These two matches were written for my Impact Pro wrestling PPV Heatwave, however I never got the complete this PPV. I was just wondering what you think of them.
We see the sunset rise on a beach very very slowly. Suddenly, ‘Get it poppin’ by Fat Joe and Nelly begins to play, as we see the build up in the past weeks to all the matches. In the video, we see Lesnar’s road to Heatwave, defeating AJ Styles and Kurt Angle in the tournament matches. Then the words ‘Batista’ appear in red, on a sunny background, and we see Batista finishing off Shawn Michaels, and John Cena in the tournament. Suddenly the music stops, and we see a black and white shot of Lesnar attacking Batista during the contract signing. We then see brutal images of Batista being busted open by Lesnar. We see it again and again in slow motion. After this, Lesnar fades into the shot, and out of nowhere ‘Open Your Eyes’ by Guano Apes plays, as we see Batista go nuts in the ring, kicking the ropes, looking pumped up for his match against Lesnar at Heatwave. Then ‘Get it poppin’ plays again, as we see the build up for the IMPACT Championship match between Shelton Benjamin and ‘Captain Charisma’ Jason Reso. It shows the closing moments of the battle royal, and the scuffle backstage between the two men. Then we go into another video shot, still playing ‘Get it poppin’ showing the stuff leading up to AJ Styles and Shawn Michaels. It includes Michaels super kicking Styles during a tag team match, when he was his partner, and the challenge that was made from Styles. Then the music and effect changes and ‘Superstar’ by Saliva plays when AJ Styles attacks Shawn Michaels in revenge, during Michaels’ match against Elix Skipper. Then all the packages just shown were rolled into one, in really fast motion, ending with the Sun finally completely going down.
The fireworks explode in the MCI Center in Washington D.C as the camera pans over the crowd with so many banners and signs!
JR: Welcome to Heatwave! Finally ladies and gentlemen, tonight a new era begins in Impact Wrestling, because tonight a brand new owner is being brought in. Who it is, I have no idea! I can’t wait till he arrives.
Joey Styles: Oh My God! JR I can’t believe the fans here tonight! They are so pumped up, and for good reason. Tonight, 3 Main events in the same night! We have the animal, Batista, against the pitbull that is……Brock Lesnar, for the World Heavyweight Championship!
JR: Not only that Joey, we have two young studs battling it out for the IMPACT Heavyweight Championship, when Jason Reso battles Shelton Benjamin! But we cannot forget the Past and maybe present, versus the future, when The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels battles The Phenomenal AJ Styles!
Joey: That’s right JR! This is gonna be one awesome night! Let’s get to it! We’re kicking things off with an Intercontinental Championship match!
Charlie Haas versus Edge (Freefall Intercontinental Championship)
As the dusk from the pyro settles down, Charlie Haas makes his way out into the arena from the stage. The stage is like a sunset, with strobe lighting, making it look like the Sun. Haas comes out to a huge ovation, as this young rookie looks set to capture the Intercontinental Championship. Haas climbs to the top rope, and poses for the fans.
‘Metalingus’ by Alter Bridge is heard over the PA system, as smoke rushes out on the stage. Suddenly, through a wall of this thick smoke, Edge appears in his long black jacket, and red tights. Edge runs either side of the stage to pump the fans up, and runs down the ramp and slides into the ring. Edge takes his jacket off and gets ready to begin.
The bell sounds, and both men circle around the ring. Edge and Haas tie up and Edge goes behind Haas and takes him down with a waist lock take over into a headlock. Haas reverses it, and breaks free, trapping Edge in a wrist lock. Both men return to their feet, and Haas twists Edge’s arm, whips him off the ropes, Edge ducks a clothesline and hits Haas with a dropkick. Haas returns to his feet, but Edge meets him with a clothesline, sending Haas outside the ring, to collect his thoughts. However, as the ref counts down, Edge goes outside the ring, and spears Haas into the guard rail! Haas holds his back, in pain, as Edge puts the boots to him on the outside. Edge then picks Haas up, and rolls him back into the ring. Edge picks Haas up from the mat, and whips him into the turnbuckle. Edge charges towards him, but Haas quickly moves out the way, and rolls Edge up, 1……2……but Edge kicks out! Both men run towards each other, but Haas this time ducks a clothesline, bounces off the ropes and hits Edge with a flying lariat which sends Edge down! Haas grounds Edge out, and locks Edge in a modified bow and arrow submission. Edge looks in pain, as Haas applies pressure. Edge looks in trouble, but out of nowhere, Edge reaches towards the ropes and just about gets to them. Haas capitalizes on Edge, picks him up, and delivers a nice snap suplex. Haas covers, 1………..2……......but Edge kicks out at 2. Haas picks Edge of the canvas, and whips him into the turnbuckle. Haas charges, but Edge moves out the way just in time! Haas rebounds back, and Edge hits a sit out DDT.
