We are all aware of how expensive some figures can be on the secondary market. For example Arn and Tully, Yoko, and E12 Kane are all high dollar. We have since seen rereleases of these figs. High prices suggest high demand and short supply.I wonder if MDT was influenced by the secondary market.

Ya know pArt of me likes when they rerelease a figure I missed out on but then part of me hates it bc it devalues the hobby. I know you aren't suppose to collect for the sake of making money or what not but once in a while it's nice to have a figure that is worth more than you paid and not pennies on the dollar of what you paid.

Apparently the Nash/Hall battle pack is coming soon too. If true, that's definitely a purchase from me. Kevin Nash's Elite is hardly ever on eBay, let alone for anything less than £80.

What will keep that arn and tully high money pullers are the classic tag titles. Until they're released again, I can't see the price going too much lower.

I don't think the secondary market plays into Mattel's business model. A lot has to do with contracts as well as the growth of the overall product. 2010 was a transition period for wrestling figures. Many fans hated it. That's why early DMs, Legends, and elite rings were found at Big Lots.

I know you aren't suppose to collect for the sake of making money or what not but once in a while it's nice to have a figure that is worth more than you paid and not pennies on the dollar of what you paid. Ya I think that way about Tully Blanchard. I think Mattel shouldn't of done that one again. Those figures add value to the line and also make you realize that if you don't buy a figure when you see it you might not get another chance to get that particular character which helps Mattel and the overall health of the line IMO. It's my belief that some people only wanted to see Tully again because he was rare and hard to get. They didn't really want Tully Blanchard in their collection they just wanted a " rare" figure and were mad that others had it and they weren't willing to pay the price to get one when they sometimes appeared on Ebay. But it wont be rare when its re-released. I understand everyone gets into this line at different times but IMO it's your responsibility to get caught up not Mattel's job to give you the rare ones you missed or wouldn't buy the first time around by releasing similar or the same version again. Kind of a reward to those that were there from the start and who are responsible for the line continuing to this day. NOW... having said that I don't think that is the reason they released Tully again. He along with the other Horsemen are simple with very little deco and the horsemen set is a budget set. None of the 4 figures have had a retail release as well. Yokozuna and Kane were bound to get more figures it was just a matter of time. Nash will no doubt get another. But yes I would like to see some rare ones it is cool to have those pieces in a line.

We need a new, and better elite debut Kane.
Equipped with shiny boots and a new and improved scan. Like yesterday.

This is an interesting topic. We have yet to see if the newer releases of Tully and Yoko will drive down the prices of the originals. So far with the WM Kane, I haven't noticed it make a difference on the E12 Kane value. So although it's another great chance for collectors who missed out the first time to get these figures in their collection, I'm not sure it'll drive the value of the originals down.
My hope is that everybody could win from it. Value stays high on the originals, but at least collectors have a chance to get their favorite wrestlers in their collection.

I'm fine with the 4H Tully, but if and when I get around to picking up Yokozuna, I want the classic red and black. So, I think as long as we're not getting straight re-releases, the original releases will hold their value.
