In brief: I've seen some, not all, full figure protos. Remember though, ROH has final say and approval, and after that, we coordinate when things get revealed. I know some people expect every step of the production process to be leaked along the way, but we have a more formal arrangement that is also easily controlled by the fact that this is done in-house. Same goes for pricing, etc. Any specific detail in regard to the line (pictures, pricing, availability, etc.) will come from us and ROH directly. There won't be any leaks. Anything and everything I say will be within my right to do so as a professional. We have no agreement with GFW. We are working on NWA replica belts once again, and some of the talent that has appeared on GFW shows like Brian Myers, Doc Gallows, and the Young Bucks are going to be in our new Rising Stars of Wrestling line (a lot of people dubbed that the "indy" line). Amber O'Neal/Gallows will be in the Rising Stars set, so yes there will be female characters done in our lines. In regards to these lines being a niche product, they are targeted towards the collectors market. Doing business with others is good for everyone. Our compand and products get exposure, other places get new, fresh merchandise to sell, the talent gets exposed to a new audience, collectors are happy that they can get new figures, and good business leads to more figures down the line. It's a winning situation for all involved. I've mentioned before that I'm both a fan and a collector, so to me, having these figures get widespread exposure and do big business anywhere they can be sold means that I'll get to work with more talents on new figures down the line. That's something I think we can all agree we'd like to see. It makes total sense that you can't make any announcements about the roh line without their consent, but what about the other two lines. You guys have been equally tight lipped about those. We'd like to see what completed ftc ra style wrestling action figure looks like with accessories, who's in which assortments, how much they'll cost and when they'll be available to be purchased. So... Basically we want to know everything there is to know. Perhaps you can shed some light. On a separate, more specific note, which torso, arms, and legs parts do you have access to from the original jakks catalog and for whom, if anyone, have you had to sculpt molds for a new body part? Lastly, has any thought been given to doing "bloody" variants like was the case with the original lopw line? Thanks

Lastly, has any thought been given to doing "bloody" variants like was the case with the original lopw line? Thanks I don't feel we've been tight lipped on those lines at all. We've made constant announcements, have revealed some sculpts, and have some great talents hyping it as much as we do. If you're expecting protos of those lines now, I've stated elsewhere that will be a while. We are only announcing talent and getting the initial sculpting done. We're focused on finishing up the ROH production run for the first wave of figures before starting up the new ones. Have to space it out. Also remember that we have a lot more than just wrestling in production. Information will trickle, not flood. As a collector myself I understand some of the impatience and urgency...it's something that has people excited, and that's the goal for any product. Trust me, no one is as anxious for these to hit as I am. We have quite a few body molds available. A female body, a skinnier body, a bigger body for Meanie, a stocky "no abs" torso...we've got a variety in production to utilize for the variety of stars we will be doing. No talk on bloody variants, but ideas of exclusives and variants have come up in talks with some talents. We won't cross that line until the first figures are released.

Just to clarify, has FTC actually bought the RA body molds from Jakks or are you guys just "licensed" to use them somehow (but they still belong to Jakks)?
Also please can you reassure us collectors that you guys will take extra care to make sure the heads of these figures don't come out oversized?
May seem obvious but that problem (often called "Balloon heads" in the community) was very common with Jakks' RA figures, especially the later ones, and was extremely frustrating that Jakks didn't seem to notice or care.

FtChris,
Welcome to the board first off. Secondly, I want to voice my concern about the Blue Meanie figure. It's a "Legends" line yet it's been stated that Meanie will be a hybrid of his classic look and his current look. To me that's a travesty, I understand he still is active on the Indy scene & if he/you want that look it should belong in the Indy line not the Legends line. I'm sure 99% of the people buying this figure want a ECW or even a WWF look not what he looks like now. To me, giving too much pull to the wrestler & what they want is not going to satisfy the consumer. If Meanie has a full head of blue hair & no painted on glasses without a half shirt I'm going to EASILY pass.
Thanks, Classic Colllectors Everywhere

The Meanie figure will certainly satisfy collectors, make no mistake about it.
Talent will always have a strong say in regards to their figures, but we also work with them hand in hand. It's not one side directing the other completely. It's truly a team effort.
Based on what I've seen proto-wise, head size should not be an issue.
One has to remember though that this is all subjective. One persons perfect figure may be a pass for another. It's just a matter of opinion. Between the talent involved and the effort were putting into the line, it's going to satisfy everyone's wants, I'm sure.

Yep: Dear mods: before you see this and do an instant delete, you can verify with your admins that FTC and Ringside will be doing business with each other and thus it's OK to post here. That said, HI! Chris from FTC here. I'm not sure how in depth coverage has gotten in these 63 pages, but I'm the CMO at FTC and handle our media presence, both on our own pages and elsewhere. I'm here simply to bring you OFFICIAL news and updates, get the bullet points of what's been revealed out of the way, and hopefully engage in some good discussion with the collectors here. If it's cool with the mod team, I'd like to start a new thread where it can be stickied and the first post can be edited and updated by me as information gets out and production progresses. That way it's a one stop shop for everything that there is to say about our Ring of Honor figures, as well as the new Rising Stars and Legends lines. Hope to talk to you all soon! There are some big things coming in a short amount of time (days, not hours or minutes), so there's going to be more to discuss. Chris

Nothing is going to be leaked before official announcements on any line is made. Do we want to do figures for female stars? Absolutely. You'll just have to be patient and see. Right now I can say that Amber is the only female in the first wave of Rising Stars.
