could show off their version and try to kill interest in the ROH figure. Lots of great stuff at SDCC but the Owens figure was not one of them. |

The finished versions of either could look different and my opinion could change. I don't like how on the Mattel version, his shirt looks tucked in. On the other hand, we haven't seen the roh torso yet and if they don't have the umaga, bam bam or Trevor Murdock ra torsos to put under a fabric shirt, I'm worried. |

Not sure if you guys saw or heard but I went on their Twitter and notice someone saying they (the company making the figures) have recently singed a deal with the NWA. Just wanted to let you guys know that becuase I did not see any report on this.