Edge now has the opportunity to capitalize. With Haas down, Edge goes to the top rope, and waits for Haas to get to his feet. Haas finally gets to his feet, as Edge comes flying from the top rope with a missile dropkick. Edge covers Haas, 1……2…….but Haas kicks out! Edge looks frustrated as he argues with the referee. However quickly from behind Charlie Haas rolls Edge up, 1……..2……….but Edge kicks out! Both men quickly get to their feet, and run into each other, knocking each other down with a double clothesline. The referee begins to count both men down, but they begin to stir. Edge gets to his feet first, and throws hard right hand punches to Haas. Edge whips Haas into the ropes, and catches him coming back with a back body drop. Haas gets to his feet, but is met by a clothesline by Edge. Again, Haas gets to his feet and this time is met with a forearm by Edge, knocking him into the ropes. Edge runs towards Haas, but Haas pulls the ropes down which send Edge flying outside the ring. Haas follows Edge out of the ring, and rams his head into the ring steps. Edge holds his head, as Haas races round the corner, and clobbers Edge with a clothesline! Haas rolls Edge back into the ring, and gets him to his feet. Haas whips Edge off the ropes, and connects with a hiptoss. Haas straight away hits an elbow drop and goes for the cover, 1…..2…..but Edge kicks out easily. Haas grounds out Edge, and locks him in a camel clutch. Edge looks in pain, as Haas synchs in the hold. Edge tries to crawl towards the ropes, but Haas releases the hold, jumps and sits on Edge’s back, really putting pressure on his back. Haas picks him up, and delivers a hard body slam. Haas takes advantage and goes to the second rope, but misses with the knee drop.
As Haas holds his leg, Edge makes it to his feet, and begins to stomp away to the legs of Charlie Haas. Edge locks Haas in a figure four leg lock. Haas is in trouble here, as Edge puts pressure on Haas’ weak knee. Haas looks like he is gonna tap out, but he holds on. Edge releases the hold, and places Haas’ leg on the bottom rope. He elevates himself, and comes crashing down on Haas’ weak knee! Edge continues to work on Haas’ knee. Edge picks Haas up, and kicks him in the back of the leg. Edge then hits him with a diving reverse DDT! Edge covers Haas, 1……..2………but Haas kicks out. Edge continues to go to work on Haas, and stomps away at Haas’ head. Haas’ nose starts to bleed slightly, as Edge, picks him up and goes for the Edgeucation. Out of nowhere, Haas reverses it, and almost takes Edge’s head off with a clothesline! Haas covers Edge, 1…………………….2……………………………kick out! A long two count from the referee. Haas then locks in his patented finisher, the Haas of Pain! Edge is gonna tap! Edge is in pain, as Haas applies pressure to the hold. Edge is about to tap! This one has got to be over! Edge raises his arm to tap, but he resists and reaches for the ropes. An amazing escape, as Haas picks Edge up and whips him off the ropes, and catches him coming back with a power slam! Haas covers Edge, 1……..2…….but still Edge kicks out. Edge is looking weaker, as Hass tries to lock in a mahistrol pin, as Haas rolls over, Edge holds him down while pulling the tights, 1………..2………3! Edge wins!
JR: Damnit! Out of nowhere, Edge just got the win!
Styles: Now that’s the sign of a talented wrestler. He used the leverage to get the win. Brilliant victory for Edge, and now he is the new Intercontinental Champion.
JR: No doubt about it, what a way to kick off Heatwave.
We now go backstage, where Todd Grisham is standing by with Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels.
Todd: Heartbreak Kid, tonight you are in a huge match, against someone who perhaps is the future of this sport, The ‘Phenomenal’ AJ Styles.
HBK: Todd Todd Todd. You know as well as I do that even though he is the future of the sport, he will never quite match up to the Heartbreak Kid. HBK is unique. HBK is the only superstar ever to hold all 5 Championships in the WWE. I am an icon in the business, and there is no body that can do better than Shawn Michaels.
Todd: Be that as it may, AJ Styles will be a huge test for you tonight. Styles is definitely quicker than you, and do you think he will have advantage over you what so ever?
HBK: (laughs) you gotta be kidding me right. This guy is just a jumped up kid, who thinks he has made it, all because he is wrestling an icon tonight. I mean this guy has just come from some company called TNA. I have just come from the WWE, the world wide wrestling company in which over millions of people around the World watch. So when I ask people who AJ Styles is, they don’t know! So tonight, AJ, this isn’t recess, this isn’t story time, and this is a match that you need to be prepared for. Tonight is the final chapter, in your bed time story.
HBK walks away while chewing
Todd: A confident Shawn Michaels tonight. Let’s take it back to ringside.
When we come back, it’s time for our X Division Championship 6 man challenge.
