The Game
Triple H, Randy Orton, Shane McMahon, Monty Brown, & Chris Masters
VS.
The Players
Vin Diesel, Ron Simmons, Bruce Kemp, Theo Nagel, & Diamond Dallas Page
DDP jumps into the mix against Brown and gets beat on for his trouble. Brown tags in Randy Orton who keeps the advantage. Orton out wrestles the veteran and keeps telling the crowd he is going to kill this so-called legend. DDP hits a Diamond Cutter when Orton goes for a clothesline. DDP ducks and swings around to hit the move. Orton is down but not out. DDP is too beat up to cover right away so Orton kicks out. DDP picks up Orton and beats on him some. He goes for the Diamond Cutter again but this time Orton swings out and jumps high to hit his version called the Equalizer. He covers and eliminates DDP.
Later in the match Shane and Vin Diesel are battling and go to the outside. Shane rolls to the inside after Brown begins to beat on the action star. He distracts the ref while Brown pulls Vin onto the announce table. Shane spots what is going on and goes to the top. Unfortunately, as he is coming off Vin pulls Brown into his place and Shane plants an elbow through Brown and the table. Vin picks up Shane and tosses him into the ring and sets him between his legs. He lifts him on his back then grabs his leg and swings him over for a reverse version of the F-5 he calls the Mack Truck. He covers and eliminates Shane. He brings Monty Brown into the match and the two go at it for a few minutes. Brown picks up a slight advantage and goes for the Pounce. However, Vin scouted this move and hits a Big Boot when Brown comes off the ropes. The fans explode for this move. Vin tags in Bruce who loses the advantage quickly. Brown goes for the Pounce again but this time instead of the big boot or the finish, Kemp turns and flips him into his Power Slam called the Kruel Intentions. He covers for the elimination.
Kemp is pumped as he gets up however, he doesn’t see Orton sneaking up behind him. He leaps in the air as Bruce turns around and nails an Equalizer. Orton tags Triple H in and he picks up Kemp. He locks up his arms and literally lifts him off the mat before leap up and drilling him down with a devastating Pedigree. He covers for the elimination. We are now down to two on two.
Vin comes in and locks up with the Game. The two go at it and even take the fight to the outside. However, Triple H takes the advantage out here. He sends him back into the ring and has Orton distract the ref. He pulls the Sledge Hammer into the ring and nails Vin. He tosses the hammer out and hits another Pedigree to leave the rookie, Theo Nagel all alone. Nagel shoots a double leg takedown and begins hammering away on the Game. The two roll around on the mat then Nagel gets up and waits on Triple H. He locks him in a front face lock and hits a suplex. Then he picks him back up but instead of another suplex he spins around and hits the Nagelator neck breaker. It is a standing version of the American Roll in Freestyle Wrestling. He rolls right on top of him with a half nelson and lifts his head smashing his shoulders into the mat. The ref drops for the count. Orton drops and elbow to break the hold.
Triple H and Nagel wrestle a bit more but Nagel is too technically sound for the Game. Triple H tags out as soon as he gets a moment and Orton comes in to test the Great Technician. Orton doesn’t do much better as Nagel hits a series of suplexes, each one different. He hits a German, snap, side, and even a T-bone. He ends the series off with an off the ropes overhead belly-to-belly. Orton is in trouble and he knows it. He rolls to the outside quickly. The rookie makes his mistake as he follows him out only to get double teamed by Triple H and Orton. They dominate him with the steps and railing. He is rolled back inside and Orton finally sends him into the ropes. He swings around behind him with a clothesline to hit his favorite neck and back breaker move. Much like, Deacon Frost’s finisher. However, Orton is only setting him up. He waits for him to get up then nails an Equalizer. He covers for the count. One, two, SHOULDER UP!!! Theo Nagel has got his shoulder up. Orton is angry now and tags in the Game. Triple H hits not one, not two, but three Pedigrees then covers for the count of three and the match. The survivors are Randy Orton and Triple H.
Women’s Championship – Survivor Rules
Trish Stratus, Natylynn, Nidia, Janessa Reign – champion
VS.
