What are some of your top missed opportunity storylines or feuds that you think WWE missed out on?

Nexus.
They effed it up so bad that I quit watching for several months out of disgust.
It could've been one of the best things ever.

Nexus had no future. They where all green as grass. It worked out much better now. Better characters came from it later.
The entire story of Jeff winning the MITB in 2008 because his dumbass got busted for drugs again.

Back in 2003 when the LOD returned one night for Raw and they faced Kane and RVD and not the Dudley Boyz.

Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan. Would've been such a cool Wrestlemania moment.

Bret vs Sting vs Goldberg the WCW championship in 1998, AFTER sting destroyed the NWO with a clean win over Hogan at Starrcade

Not sure why they never went through with the idea of Luger and Hart in the WWF. I think it was WrestleMania 9 they talked about Bret Hart getting knocked out by Lex Luger. Curious as to why they never went through with that.
I also agree with LOD vs. Dudley Boyz. That would have been historic if nothing else.

DDP vs The Rock, People's Champion vs People's Champion during the Invasion. This. Stalker DDP was such a miscast. Putting the WWF Title on Mr. Perfect in 1993 Vader not winning the WWF Title at SummerSlam 1996 Raven's Seven Deadly Sins Keeping Daniel Bryan out of the WrestleMania 31 main event Scott Steiner getting a singles run in 1994 That's all I can think of right now.

just a few I ALWAYS say......
1995:
Bam Bam should have beaten RR in the final of the KOTR and feuded with Diesel through Summerslam.
Jeff Jarrett should have been Lawler's representative against Bret at Summerslam.
1996:
Vader......I can say no more. Devastating use of this great big man.
1997:
Undertaker should have beaten Vader for the WWF title at WM13. Sid should have wrestled Mankind on the undercard. Also a better effort should have been made to retain Sid in 1997.
the main event of IYH:DX should have been HBK vs Owen. people like to fantasy book Owen winning here but it was never going to happen as they weren't going to break HBKs title reign. However Owen should have feuded with HBK up until IYH DX and been cost the match by HHH. A great performance here could've raised Owens stock and then maybe he could have had a great outing in the RR.
Stings return and misuse.......there's an entire thread on this
Bret Hart in WCW 1998.....
Goldberg not being booked to get his revenge after Starrcade 1998/Fingerpoke of Doom....FOD did TREMENDOUS damage but Goldberg getting his revenge could have stitched that would. Instead we got the "bad hip gang" in a feud where they couldn't control the crowd reaction.......YAY.
Public Enemy should've been utilised better in WWF.
The Invasion......Vince and his cretin daughter(alongside MANY others)let ego rule the roost here and blew a storyline that could've went YEARS in 6 months. actually they blew it by Summerslam 2001 when they turned the alliance in the J.O.B. Squad version 2.0. Also.....Austins heel turn. Jesus Vince.....whet the hell were you thinking.
Goldberg not winning the title at Summerslam 2003......mind boggling. The fact that this decision often gets defended on here makes me question humanity.
The Road Warriors not being booked against the Dudley's in 2003.
Evolution should have been rebuilt after Batista left. Jindrak & Cade should have been recruited and the faction continued. It worked creating Orton and Batista....with the same strong booking? Jindrak & Cade would've been made.
The Nexus....this faction had so much potential.....
I have more....but I cant think of them off the bat.

A great performance here could've raised Owens stock and then maybe he could have had a great outing in the RR. I've never been a giant Owen fan, but that moment when he violently knocked HBK off the apron from behind was Owen's moment. That was the first time I saw him as main event, and it went no where. He instantaneously shed all the goofy stuff in that moment and made me feel like he was a threat to HBK. Actually the time between Austin and that spot was the window for him. In general I always feel like a lot of the roster around 87-92 didn't have all the possibilities fleshed out with Rude, Perfect, Roberts, Savage, Steamboat. Any of them vs each other. Always wanted to see more Jake Roberts and Undertaker too. The other big one to me is that I was so disappointed that HBK and Hart were gone once Austin got to the top. I wanted to see more Hart vs Austin, Hart vs HBK and HBK vs Austin, not Vince. He's always been hilarious to watch, but he's no Hart or HBK, and I felt like I just watched a lot of it with Bischoff. Also Kurt Angle leaving, guy was incredible. And of course Ultimate Maniacs. Wanted more OWN too, don't care what anyone says. lol

Them not turning Owen into a main event player was just as big of a f*ck up as WCWs handling of Bret. It was so easy.

They really ed up with the potential Goldberg vs the Flock angle they had in WCW available to them. Raven finally won the US Title at the end of his awesome feud with DDP, and then they uselessly fed him to Goldberg the next night. They could have gotten two PPV matches out of that feud by feeding Saturn to Goldberg and then Raven but there was absolutely no chase for Goldberg. He just ran Raven over like it was any other night. Bullsh*t. WCW had no clue what they were doing with Goldberg. Dumb luck. Beyond intellectually- disabled booking. That would be a theme in Goldberg's career, obviously. Owen not winning the title at Survivor Series 1994. Bob Backlund sucked and really had no business even holding the title at that point. Diesel could have beat Owen at Rumble 95. I know Bret and Diesel had a great match at Rumble but they had a great one at SvS 95 too. I would have easily traded Owen winning for that Rumble match. Someone else, Razor Ramon, should have won KOTR 95 too, my God. Scott Steiner not working heel when he made his 2002 return to WWE...

Okay mine is a lil more recent but bare with me.
The night that Bryan & Bray took on the Usos in the steel cage. If you recall the newly returned Kane who was now corporate Kane booked the match. I would have LOVED for Kane to have kept the keys to the door. And as soon as the bell rings Bryan, Jimmy, & Jey start beating the hell out of Bray. The Usos prevent Bray from escaping while Bryan extracts his revenge. Kane on the outside keeps Harper & Rowan at bay while refusing to give the keys to any officials.
That way Bryan gets his face turn (which he did later in the match anyhow). The Usos get revenge. And Kane gets revenge for the Wyatt's attacking and kidnapping him. Would have made more sense then the way the match was booked and Bryan would have looked as if the whole thing was planned from the beginning.

Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - Wrestlemania X8
Historically speaking, The Rock was not on their level. Such a shame we never got to see it. A true "icon vs. icon" or "once in a lifetime" kind of event.
Also, I think Flair vs. Hogan would have worked just fine at Wrestlemania 8, but of course Vince didn't.
