PCW WrestleFest kicked off LIVE from a totally packed Toronto Sky Dome. The crowd was ready for the great action in the night to come, and they were 100% live. As the late Gorilla Monsoon would say, they were hanging from the rafters for this one!
In the first match of the evening, we saw a 3 way, with three young guys, each making their Pay Per View debut, and what a stage to do it on. Twister, Ultimo Eagle, and Tygon stepped into the ring to do battle, but more importantly, catch the eyes of those in upper managment. The match itself was action packed from start to stop. It was a great way to kick off this huge event, but which young man was able to pull the victory out?
In the second match of the evening, we saw the returning Hawk, formerly known as Hardcore Hawk, take on The Quintastic One, who himself has been opening eyes all over the wrestling world as of late... Rest assured that this match caught the eyes of many, and it is definitly going to lead to good things for the winner...
The night continued, with a huge Ultimate Tables match as Pyro tried to finally put an end to Hazard X. The object was simple. You had to be the first to put your oppnet through 5 tables, and there was no loss of wood in this one... Was Pyro finally able to put Hazard X in his place? Or did Hazard X establish dominance over Pyro?
Next up we had the Last Man Standing match between Crystal Starr and The Ayster to determine the vacant North American Championship, loeft vacant in the wake of Hardcore Marcus' departure. This match was nothing short of brutal, and both of these competitors gave it their all, but it wasnt the match that got everyones attention, it was the man who inserted himself into the match in the end that turned all the heads... This is an event that shook PCW down to its very core. Be sure to check out who made an un-official PCW debut!
Next up we had the match that was for the bag of marbles. Jack Stantz and Alex Buker teamed up to face John Waylon and Rosco P Coltraine in a tag team match for total control of PCW. The bad blood in this match surely made it interesting. Each teams individuals has a storried history with the other, and this match was nothing short of a brawl. Was Jack Stantz able to pull out a victory, permenantly securing green lining for his pockets, or was John Waylon and Rosco able to put the power-hungry Stantz out of business for good? Check the results!
The next matchup on the card was the one with the most emotion behind it, as The Origional Legend The Outlaw stepped into the ring one last time against the super talented Mark Tate. The Texas Terror Outlaw, made his return at Bad Blood Rising, attacking Mark Tate. The Outlaw knew he was going to hang his boots up after WrestleFest, and he wanted to go out with a win over a future legend. Was The Outlaw able to go out on top and solidify his name as the top name for generations to come, or did Mark Tate have what it took to finally put an end to The Outlaw's illustrious career?
Next up we saw the World Heavyweight Championship defended, as MattMan, the winner of that hellacious Brawl For All match, finally stepped into the ring oposite World Heavyweight Champion, H20. MattMan had never been more focused than he was in the ring that night, but across the board H20 was in the best shape he has ever been in. Did MattMan have what it took to finally realize his dream and become World Heavyweight Champion, or was H20 able to wash him away? Check the results to find out!
The main event of the evening saw the most unforgiving match type in PCW to date as Michael Lucifer stepped into the cell to do battle with Hatework for the coveted Extreme Championship. The match type was something right out of the demented mind of Michael Lucifer... Escape from hell is a simple concept: a hell in a cell, with ladders place about the ring. The object is to be the first to get out of the cell, through a door in the ceiling, and be the first to the floor. And what an envrioment for these two to do battle in... As long as PCW has been around, this match has been ta;lked about. Fans have long wondered who would win if Hatework and Michael Lucifer were to step into the ring... When their paths crossed in the Brawl For All match, fans knew it would only be a matter of time before the men clashed. Was Michael Lucifer able to stop the invincable Hatework, or was the big monster able to put a stop to the man who vowed to bring him Perfect Vengence?
This was the biggest night in PCW history. It saw legends leaving, invaders invading, and each competitor give it their all in a show that lived up to, and exceeded its expectations... Be sure to check out the full results here!
