Why has this turned into a Roman Reigns thread? This has nothing to do with him. 99.9% chance this is money related and nothing more. Yeah but Roman Reigns isn't ready and sucks so it has to be about him. Its the new fad.

From a couple of sites. This is basically what I assumed.

From what I've read, Lesnar was upset that he gets a bigger cut of merchandise that normal wrestlers, and yet they're not putting much of his merchandise up for sale at events.
If that's true, he has a reason to be upset. Why would they snub their champion like this? So they can make a few more bucks off of selling other guy's shirts? Seems pretty petty and greedy, right up Vince's wheelhouse.

A new piece to the story is that Brock was trying to negotiate being able to fight for UFC while under contract to WWE.

It's funny that comes up because I see people accusing Lesnar of being greedy all the time. But honestly, how many times have we seen the WWE screw over talent and squeeze every last penny and ounce of blood out of these guys before kicking them to the curb? Lesnar is smart to make all of his demands and get as much money and perks as he can from Vince. Lord knows Vince would screw him over if he could. That's what he does. He walked away from the company because he wasn't happy with how he was treated and the demands expected from him. And he only came back when Vince agreed to pay him a kings ransom and meet his demands. Honestly, more wrestlers should do it. I know people seem to think that all wrestlers should just be happy to be wrestling at all and should practically do it for free for "the love of the sport" but that's ludicrous. The WWE deserves the same amount of loyalty that they show their wrestlers, which is none.

If Brock Lesnar squeezes them for every dime and screws them, it's Brock Lesnar.

WWE probably tried to low ball him on a new contract. Because business is not good and the WWE Network is losing money, despite WWE's propaganda, they do not, and never did have 1 million ACTIVE subscribers (unless it was a free trail month). WWE is counting everyone that has EVER subscribed, even those who have cancelled and are not currently active.
They pay Brock Lesnar a LOT to do very very very very little, and it's probably not worth it to them anymore. He can't be drawing that much, since he's never there, paying him that much money is almost a waste. So they probably either tried to sign him to a contract with less dates (which means less money), or less money per date, which is also less money in Lesnar's pocket.
He was probably upset and them offering him less than he's currently making. So he stormed out.

So WWE's profit last year was 3 million. That's not good.

At the time of the announcement, they had a million active subscribers. WWE made 553 million last year. Their cost was 550 million. So WWE's profit last year was 3 million. That's not good. False. WWE's proft last year was not three million. They didn't make a profit last year, they lost about thirty million.

False. WWE hit one million cumulative subscribers months ago. At the time of the announcement, they had a million active subscribers. Source? Meltzer and WWE investor conference calls. Day after WrestleMania 30: 667k subscribers Between then and June 30: Added 161,000 subscribers... Lost 128, 000. Cumulative total: 828,000 From July 1 to September 30: 286,000 new orders... 255,000 cancellations. Cumulative total subscribers: 1.1 million. That was at the end of September. Not at the end of January. At the time of the announcement, the active US total was 870,000 and the active international total was 131,000.

I didn't know that they specified. I read the press release that WWE put out, and it was really vague and didn't give any numbers or info on if it was active or cumulative.