Ecstasy, Jade Hart, Angelika, Valandra
The first elimination went to Natylynn who was eliminated by Jade Hart with a Sharpshooter. Unfortunately, she was attacked right at the bell. Nidia took the advantage for her team and kept Jade cornered. After many quick tags, Trish eliminates Jade Hart with a Stratusfaction. Trish welcomes Valandra into the match with a back drop then a chick kick. She tags in Janessa who dominates the rookie. Valandra has much potential and Janessa has scouted this. She keeps her grounded with head locks and many other wear-down tactics. Unfortunately, Valandra is able to secure a blind tag to Angelika and the tides quickly turn. Angelika shows great power against the champion and dominates her with that. She quickly turns violent and takes the fight to the outside. Angelika punishes the champion with blows to the steel post and steps. She even brings a chair into it but the ref stops her from using it.
Janessa Reign tries to regain an advantage against Angelika when she comes back in. She begins to stomp on her but nothing stops her. She gets to her feet then picks the champ up and slams her back across her knee. She picks her up and flings her by the hair sending her into the ring post. She picks her up and sends her into the ropes then hits a Northern Lights Suplex on her as she comes back. She picks up the three count and eliminates the champion. What that elimination means now is that there will indeed be a NEW Women’s Champion tonight.
The match continues and Angelika gets out of her onslaught mode and tags in Valandra. Trish and Valandra wrestle for a bit until out of nowhere Trish hits a chick kick as Valandra comes at her from the ropes. Trish covers and eliminates the lovely Valandra. Ecstasy gets in the ring and tangos with Trish but ends up on the losing battle on that one. She reaches for the tag to Angelika and the fans are shocked when she drops off the apron and leaves her partner to the mercy of Trish and Nidia. She leaves to a house full of boos.
Ecstasy is forced to rally back against Nidia. She hits some outstanding high flying moves which pay off eventually. She hits a nice one handed cartwheel and lands a nice sitting clothesline on Nidia to pick up the last elimination. Now it is Ex against Trish for the Women’s Championship. Ex showcases more high flying moves from the top rope and from the ropes in general. Unfortunately, she screws up when she hits a moonsault then goes for a second. Trish obviously didn’t get hit with all of it and Ex knew this. She went up for another but Trish crawled up and hit the ropes. She then hit a back Super-plex on her and picked up the victory and the Women’s Championship.
Tag Team Championship
The Empire’s Team
(The Rock & Zeus)
VS.
Van Randall
(Vance & Spence)
The Rock and Zeus came into this match looking for their second run with the gold. Many felt they had it going for them as well. They dominated the match against the smaller and younger Van Randall brothers. Zeus manhandled Spence through most of the match but lost control whenever, he would squeeze out a wrestling move out of nowhere. He hit a suplex or some kind of amateur move. Zeus would always make him pay for that afterwards.
Spence is able to tag in Vance and the match appears to go to their side. However, the Rock stops their momentum and dominates the bigger Van Randall. He is able to hit a Rock Bottom but doesn’t cover. Instead he goes to the outside and brings a chair into the match. Spence grabs the chair and tries to keep him from bringing it in. Zeus fires a devastating clothesline out of nowhere to floor him. The Rock goes for a chair shot right in front of the ref but Vance gets to his feet and out of nowhere shoots a single leg and lifts him up and over his head for a side suplex. The Rock panics the whole way up and drops the chair only to land right on it as he comes down. The fans explode and Zeus is only beating on the smaller Van Randall on the outside. He doesn’t see Vance cover the Rock and take the Tag Team Championships.
Wild Card Match
Viper, Kane Hodder, Skull, Rob Van Dam, & Maven
VS.
Jeff Jarrett, Jeff Hardy, 8-ball, Deacon Frost, & Goldust
The match continues with Deacon Frost and Maven in the middle of the ring. The two go at it for sometime with the advantage not being squarely held by either. Unfortunately, Maven thinks he has the match well in-hand and goes for a moonsault. Deacon Frost catches him and power slams him in order to eliminate the youth. RVD comes in and begins to work over the vampire. He has full advantage when Frost finally gets the tag to Goldust. Goldust takes the advantage briefly only to be eliminated when he misses a clothesline from the top. RVD goes up and hits a five-star Frog Splash to oust Goldust. RVD tags out to Viper. Viper works over Hardy pretty well. He is going for his finisher when all of a sudden Hodder tags in and begins to work on Hardy. Viper later tags in with a blind tag and Hodder and Viper have a stare down. The match continues until eventually Hodder goes to trip up Hardy who now has the advantage but instead trips up Viper. Viper slides out and begins to shove Hodder. RVD tries to intervene but the two push him out of the way and begin to brawl on the outside. The ref counts out Hodder and Viper out right leaves RVD while battling Hodder to the back. RVD is all alone against Hardy, Jarrett, and Frost.
