I know that they both had some TTL realscan versions, but did either have a RA style release?

Billy Gunn was released in Adrenaline Series 4 with Torrie Wilson. Road Dogg was never released in RA form. Both got released as toy biz figures during the RA run under TNA's line.

You can use a TTL head and buy some Ralphs for a Road Dogg.

Without knowing for sure, I would have sworn that I had seen a Classic Superstars Road Dogg, despite knowing he and BG were in TNA at the time which prevented it. I would've absolutely loved a CS NAO.
The RA Billy Gunn is pretty bad. The scan stinks and is too small. The attire is all right however.

I think there was also a "Bring The Noise" Billy Gunn, but it used that same awful headscan, that I believe was RA Style ?

There was only ever one RA Billy Gunn figure (as mentioned by 3Lephant (Naptown Icon)). Road Dogg never had an RA or CS figure. Adrenaline Series 4 Billy Gunn isn't even worth a glance as it was a totally uninspired effort on the part of Jakks. It doesn't even have any designs on the back of the trunks. |

I'm pretty sure in that same series they released a Rhyno/"Al Snow" 2 pack with Rhyno having his R3 head as well.
Were there any more R3 heads used besides this one series?

Oh yeah, I remember the Hogan. Was it just the one in the belt pack with the Huklamania shirt? And I think you might be mistaken on the Nash, if I recall correctly he was in RA 5 and had a new RA head

The Hulk R3 head was used as you say, I think from one of those special collector's boxes (like the one that had Spike Dudley in TTL form, with yellow cargo pants). The Classic Series Hollywood Hogan with the red NWO shirt from series 12(?) also had that head. On topic, they were both in TNA after the CS started so it was a shame. I did get fooled into believing there was a 2 pack of them coming out in CS packaging by a very talented customiser. Wish I'd save the image, but they looked real, unless I'm fabricating it. Still don't want to buy the Mattel Elite versions since they won't fit in the rest of my collection of TTLs and RAs. |

I have an amazing Billy Gunn fix up. -AD Billy Gunn -The Brian Kendrick Boots -FF head. -KOTR BG Kneepads (just for the patterned lips, I rubbed the crowns off so it matched, they never made Pink Kneepads with lis on unfortunately)  It's possibly my favourite figure. The picture doesn't do it justice. |
