So last Saturday i put in an order to Ringside with a few figures and accessories. Today my package came and I open it extremely anticipating to receive my Elite XPac only to find a letter from Ringside stating that the figure I had purchased had already been sold out and that they put the money back on my account.
Usually they used to email you and tell you these thing and not send a letter as a replacement. It just bothered me a bit and I needed to vent. I'm happy I got my JYD and Seth Rollins but I REALLY wanted that damn XPac. Has anyone had this happen? Why couldn't they just sent a letter that said "Hey The figure you purchased has sold out and been put on backorder and you will receive one as soon as possible". Instead of the "Hey I know you thought this was coming and all but we're out of stock and here's your money for the toy have a good one".
This is the first time I've ever had such a gripe about something so tedious. Thanks for listening!
**EDIT** Well I didn't post this with any intention of having this "problem" fixed by any means but more of just a post to vent to my fellow collectors! Man did Ringside pull through and earn their customer service award today! Thanks again homies!

I hate when companies do this & refund your purchase price but don't return the extra cost of shipping (since each additional figure ups the total shipping cost). Had that happen a few times with several companies.

Never happened to me, but I have heard of that happening even back in the Jakks days. That is why if I am preordering figures that aren't in the same set I split the orders.

Hey Villians,
I'm very sorry to hear that! We apologize that X-Pac sold out and didn't think you'd want to wait 7+ weeks for the backorder so we issued you a refund that included part of the shipping cost as well. Sometimes when our inventory is down to just 1 or 2 pieces it could be slightly off if an Amazon or eBay order came in on the same day for that item (or if our warehouse miscounted).
If you'd like we have a damaged package X-Pac we can send you at a heavily reduced price including shipping or we can give you a special discount on a back-order X-Pac if you're an MOC collector. Please PM me if you'd like either of these options.

RSC did me solid too! Order 3 packages of ropes.. 2 of the 3 were correct. They sent me the correct one free of charge AND let me keep the incorrect ones. I know it's not an expensive item by all means, but they definitely took care of me

That Xpac figure is red hot right now. Coming with a Euro Title probably doesn't hurt sales either.

This happened me when elite 18 was up, I was refunded for Mankind. No big deal since I got him later that week. At least they came out to solve your issue. Customer service is gold.

I had this same thing happen before and I had to ask why the refund because it happenned before the package arrived. When I asked I just got a default copy/paste line about how the item was sold out. It even had a typo. It just seemed like a general lack of care, it was the first time I've been let down by rsc. And if I didn't query why I got a small refund, all I would have gotten is a letter in the box when it turns up which is way too far after the fact.

Wow that pretty awesome of them. I had a similar issue with a loose figure but I had no such luck. Over all ringside is classy and I've never had major issues with them. They are still the best