Jeff Hardy jumps back into the fray against RVD. The two high flyers put on quite a show. Hardy hits a twist of fate towards the end of their fight and goes up for a Swanton Bomb. Unfortunately, RVD moves in the nick of time then goes up to the top and comes off with a devastating Five-star Frog Splash. RVD hooks the leg for the elimination. RVD is still on an uphill battle against Jarrett and Frost. Jarrett comes in and battles it out with RVD for a while. RVD is dominating against the “team captain”. Jarrett goes to the outside and baits RVD to follow him. Deacon Frost takes him out due to this act. Frost beats on him while Jarrett waits for a count out. However, RVD fights back and gets back in the ring just before the count of ten.
Rob Van Dam beats on Jarret some more then hits a rolling thunder and goes to the top. Frost forces him to straddle the top rope. Jarrett tags out and Frost goes up and brings RVD off with a devastating Super-plex. He brings Double J in and the two doubleteam him. The ref can’t stop them when Frost has Jarrett hoist him up. He hits a clothesline and swings around for his devastating neck and back breaker. He drops and nails the hold after Jarrett lets him go. He covers for the count and victory in the Wild Card match. After the match Deacon begins to beat on Jarrett and the fans have no idea why. He leaves Jarrett and raises his own hands in victory.
The Empire
Lord Crash, NEMESIS, Brock Lesnar, Scott Steiner, & Christian
VS.
The Grudge
Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Goldberg, Booker T., & Shane Douglas
NEMESIS was over anxious and none of his teammates bothered to stop him. He stepped in and dominated Booker in a matter of seconds. He finished him with a T-slam and eliminated him. He waited on the next victim and that’s exactly what he was a victim. Chris Benoit came in and attempted to wrestle with the big man but was unable to keep that up for long. He made and unfortunate mistake after taking him down several times. He locked up with him. He had nowhere near enough strength to match up with him. He was quickly tossed into the corner and pummeled for his troubles. He was nailed with a T-slam and pinned as well. Goldberg came in with something to prove. He tried to match strength with the monster but was unsuccessful as well. However, he was able to take him off his feet with a devastating Spear. He tried for a Jack Hammer but the big man was too much to put up. NEMESIS quickly grasped his throat and picked him up off his feet. He clenched the fist in his other hand and nailed him in the chest and finished him with a T-slam just as the previous three. He covered and eliminated him.
Who was ever going to stop him? Shane Douglas came in next and quickly ducked the big clothesline. He quickly shot a single leg takedown that we have not seen him use ever. He tripped him and began beating on him while he was down. NEMESIS powered out and practically stood the Franchise up when he pushed him off of him. Douglas went for another amateur move but the big man plowed him down. He didn’t pick him up. Instead he roared to the crowd, which only offered Douglas time to tag in Bret. Bret came in next and tried the same tactics against the monster. It appears to work but NEMESIS quickly gets angry and powers out of a headlock and tosses him to the side while coming up to his feet. He picks him up and sends him into the corner. Christian tags in and begins to take full advantage of Bret’s incapacitated state. NEMESIS is angry but doesn’t do anything. He goes to the outside and waits next to his partner, Lord Crash, who is keeping his distance.
Christian actually does quite well with Bret being hurt. He almost eliminates him with an Unprettier but Bret kicks out just in time. Bret tags in Douglas and Christian runs away and tags Lord Crash. LC and the Franchise go at it for sometime. Douglas hits a Belly-to-Belly and covers but Christian breaks up the count. LC attempts a Crash Bomb but Bret comes in and clotheslines him to the canvas. That causes everyone to come in. NEMESIS clears the ring quickly. He plows through everyone including his partners. He picks both Bret and Shane up and choke slams them. He roars and picks up Douglas then nails a vicious T-slam. Lord Crash rolls into the ring while NEMESIS is beating on Bret in the corner and covers. The ref makes the count and eliminates him. NEMESIS tosses Bret over his shoulder and to the canvas. NEMESIS roars and Christian tries to stop him. NEMESIS beats the crap out of Christian and clotheslines him over the top rope to the outside. He follows and keeps beating on him. Meanwhile, Lord Crash takes this time to hit a Crash Bomb and eliminate Bret Hart from the match proclaiming Christian, NEMESIS, and himself the survivors of the match. He leaves the arena and doesn’t even bother to help Christian who gets beat to the back.
