As posted yesterday UCW would be coming to spamT and it is here as promised. Final Retribution was a great success with shocking twists and suprises.
Money In the Bank
Randy Orton vs. Matt Hardy
Randy Orton put the Money In The Bank he won at WrestleMassacre2 3 weeks ago on the line against Matt Hardy. Orton has made Hardys life a living hell as of the last 3 weeks on Riot, costing him a 4-Way #1 Contender's Match and his U.S. title to Carlito this past Thursday night. Unfortunately Randy Orton continued that punishment tonight. Matt Hardy looked like he had his shot at glory after an even paced match with Orton until Paul Bearer threw in the urn Orton and Bearer destroyed Undertaker with 3 weeks ago when they put him out of action. Hardy caught it but his spine was shaken with a devastating RKO.
Winner-Randy Orton
UCW World Tag Titles
LOD (RW Animal and Heidenreich) vs. Simon Dean & Maven
*titles vacated*
Next Madness had their opening match and a quick one at that. Simon Dean and Maven could not keep up with the still undefeated LOD. Animal quickly took out Simon Dean who then brought in Maven. Maven wore out The Road Warrior but surely enough Heidenreich saved the day and Maven recieved a Doomsday Device from the new Tag Team champs.
Winners-LOD
UCW US Title
Carlito(Champ) vs. Chavo vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Shannon Moore
Great match put on by these 4. Alot of highflying spots which for the most part were all hit perfectly. Chavo jumped off the top turnbuckle to the floor onto Benjamin. Chavo and Benjamin went at it like dogs which isn't a suprise. These two will never get over the fact they lost 2 tag title shots. Shannon Moore received an unbelievable pop just like his debut match on Riot against Carlito. Shannon Moore was injured pretty bad in this match and had to be taken out by medical assistants and right as Carlito got back into the ring with what looked like a big win for underdog Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin dove into the rope crashing into Carlito's back only to be taken by suprise with a falling knee drop sending quivers up Benjamins spine. The undefeated Carlito continued his streak here on Riot as now lies 6-0 after a hard fought win.
Winner and still US Champ-Carlito.
UCW IC Title
Kane (Champ) vs. Chris Masters
Kane was expecting another win like he had against Booker T at WM2 or Viscera this past week on Raw but Masters brought it his all. Perhaps the IC Champs toughest opponent since winning the IC Title last month. Masters kept working on the knees of Kane almost crippling him. But the Big Red Machine found a way out as always, and continued the warpath he's caused the last few weeks on Raw and retained the IC title with a chokeslam followed by a tombstone (which we havent seen in months).
Winner and still IC Champ-Kane
#1 Contender for World Title
JBL vs. Booker T.
Since Booker T's babyface turn he has been humiliated by JBL week after week like 2 weeks ago almost giving him a concussion in the 4-Way #1 Contenders Match with a horrific chair shot to the skull and this past week with "Booker T's accomplishments" in which he talked about how Booker T's IC Title Reign was short and he was a nobody. It continued when JBL graced the ring with a funny promo with him saying he had a video on Booker T's biggest moments in UCW which ended up being a blank screen and JBL laughing. Booker T ran out and pummled on JBL for at least half of the match. JBL gained an advantage and these two fought all over the ramp and around the announcers area. Booker T. kicked JBL in the midsection and was about to hit a spinning heel kick but JBL hit the Clothesline from Hell and grabbed some tights to earn himself a title shot next month.
Winner-JBL
Edge vs. Shawn Michaels
This one got very personal this past Monday on Madness when Shawn was featured on The Cutting Edge and Edge tore Michaels apart by bashing his religious point of view, his family, and his legacy. Shawn reacted with a SuperKick and many were hoping to see that tonight. As Shawn's music hit he ran to the ring in a hurry and these two battled like animals. Back and forth this match went with a beautiful highflying spot with Michaels getting caught in the ropes and squirming his way out behind Edge's back and him leaping onto and jumping off the top rope with a double axe handle. Great match especially at the end with spear after super kick after spear. But the end Michaels hit it for the 2nd time as the crowd went nuts and Michaels winning the match and gaining back his respect and Piper named Michaels shortly after as the #1 contender for the UCW Title.
