I was looking at my collection and, at first, I wanted to collect one of everyone. Be it elite or basic, whichever I saw first. Now, I'm switching over to only elites and I was wondering how much normal basics go for. Examples are like single figures out of battlepacks (Brock Lesnar WM30) and others like Mr. Perfect and SS Shawny Shawn. Are they worth trying to sell? Thanks

Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Alberto Del Rio basics are worth the most.

The best way to see is to go to eBy and do an advanced search of the sold listings. That'll be your guide. Older basics are generally worth more, especially if they're the only figure made of a guy or a rarity like the SummerSlam Heritage Randy Orton.

They're worth very little. Ebay is not a good guide. You won't find many basic figs on ebay for less than $7.
You need to use RSC as your guide. If you remember their loose figs, they sold some for as little as a dollar. THAT is what a Cena or Del Rio fig is worth loose. One dollar.
And they sold elite loose figs for $10 or less, mostly. With exceptions of course. So basic figures are not worth what people want them to be worth. A loose basic Undertaker is worth $5. Not $10 like it was new at the store.
I hope this helps.

Your best bet is selling them in lots. 75% of each lot should consist of common and fairly easy to find figures along with a max of 3 decently sought after ones. This way you can get rid of the the ones not worth much and still make a good buck because of the few sprinkled in that a lot of people still want. This along with the size of each lot should make you some decent cash. I wouldn't recommend piecing them out if you're going to sell them on eBay because all the fee's will add up and you'll be making less than if you sold in a group.

They like everything else are only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Basics don't hold value like Elites unless they were never made in Elite form like Hurricane and Mike Knox which are worth more than $10.

I mean what's a happy medium for them? 3 bucks a pop on a good day? plus shipping for really common figures, yeah. Up to five bucks possibly. Three bucks plus shipping for Punk, Miz, Cena, Sheamus, Orton probably. Other guys maybe five plus shipping. Also depends how fast you want to sell them.

Would a flea market be any better you think? It really all depends. At a flea market you're most likely going to run into parents with kids and then also some older collectors who both likely don't use eBay as a resource to buy stuff. They might be willing to drop $8-$10 on each figure as opposed to someone whos looking on eBay and knows more about the value. For example a parent walks by with a kid who wants a John Cena toy. If you price it at about $8 they'll probably buy it and never give it a second thought. So it wouldn't hurt to try.

Usually every time I end up with basics (usually from having to buy those stupid Build a figures) I end up just giving the basics away.
