Okay, hear me out.
I like Erick Rowan. I think he's improved a lot, and he looks badass too. But, watching Survivor Series 04 last night, I had an idea..
What if Erick Rowan was used like Heidenreich? Obviously, the Heidenreich character didn't work out too well, mainly because the actual Heidenreich wasn't the best in the ring, but I have a feeling it might work with Rowan. Insane, violent, psychotic tough guy who kicks ass in the ring, but reads poetry outside of it. I think it could work well.

I feel that the Wyatt family should be reunited.......straight away. Harper & Rowan especially would benefit from it. I would also add Bo Dallas to the mix as the super psychotic younger brother of Bray

I'd like Rowan to steal the short lived Mike Knox gimmick where he knew how and where to hit you that caused max pain. Have him know specific bones and nerves that cause temporary paralysis.

A lot of great Rowan ideas in this thread.
I like Eric Rowan. I think he needs a mouthpiece. If I were booking wrestling, I'd make him Kane's bastard son. Kane would see the monster inside himself inside Rowan and try to socialize him the same way the Authoriy has socialized Kane. Whenever Kane turns his back though, Rowan would go on a rampage. Eventually Kane would just give up and they'd form a monster tag team.

The sheer amount of successful big men in the history of the industry whom you could easily make comparisons for Erick Rowan to have a bright future ...

Imo, they've missed the boat so far on him. With the sheep mask, and his somber strangeness-- Rowan could be the next Mankind. Have him sit in the basement of the arena or boiler room, delivering a soliloquy. Make him the quiet, bizarre, self-harming (but less dark, different era here) character that won over the fans. I mean, TNA was successful for the most part following the same blueprint with Abyss. WWE hasn't had a sick, tortured face character in a good long while. Plus, then he wouldn't have to do his weird sneering as he talks about hating bullies.

Erick Rowan is someone I am legitimately interested in as a superstar, but am watching the WWE completely ruin. First...those logos on his coveralls are atrocious. Second...when is the last time the guy won a match...or was even made to look strong in a losing effort? They damage his big man credibility by making him lay down every match. How is "Tonight, you're going to face...ERICK ROWAN!" supposed to strike any sort of fear into anyone when he's been made to be a joke? Give the guy some wins, a few vignettes, maybe a run-in to save a face in peril? There's gotta be SOMETHING...

I just wished Rowan and Harper and won the Tag Titles from the Usos, they really should have won the 2/3 falls match. |

It seemed like they were going to make him a unique character with many different layers and then they just...stopped.
He was supposed to a big, weird guy who was really smart and stuff.
Now he's just generic big guy #17.

Rowan is one of the slowest guys I've ever seen. He's going to struggle to stay there much longer. Shame though as I liked him as part of the Wyatt Family.