Winner-Shawn Michaels
Hardcore Battle Royal
This match featured Stevie, RVD, Orlando Jordan, Mick Foley, Hassan, and Hardcore Holly. So much chaos in this one, especially when favorite Mick Foley climbed the stage with Muhammed Hassan and came crashing down with a horrific barbed wire bat to the skull. Holly, Jordan, and RVD fought back and forth for the majority of the match with Stevie sent to the back with a dislocated shoulder off a horrific crash with RVD's Five Star. This match ended when RVD and Hardcore Holly pinned each other in a shocking turn of events. This match went to a draw when GM Piper came out and made a match Madness this week between Holly and Van Dam but not any match. A HARDCORE TITLE MATCH! Biggest pop of the night right after that.
Winner-Draw
UCW Tag Titles
MNM vs. Paul London & Tajiri
MNM only defeated London and Tajiri 2 weeks ago in their debut match on Riot in a TLC match which left Nitro and Tajiri both milking injuries tonight. Didnt see much of Tajiri in this bout. Pretty short Match. MNM retained the titles with a roll-up pin on London. Very big disappointment after the tremendous TLC match 2 weeks ago.
Winners-MNM
UCW World Heavyweight Title Match
Kurt Angle (Champ) vs. John Cena
*loser leaves Riot*
Shocking chain of events occuring during and after this match. Great match over-all. You couldve expected Daivari to get involved in this match as he did from the beginning. Many fans booing Cena as usual by the way. Angle kept playing tricks on Cena with Daivaris help. Alot of german's and suplexs in this match both ways. Angle started working on Cena's right ankle and it showed Cena was selling this one for real. Daivari distracted the ref shortly after but at the wrong time. He slid in a chair to angle but when the ref turned around Cena tapped from the ankle lock. Angle chased Daivari around and caught him delivering a huge olympic slam. Huge pop for Angle (possible face turn?). Cena hit the FU and only got a two count on the champ. Out comes Eugene, whos saved John Cena two weeks in a row from Angle who really gave Eugene a beating on Riot 3 weeks ago. Eugene didn't help much but Angle wasn't distracted. Finally Cena locks in the STFU and fans started booing and screaming. In the most shocking and best looking spot of the night, Angle pulls himself up and hits the Olympic Slam and hits the 1-2-3. Very mixed reaction from the crowd. Angle grabs the belts and hurries up the ramp.
Winner-Kurt Angle
Teddy Long runs out and apologizes to Cena for what has happened. Cena shoves Long and gives him a serious mugging. The crowd is in disbelief and Cena walks up the ramp to his basic Thuganomics music. Unbelieveable turn of events. Teddy is brought up the ramp with assisants.
UCW Championship 30 Minute Iron-Man Match
Triple H vs. Batista (Champ)
As announced on Madness Ric Flair would accompany Batista and Orton would accompany Hunter. Orton and Flair went at it most of the time. Piper came out with a shocking announcement. He has changed this match to a "Throw in the Towel" match. Confused is both champ and challenger. Unbelieveable match pitting both Orton and Flair in some tough spots questioning if Hunter or Batista really had enough. Match lasted just about 30 minutes either way, but a shocking outcome. Obviously neither one of these superstars are farmiliar with any submission holds, but you knew Piper had something up his sleeve. They all did. Batista hit the Batista Bomb and Orton then distracted the ref and Batista attacked Orton. To everyones suprise the ref rang the bell. Theres no disqualifications. But Flair threw in the towel! Batista not only saw his advesaries hand raised but his dreams shattered. It was all gone like a dream. Flair laughed hysterically and held Triple H's hand. Biggest boo of the night. Batista looked like he was about to cry as Triple H held up the UCW Title and ended Batista's 6 month title reign. (the longest title reign in history)
Winner-Triple H
Well I hope everyone enjoyed it. I took a very long time posting these results so please just give a short opinion. It would be greatly appreciated. More UCW news and results to come in the future if i see intrest. I would like to see how much feedback i get before i post last nights Madness results so I'll see. Im out everyone. Take care as always.
