UPDATE SO I just needed a better way to display my new craft the turnbuckle pad. So i sewed 2 more, made a ring post (or 2) and strung up some ropes. OVer all I am pleased. You may noticed that my new pads are a bit different. They are closer to high spot's measurments but I don't like them as much. I used 3 inch foam instead of 4 due to cost. The top turnbuckle is my original one the bottom 2 have the thicker foam. Let me know which you like better?    Hi Guys Been a while since I have posted something new. Been busy with recent move, orders etc. I have for some time wanted to make a full size Turnbuckle pad and finally got around to giving it a try. I am pleased with the results. I have learned some things and would do some things different for next time i make one to improve it. IF anyone has actually purchased a ring used turnbuckle pad PM me. I could use some measurements to get mine closer to the real deal. Let me know your thoughts:   |

for added realism, I'd add the holes and brass rings. How would this tie over the buckle currently?
It's pretty badass though. what kind of price point would you be looking at for one of these?

Yeah some day I would like to get the tools to put the gromets in that way they could really be tied on. But that will be a process for antoher day. Um I think I could do one for like 30. Also i do grommet work and you can buy the kits in Walmart by the Tarps for $5.00 and you can get the replacment gromets (1000+) for around 20$ on ebay just an FYI. its very easy and takes just a few minutes. |

Thanks for the info. I'll do that and take them to the next level. I want to get some off white matterial for the back when I make my next more acurate batch. They will be proper sized to. Mine was just eye balled. |
