Hey everybody.
I just brought identity thief starring Melissa McCarthy, IT IS ONE OF THE WORST FLIMS MY EYES HAVE EVER SEEN. It 2 hours long and it has taken nearly a week to watch it. Such an over rated actress.
Anyone else have terrible flims in their collection

I generally only "blind buy" a movie if I've heard good things about it, and past that the only movies I buy are one's I like and have already seen, so I don't really have any BAD ones in my collection (not in my opinion anyway)...

Happened one time.....bought Die Hard 5 on Blue out of good faith. It was sent to the charity shop shortly after. My Blu Ray collection is reserved for the best of new movies(MCU etc) and upgrading some older absolute faves. Aliens, Ghostbusters etc etc etc.

Melissa McCarthy is a horrid actress.
I've blind bought a few things. None worse than Resident Evil: Retribution, at least that I can think of off the top of my head. I really enjoyed Afterlife, for the first time in the series since the original, but Retribution was damn near unwatchable imo. As a super fan of the game series though I give every attempt a shot. I thought they finally kind of figured it all out with taking Alice's powers away and making Afterlife feel more game-like, but that all just went to sh*t. I've never even got around to giving it away, for fear of exposing it to someone else...
Transformers 4 is another one I bought blindly not too long ago on Black Friday. It was $4, so it kind of was what it was, but man what a terrible movie.

The Family The Dark Knight Rises. The only reason I bought it was to own the trilogy. The Purge.

Melissa McCarthy makes me angry.. I dislike her so much I get mad.
I blindly bought Fast & Furious 6 last Christmas.. Literally took me over a year to watch it.
Disliked it.

I blind buy movies ALL. THE. TIME...
The way I see it is, even if it's a movie I don't like, I can still learn something as a filmmaker. Still cheaper than film school, too.
Movies I've Blind Bought so I can't judge, because I haven't watched them yet: - Maleficent -Shutter Island -Into the Woods - A Good Day to Die Hard -Edge of Tomorrow -Lucy
Movies that I bought on BD, I probably wouldn't have bought at all, had I known: -Bait (the Great Whites in a Supermarket) on BD, I got from Blockbuster when they were closing. Hard for me to pass up a Shark movie, so long as it doesn't end in -nado. -Bridesmaids was painfully unfunny to me. -GI Joe: Retaliation -Hansel & Gretel (Sorry Renner) -Hercules 3D (Sorry Adkins) -The LEGO Movie (sue me, I hated it) - Ninja II (Sorry again, Adkins) -Oculus (I don't get why it was called one of the better horror movies from last year?) -Ride Along (It's really hard for me to find Kevin Hart funny in large doses) -The Three Musketeers (the most recent big budget one)

I bought the Indiana Jones set which includes Crystal Skull. Ugh. Oh YEAH!!!!!! I blind bought all the Indiana Jones movies recently, too. Still only watched the first one. I had never seen Indiana Jones prior to 2015. This was unacceptable.

I genuinely think it's fantastic and I don't know that the thriller noir concept has ever been put to such good use. I've watched that movie at least a dozen times. I really should just buy it. I also really love Edge of Tomorrow. I've heard people compare it to Source Code, a film I also enjoyed, but I think it's a similar concept done much better. It's pretty deeply rooted in the psychology of the characters as much as it is the "save the day" plotline. But yeah, I own EoT and have watched it multiple times at this point. Hansel & Gretel was disappointingly terrible. I'm a big fan of Renner and Arterton too.

Only films I've blind bought on blu-ray so far has been No Country For Old Men and the first Blade. Needless to say I was not dissapointed, but that's mainly because I know what I like.

I very rarely buy movies anywhere. Between Netflix and Amazon Prime most I want are available for free. If not I can almost always rent them for a small price if I really want to watch them.
The only Blu Rays I have ever bought is Wrestlemania 24 and that is only because I was there. Owning physical copies of movies seems pretty pointless these days as it costs more, and takes up space.
