Reasonable, straight forward responses. And basically saying what several of us have been saying. If you dislike the situation, blame WWE. Don't blame Roman Reigns. He's just going out there and doing his job, as he's told to do it. He's an actor. It's not his 'fault' he got the role he did. Blame the Production company, the producers, the Directors, hell maybe even the writers...all he's doing is taking his cushy paid gig. I dig dude's answers. this is what the Reigns "supporters" don't seem to understand... That's EXACTLY why we are booing the guy and crapting all over his push. In fact I'd go out on a limb saying that MOST of the people who are booing Reigns and using the internet to vent on how boring his push is actually like Reigns and have no problems with him being a star. It's about the fact that this company is taking "superman" to an entirely new level with this guy and nobody is buying it, it's because the WWE is going OUT OF THEIR WAY to make this guy look like a million bucks while about a dozen others who work harder and who are just flat out better overall at everything (besides being samoan and being strong) are getting crap on, on a weekly basis by the very same company. The fact that most live crowds go NUTS for Dolph Ziggler, his t-shirts are everywhere, his merch flys, he's got a crap ton of twitter followers....and yet he consistently jobs out, gets made to look like a fool, has ONE big moment (SS main event) and then literally does NOTHING afterwards....hell, the way the commentators talked about that SS match it was like a second thought, second rate, "oh bTW" thing....but Reigns does one spear and its "OMG LOOK AT THE POWER OF ROOOOOMAN REIGNS! HE'S AMAZING!!!!" and Ziggler's just ONE example No, I get what you're saying, but you can't disagree that there are more than a few people who act like Roman Reigns' is going to steal their first born child. It's blown out of proportion for some people, and that's what he's saying here. It's a Production. "Did Brad Pitt deserve to play Achilles?" -- Gary Oldman is a better, more consistent actor. Should he have been Achilles instead? How about Denzel? RDJ? They're all reasonably 'better' actors. Some of which have been working longer. As I said, it's a reasonable argument. In 6 months, someone else will be champion, or challenging for the belt, and when Reigns/Ziggler headlines a PPV, people will be complaining that it's not Ambrose, or Bryan, etc. Some people are simply NEVER happy. It's scripted acting. It's make believe. It's a TV show. He's an actor; one of many. Whether or not he 'deserves' the WWEWHC is tantamount to arguing over who should have ended up with Buffy at the end of BtVS. I stick with Spike, but I understand arguments for Xander, and Angel. Hell, you could even make an argument for Faith. Just like Rollins, Ambrose, or Bryan. They're actors. |

In all seriousness, my dislike for Roman has nothing to do with him being a "darling" or not.
Not only is he being forced upon the audience with every ounce of strength WWE has, but he also comes off entitled to me. I got news for you, Roman, it isn't just the "smarks" that've turned on you - the crowds just don't give a crap about you.
Throw in that crap about "if you hate me, you hate your life", and him claiming that he created the Superman Punch... he seems very whiny, and annoyed that people everywhere aren't jizzing over him.
Honestly, they could strike oil with him as a heel... he seems like it's a natural fit for him.

Youse, Y'all, You All etc. The attitude the board in general takes to Roman Reigns is remarkably bad. He said in his interview a lot of valid stuff but people still jumped onto him acting as if he had insulted Jesus. He's doing his best to improve, and to try to get a better public image, but fans like those in this thread continue to treat him terribly for that. |

There are legitimately many people who don't like him because he's not an indy darling. There's also people who like him just because he isn't an indy darling either. I don't think either one of those groups bring anything rational to the table. |

I dont mind Roman Reigns the person/character. He definitely has a spot in the company. He is basically a 2015 Batista. A green rookie who was in a top stable that elevated him into winning the Rumble and getting a shot at the title at WM.
Here is the problem. Batista was never pushed as someone more than he was. WWE never FORCED Batista as some all time great while he was unproven and green as a singles competitor. They didnt have guys like Stone Cold and Rock come out and say " Batista, Youre better than me and every other top guy in Pro wrestling history".
This is what they are doing with Reigns and its making me despise the guy. Have him be an explosive mute who just comes down through the crowd and spear people through barricades . He will get over. Thats his spot. He isnt and will never be a face of the company. They need to put that idea in the trash can asap before it hurts this guys character even more.
And it also pisses me off that a guy like Dolph Ziggler, Who has been with the company since 2005, Is still not getting a chance as a top star. He is a modern day Shawn Michaels, Point blank. If he doesnt win the Money in the bank contract this year, I'm going to lose it.
