It's a real sign of the times that there's video everywhere on this. In 1999 when Owen Hart died, if anyone was recording it, then it certainly never ended up online (thank god). It's really not good. I wouldn't wish seeing that upon anyone else. RIP

HOW in the hell can they possibly want to try someone for manslaughter?! they absolutely should be trying someone for manslaughter, but not Rey. When it's CLEAR he's injured and unconscious, why is Konnan there VIOLENTLY SHAKING him? at one point, he literally grabs Perro by the head and is shaking his head around. Considering Perro died of a neck injury, Konnan absolutely could have contributed to it if he was just unconscious. It wasn't the rope, either. It was the stiff Joshi dropkick from Rey that got him. Pretty sure it broke his nose too unless that was from earlier, because his nose was pretty splattered and bloody. Rey kicked him right in the face and his head snapped pretty badly. He was already limp by the time he hit the ropes. Konnan and Rey will likely both be tried.

I would assume an investigation is just necessary but I'm not a lawyer. Probably just looking into maybe negligence or something like that on Rey's part, but I can't see him being convicted of anything, it was a real freak.

To be fair, when someone has a potential neck injury or concussion, and they are passed out, you do NOT start shaking them to try and revive them. You stop the match and get medical help. I doubt Rey is in any trouble, the promotion doesn't apprer to have handled it correctly however.

I doubt anyone knew what was happening because of his ability to get back in the ring seconds before, then they must have thought he was just getting ready for the 619 for a bit. It's not too surprising people didn't act with the urgency they needed to at first. The most they probably thought was that he got KOd somehow. I think most people know not to move someone with a neck injury now, don't they? Especially in a business like wrestling.

Yeah.. Rey shouldn't be prosecuted. It's not his fault that Perro hit the ropes wrong and got whiplash. It was a freak accident.

If YOU watch the footage, you'd see Perro bleeding from the nose or eye area while Konnan shakes him, from Rey's stiff kick. I'm not sure it's 100% Rey's fault because Perro seemed a bit loopy already from the spill to the floor, but the kick 100% is what knocked him out. He was limp before he hit the ropes.

How the can Rey be charged with anything? It was a freak accident. That basic move was apart of Reys moveset during WWE, Who are known to be SUPER tame when it comes to allowing certain moves to be used in comparison to some other companies. Its not like he grabbed a chair and bashed his head in 20 times. Konnon shaking him like a rag doll probably did the most damage, It was CLEARLY a neck issue, Also aswell as the ref who stood there like an idiot and not doing anything. I feel super bad for Rey. This is going to eat him alive.

IT looked like a combination of so many things. The kicks, the head sciccors, the fall to the outside, the rope whiplash, or the shaking from Konan. And yes, as another poster stated, he coulda just been unconcious or had spine trauma or even a partially severed spine. Too much unknown to even begin to know how or when to respond. so sad

Main stream media already picking this up. It's a story on ESPN.com and everyone's slandering wrestling and Rey in it. What a surprise..
