I don't collect the guys just the women I think we should have gotten: ODB Tara Mickie James Havok Awesome Kong Taryn Terrell Tapa
Odb, Havok, Tapa, and Kong would have all been such awesome figures! Oh and the knockouts belt, it actually makes me sad that we never got figures of these women.

Pretty sure I had read that in an old Fwoosh article. I also got the impression that it was Toybiz bailing marvel from the bankruptcy and securing Avi Arad a nice postition at Marvel. It's all most likely hearsay anyway. And it doesn't change the fact that they are gone. Well yeah that actually happened, the 2 big players in Toybiz Permutter and Arad were promoted to bigger roles in Marvel when Toybiz merged with them. Arad got a nice cushy job in charge of Sony's Spider-Man movie development, among other movie duties. This was an article I found about the subject. About halfway in it mentions ToyBiz's demise. I don't know where I thought I had read about Legends reverting at the end of the Hasbro license. This corroborates some of the points both you and I had made. The shame is that it is hard to find articles about what would be the end of an amazing toy manufacturer and an interesting read. thefwoosh.com/2013/09/the-ones-that-got-away-unreleased-marvel-legendsWe actually discussed this topic at length recently on the Fwoosh, really interesting stuff. There was a research paper published in 2004 on the implosion of Marvel and the Toybiz bailout. Can't find it right now, but it's a long read and if you're interested, I could try to get it over to you. I was rooting for Toybiz, since I associate them with nostalgia and my childhood. They pretty much made figures of every franchise I loved, and their toys were fun. I especially love the TNA figures because they were cool and a huge step up from the WCW ones. Just they're hard to get nowadays.

Just they're hard to get nowadays. PM me that if you ever find it. I can't ever find much when I try searching on Google. I'd love to know much more about one of my favorite toy manufacturers. Marvel Legends pretty much owned (well, they still kind of do) my early adult life. I graduated a little over a year after the ML line started so most of my money from my first two jobs was spent on them. It was only the second time I had amassed over 100 figures in one toy line. The first was the American editions of the Gundam MSIA line. It was a big achievement back then. And back to the topic at hand, I forgot about that AMAZING Tara prototype we saw. This thread reminded me of several abandoned figures I had forgotten. Doing a quick image search refreshed me to all sorts of cool looking figures that we'll never get. Even some of the simple repaints were really neat like the purple attired Beer Money, and AJ Styles in gold.

I agree about gunner. It's totally inexcusable. They should have put out the other legends they'd already shown protos of. In particular scott. They should have attempted to capitalize on the short lived aces and eights popularity. They had flair for a year and did no merchandise. That's another big fail.

I wish they had made a more appropriate Mich Foley instead of the 8 inch tall Umaga mold ones. The later Samoa Joe one with the green shorts works good enough for me even though it's a bit taller than it should be but the Mick Foley ones are both just all around too big. I wish they had made the current TNA belt or at least stopped putting out the old one on wrestlers that never held it... if you open a figure it's easy enough to toss the belt aside but if you're having it Mock it looks weird seeing Chris Sabin wearing a belt they got rid of in 2011 when he wasn't champion till 2013... I wish they had made a fully "Crow" Sting without the red streaks, and maybe with long rubber hair... And I wish they had made an open mouth scan one. And I wish the exclusive joke style one with the cloth coat had the real glove mold instead of the hand mold with fingernails and so forth just painted black... Obviously there's the common things like wanting a bearded Eric Young, a short haired Roode, ODB, etc. It seems like EC3 would be a pretty easy one cause they could just use the Rob Terry type moulds and it would be a really easy paint job and so forth they'd just have to make the head scan...

I think it's a shame they never released the Doug Williams figure that they showed protos for.

Would have personally loved to see more Knockout variety (and an updated brunette Madison Rayne), but I am thankful that we finally got a Gail Kim figure!

1. Rhino
2. No updated Impact Wrestling blue roped ring (4 or 6 sided)
3. Gunner (ofcourse)
4. Ultimate X Playset
5. Low-Ki for sure.
I really hope they try to start making figures again, in either Deluxe or Toybiz scale.

-no real scale 6 sided ring/cage/ultimate X -lack of diversity, especially the knockouts. the same figs in repaints over and over and when they did new ones they were terrible like bully ray -the legends line could have been interesting for sure, but at least one super company is finally giving us a Jim Cornette, albeit with no tennis racket -letting Dixie have a figure, or any say in running the company at all but we already know that -putting out more than the low recognition of the company was capable of compared to WWE

For me just the... LotR Scott Steiner - I had a couple of him preordered. LotR Jim Cornette
Then lastly there were two Deluxe Sting figure of Surfer Sting. I think one was Sting (green attire) and the other was Mr Kennedy as Sting (pink or purple attire) that never got released.

The fact they kept releasing Abyss in that strange, bland tank top he never wore over and over again.
They loved releasing the same guy, over and over again, but most of the time they wouldn't try to do something that would actually attract you to buying the figure.
I was always happy shelling out for a new attire of the same wrestler but I'd want to see a little bit of effort to entice me towards another version of the character.
You look at Series 11 AJ Styles, the box has a photo of AJ with bangs next to the same short haircut we've already been seeing repeated...change the head sculpt or AT LEAST choose a photo that doesn't make the figure feel dated BEFORE YOU EVEN BUY HIM.