Heavyweight Championship
Adam Bomb VS. Kurt Angle - champion
The match begins with two huge entrances. Bomb of course comes out first. He lifts his hands in the air and makes the explosion sign then all of a sudden a huge bomb explosion takes place by the entrance area with a mushroom cloud coming off of it. It is spectacular and the fans went nuts over it. Kurt came out next and was pumped. He threw his hands in the air and his huge pyro explosion takes place. He looks focused and ready to take Adam Bomb apart.
Kurt relinquished his title to the ref who then showed Adam Bomb. Bomb stared longingly at the title then put his hands together and pressed down on it real quick then pushed away. He turned into the corner and appeared to get focused on the match at hand. The bell rang and Bomb came to the center and put his hand out. Kurt looked confused but still shook his hand. Bomb backed off and the match began. He circled and the two tied up. They struggled with each other until Angle shot a single leg. Bomb quickly got to the ropes to break the hold. They circled and locked up again. Bomb powered Angle down to the canvas this time around. Angle had a mixed look between upset and intense. He got to his feet and circled again. The two tied up once more time and struggled to the corner. The ref stepped in and broke the hold. Angle backed off then punched Bomb as he came out. He sent him to the opposite corner and it was on then.
The two ensued in a seesaw match up from then on. Angle had a decisive advantage for most of the match. However, Bomb also had his stints of advantage too. Bomb had the advantage currently and was dominating Angle in the corner. He pummeled him with elbows and knees. He hip tossed him out then went to the top rope. He measured him and came off with a flying clothesline after he got to his feet. Angle was flipped backward after he hit the canvas. Bomb quickly rolled him over and hooked the leg for a two count. He locked up a headlock after the count and continued to chip away at the Undisputed Champion of the World.
Angle got to his feet and planted a few elbows into his gut to break the hold. He came off and hit the ropes then nailed him with a diving clothesline. Bomb went down and both men were down. Kurt was the first up and went for and nailed an Angle Slam. However, he hit it with such force that Bomb ended up rolling to the outside after he let him go. Bomb hit the floor with a thud. The fans went nuts and Angle had to go out after him. He picked him up but Bomb fired up with a fury of punches. Bomb slammed Angle into a ring post and planted a knee. He picked him up and set him on the announcers’ table. He got on the other announcers table and drove an elbow into Angle. However, Angle moved and Bomb went through the table himself. The two were down.
Angle got up first and broke the count. He then went under the ring for a table of his own. He set it up then picked up Bomb and whipped him into the steel steps. He slammed his head into the post as he picked him up after that. He then set him on the table and got on the apron. He measured something real quick then went up to the top turnbuckle with his back facing the table. The fans ovation began to grow all of a sudden the arena lit up with camera flashes as Kurt leapt off the top rope and flipped in the air with a moonsault right through the table, Adam Bomb just rolled off of. The arena was rumbling with “ohs” and “ahs.”
Angle was down and out. Bomb got up and broke the count. He then picked up Angle, which took him some time. He rolled him into the ring and rolled in after him. Not that Adam Bomb had to but he picked up a very dazed Angle and pump handled his arm. He hoisted him up and planted him with a Melt Down. He hooked up his leg tight and the ref hit the canvas. One…two…THREE!!!!! Adam Bomb rolled off of Angle and clutched his face with both his hands. He made fists then pushed himself to his feet. He threw his hands in the air and screamed with delight. The ref awarded him the belt just in time to hear Howard Finkel announce, “The winner of this match and NEEEEEWWWW World Wrestling Federation Champion, AAAAADAMM BOOOOOOOOOMMMB!!”
Adam Bomb clutched the belt and hugged it. He looked at it and wiped the tears from his eyes and held it up with one hand high for everyone to see. He got up on the ropes and celebrated with the fans. All of a sudden the turnbuckles lit up with pyro shooting out and the entrance area exploded with Bomb’s tradition Mushroom cloud explosions. The fans cheered for the NEW WWF Champion. Bomb went from turnbuckle to turnbuckle until he got up on all six to celebrate. He clutched the belt and threw it on his shoulder then rolled out of the ring. Adam Bomb waited a LONG time for this moment and he earned every bit of it.
