So I just watched it.. Tigre does the dropkick Manik and Aguayo rolls...THAT is when the injury accorded. I mean look at him. As soon as he rolled, which is very very simple, he is lost. He has trouble getting back up, the Head scissors he barely touches rey, when he hits the floor it doesn't look like a no sell it looks more like a WTF is going on lost move. PERSONALLY I believe it happens there and the Head Scissors, Dropkick, and shaking is what finished him. Super sad events. That's what I thought watching it. He does some weird roll, than a fan walks in front of the camera, then he comes up wobbly. I don't see how he possibly injured himself falling into the ropes and getting whiplash. He wasn't hit by a car, he just lightly fell onto the ropes. And there is nothing in the video that makes it look like it's Rey's fault at all.

It's hard to tell from the video...
But it really seems like he rolled wrong and that's what started it. Then when he got up to take the headscissors he wasn't all there, causing him to take the bump to the outside of the ring incorrectly, where most of the injury probably happened. He really shouldn't have climbed back in the ring, but as wrestling fans we understand the mentality these guys have - 'the show must go on.'
After he gets back in you can tell he wasn't all there. Rey dropkicks him in the shoulder but he doesn't protect himself because he's already injured.
Really no way for Rey to have known at that point anything was out of the ordinary.

What sucks is we're going to have idiots like Nancy Grace try to crucify wrestling. I hope WWE backs up Rey...it's the right thing to do.

He wasn't hit by a car, he just lightly fell onto the ropes. And there is nothing in the video that makes it look like it's Rey's fault at all. I don't really know where I think the injury occurred. The roll/tumble is a little weird and he does stumble, or drop back to his left knee before the head scissors to the outside. He rolls in and does look to be moving a little slow as he starts to get up for the dropkick to the second rope. Rey dropkicks him and he's totally out. So what really injured him? What "knocked" him out? I don't have a problem believing the dropkick is what did it, as he was still moving before hand (arguably could have been selling--even if the sequence looks odd), it is a firm (but not seeminly super hard) dropkick and the momentum does push his body 90 degrees. Before the kick he grabs the second rope to either brace himself or just gauge where he needs to bump to for the 619. He appears to be out before he hits the rope, and the momentum whilst bracing himself seems to carry him perfectly into the rope. Maybe his neck is badly tweaked on the tumble or fall to the outside (the body is weird sometimes, sometimes something so simple or small looking can cause serious damage. My boss suffered a concussion after dropping a 1-2lbs box on his head) , then the dropkick just finishes him off, or is the bigger damage after the initial tweak. I still wonder what the heck Konnan was thinking? Was it just that he thought he was knocked out so a simple shaking would bring him to? Was he freaking out and in disbelief? Regardless the actions aren't excusable. Also, I kinda get the "show must go on" with some injuries, but clearly this was way more then something small. They already stopped the action for a bit while both his partner and Rey check on him, then Konnan shakes him and then drops him to his head while pushing him around.. STOP THE MATCH. You already broke the fantasy. That match is done. Why continue with the same spot in the same place. You had one chance to give the fans a finish, which was his partner could have sold the 619 for the pin and then safely get him off the rope and get him help. There is no good reason to me why they continued. Especially in the spot with an injured/dying man.

I hate that this has become a murder case. It was a complete accident. Everybody who is slandering the wrestlers and the ref for not doing anything, How were they supposed to know? Until he didn't duck the 619, they probably thought he was selling.

If Tigre Uno were the biggest star in the match, he would be in the headlines getting the blame. Same with TJ Perkins. It's incredibly upsetting that Rey is being targeted (and potentially prosecuted if we're to believe the rumors). This was a ing accident.

I don't know anything about the Mexican legal system but it's frustrating that people who know nothing about wrestling are going to decide people's fates.

Nancy Grace is a stupid piece of chit. Whatever dumb, uninformed nonsense comes out of her mouth next will just make things worse.
Nobody should be prosecuted.
Freak accident.
End of.

Nancy Grace also has never been involved in the business and never had to witness her husband dying over a stupid stunt. Seriously, why the hell are you comparing Martha Hart to Nancy Grace?

It's wrestling? How the hell can you charge someone with this? It's an accident, not a crime. Nonsense.

I will take the risk of being banned.. Nancy Grace! She is an ambulance chaser looking for a hot story! My heart goes out to every wrestler that puts their life on the line every time they go in the ring to entertain US! Rey has been a favorite of mine for many years and yes I have bought over 10 of his mattel action figures so you can blame me for the overstocking! Please keep wrestling and doing what you do best Rey 619! My thoughts and prayers to all the Mexican and entire wrestling community for our loss this weekend!

Nancy Grace is worse than Martha Hart Yeah, no crap. Nancy Grace also has never been involved in the business and never had to witness her husband dying over a stupid stunt. Seriously, why the hell are you comparing Martha Hart to Nancy Grace? Fans get a bit selfish and delusional at times. Martha is a bit of an unfair villain for a lot of fans because of her reluctance to sign off her husbands legacy to the WWE. That said, fans have no where near as much insight to that event / are no where near as close to it. I mean Martha might (and probably does) have legitimately good reasons to avoid the WWE. We don't know her treatment immediately afterwards, we aren't privy to all the details of the event and what level of responsibility WWE holds, we don't know what her husbands views of the company were prior to his death which may have shaped her out look on his image being tied to them, etc. Basically it's not fair for people to get upset at a widow because they don't get an action figure, I would think that's common sense but...

Some of the Martha Hart hate comes from other Hart family members saying she has just become bitter. Bret himself said he felt there was no reason to reject the fans who still love Owen and want to see his matches or wear his shirts.
Back on subject, honestly the real mainstream buzz over this has cooled faster than I thought it would. Hopefully it isn't a calm before the storm and the media is just waiting for mania weekend to push stuff.

Get back OT and away from Owen & Martha Hart ASAP or this is getting locked-because fights will soon follow. One situation has ZERO to do with the other.

I think the cervical injury occurred when Perro charged Rey (whom had his legs extended)in the corner way too hard, causing his head to snap back, Perro flipped backwards and then went into the awkward forward roll, and the awkward headsccissors to the outside where he took his usual outside bump but you could tell he was going through something as he rolled in and took the dropkick to setup for the 619, but upon impact with the ropes he lost consciousness
